Chapter 14:
The others were easy to find. Dani’s blood made a red trail down the steps. Too easy to not follow.
At the bottom of the steps, the trail stopped. Randell and Trinity worked hard to stop the bleeding. Dani lay unconscious. The others leaned against the wall in silent shock. They did their best to stay out of the way and let the pair work to save Dani’s life. Kennedy could tell it was a battle they might not win. The pain of loss hit her once again.
They had lost half the casters and not even found the entrance to the Abyss… This was going much worse than expected.
“We need to keep moving…” Kennedy risked a glance up the staircase. “The Warden is still outside… really pissed off now.”
