Maddox's POV
I knock on the door and wait for someone to open. Two minutes later, Candice opens the door and smiles at me. I smile back at her as she gives me a way to enter the house.
"Ophelia is not here at the moment" she says, closing the door behind us.
"No no. I am here for Zelda actually. Is she here?" I ask her as if I don't know she is in her room trying to sleep.
"Oh. You are here for her?" She asks again and I nod.
"Zelda!! Maddox is here to see you" Candice screams and then walks into the kitchen while I make myself comfortable on the couch.
I take in the scent of cinnamon and then I see Zelda walk slowly towards me. She usually hops and jumps whenever she notices me so looking at her this way is different.
