Chapter 15:
“You know you need to stop coming here. We are not a hospital, after all.” A familiar voice called to Kennedy in a dream.
“I’m sorry, where is here?” Kennedy opened her eyes and found herself lying in the satin vampire’s coffin, once again, surrounded by the round faces of golden-eyed Gnomes. All eyes were glued on her near-naked form. The queen looked down at her from the right side.
“We found you and the cat laid out in the vampire’s box. Any idea of how you got past our security?” Esmeralda asked. Kennedy was surprised the woman didn’t sound too terribly angry with her.
“Last I remember, I was in the Abyss…”
“That explains it. The Abyss tends to send you when and where you are needed most.”
“We… we closed the cube, banished the creators.”
