"Lower the gates" I tell Matthias and he looks at me once again just to make sure I am not joking. And I am not. I am dead serious.
"Inform Drake" I whisper to Sienna as Matthias slowly lowers the gates.
I see Lilith who has changed a lot, not appearance wise. Of course. She is a vampire so she wouldn't age. But what I do see for a change is her demeanor. The way she is standing. The way she is looking at something. The way she is oozing with some kind of confidence that I don't know where it is coming from.
As soon as the gates are lowered down, she notices me and smiles. I wonder if she is still the same Lilith who was head over heels for me at one point of time.
