06 - Petty Crush

On the highway, there were 4 six-seater trucks and 2 jeeps driving at high speed. In one of the Jeeps, were seated a council member, his right-hand man, Alpha Stephan, and gamma Jasper as the driver. The two men seated at the back seemed aloof without a bother in the world.

The Council member looked out at the scenery admiring mother nature in its purest form. He was calm as the sea with an icy aura that would make even an Alpha tremble in fear.

Stephan glanced at the man next to him wondering how he could be so calm at a time like this. As an alpha, he was a bundle of a mess not knowing if the wolves would have what it takes to beat the vampires. For 3 centuries, there have been no problems with the vamps so the current generation has no idea how to face off an actual vampire. These vampires are over a century years old and counting therefore, these vampires have fought with wolves and have the advantage of muscle memory. 'Against them, we don't stand a chance' Stephen thought. He looked out the window trying to calm his nerves with the cool breeze from the window.

"What are the current numbers of The Crescent Moon Pack members Alpha Stephan," he asked

Stephan was shocked that he spoke. They've been in this car for 3 hours with no real words spoken and even his voice sends chills down your spine. He looked at the man curtly and replied "195 men, 216women, and 115 children Lord Ethan"

"How many are warriors?"

"We have 233 warriors"

"Any pregnant she-wolf?"

"There are 12 pregnant she-wolves and 34 nursing mothers"

"Out of the 233 warriors, how many of them are soldiers?"

"85 of them sir"

Hearing that, Ethan looked out the window again, clearly lost in thought. He was busy running and processing all of the possible strategies to implement and how it could turn out depending on the number of vampires they face.

He was always known as a perfectionist and there is no way his journey and mission to their pack is going to be anything less than that.

At the packhouse, Diana was picking flowers in the garden with Annie and 2 other omegas. This was her first official duty as the Lunas beta and 1st hand woman. Thinking about it, a smile crept up her face, this was the 1st time in two years that she can help the pack and participate in the official duties.

Looking at the flowers laying in the baskets, she stood up, dusted her hands on her dress, and said "We are done, let's go".

They had 3 baskets of yellow Lily and a basket of white roses. She took them to the guest quarters which was the 4th floor of the packhouse. Sitting on the living room floor, they began to make bouquets with the 2 flowers. Each bouquet has both flowers beautifully arranged to liven up the mood of the coming warriors and say thank you in advance. As Diana made the bouquet, Annie put them in vases while the omega's took them to each room and placed it by the bedside. She made a total of 36 flower bouquets and 24 were used for the guest's rooms on this floor. She placed 2 in the living room they were in. "Annie, take these to the dining main hall and use them to replace what's there," she said, handing over 4 flower bouquets to her. She handed 3 white rose bouquets to one omega and said "Use this to replace the ones in the dining hall"

She turned to the other omega, gave her 3, and said follow me. As they reached the stairs the two teams went their separate ways. Annie went down with the omega while Dian went up with the other omega.

On arriving on the Alphas floor, she saw Clarissa and some other omega's coming in and out of the rooms close to hers. Stepping into the chambers opposite hers, she placed one of the flowers on the living room table and another on the nightstand. She left with the omega and went into the door at the end of the hall, beside her door. This was one of the 3 Ace guest chambers specially made for VVIPs which is rarely used. On walking in, the place was 2 times the size of her quarters. Clarissa was seated on the love seat with her entourage staring at her fingers like they were the most beautiful thing in the world.

The omega who was just done cleaning bowed to Clarissa and Diana and walked out of the room. Diana went into the bedroom and was shocked by the detailed decor and design. It was beautiful but a little too feminine. She placed the flowers and rounded up the bedsheets, taking them out of the room.

As she came out to the living area, she instructed the omega that came with her to drop the flowers on the bookshelf. She handed the bed sheet to her and said "Keep this and get me dark blue ones instead"

"Yes ma'am the omega replied, walking off with the bedsheets in her hand".

She placed the other flower on the living room table as she walked into her chambers. She carefully removed the other flower from the jug, changed it with the fresh ones when Clarissa barged in with her entourage.

"The Princess is decorating her room". Clarissa said "Why exactly?" She asked venomously as she looked around with envy. This is the first time she was stepping into Diana's chambers in two years and it has changed so much. It was more beautiful, mature, and screamed elegance and that made her heart boil. 'Why did she have to be born as the Alphas daughter and not me?!' She screamed mentally, jealousy taking over.

"None of your business Clarrisa, get out of my chambers please" Diana replied lazily

Clarissa was more infuriated with this version of Diana so she took a step closer and said "My dear Diana, you will be 18 in 2 days, and just like last year, everyone will be watching you shift and like the last 2 years, you will disappoint them once again"

She laughed with her entourage and continued "Lord Ethan will be here this evening, my brother told me and I would like you to stay away from him. Don't even think that you can get into his bed just because his chambers are right next to yours. I will be keeping an eye on your b***h so better stay clear of him".

"In case you've not gotten the news yet Clarissa, am the new appointed beta female and Luna's right-hand woman which means I am in charge of taking care of the guests. I won't stay away from one of the guests because of your petty crush and insecurity, after all, we are enemies now."

Diana sidestepped a shocked and jealous Clarissa and when she got to the door, she turned to her and said sarcastically "You better leave my chambers as I walk out else don't blame me for accusing her Majesty of stealing from the Princess chamber"
