REVERIE OF THE AWAKEN MIND

Chapter 29

Stanley was exchanging power with this strange creature. Amara was just standing at his back as he said and was narrowing her eyes while seriously looking at Stanley who are looking at his peak and was so want to take the creature and she noticed that the power that came from this animal wasn't ordinary.

Now, she concluded that she was right from the very first time that she had her eyes landed on this creature. She knew for fact that it was controlled. Either way, it has a master and that would be the very hard part of taking it's life.

"Amara, I told you to stay at my back! This one is not a joke, it's not ordinary for even though it was getting bruises in every strike I made, it didn't seem getting weaker. Instead, it's getting stronger every strike," Stanley said while continued to strike the creature. It ended accepting all the powers he released but it didn't even take a bit of the strength that it has.

"I can help," she retaliates and positioned herself beside Stanley. The guy even looked at her like she was kind of kidding and surely didn't like the idea of her joining this battle. She then released a water sword.

She isn't sure if it's still hot for she couldn't feel that herself. Well, whatever it is, as long as nothing of the Holiesters would know about the hotness that her water has, no problem.

"Amara!"

Stanley shouted and eventually was stunned when Amara ran towards that creature while holding her grip with that sword. He immediately followed Amara when he got his mind back and all.

"Amara, slow down!" Stanley shouted and Amara heard that.

But she didn't mind Stanley's voice and continued running towards this strange thing without taking her eyes off of this. She doesn't know if this thing has a weakness or on how to bring it down for it is the first time in her life that she witnessed this thing in the world. She was holding the water sword so tight and was about to attack the unknown animal when it suddenly fell down on the ground that made her stunned.

As she stopped moving, Stanley bumped on her back. She was narrowing her eyes in confusion of what the hell is happening. The animal seems dead but neither of her and Stanley made an attack to bring this stupid thing down.

"What happened?" she asked and sounded so curious.

"Don't." Stanley immediately succored when she was about to walk closer to that animal. She looked at Stanley and he was looking at her very intently and worried-ness was obviously written on his face. "We need to inform Mr. Director as well as the council so they can run a test of this. We do not know what is this one that tried to attack us and it was indeed a dangerous thing," said the Prince and she was just looking at the animals.

Amara flinched to look at her hands the moment she felt the Prince's hand touches hers and hold it tightly. Stanley was stepping back away from the laying strange animal and he was pulling her with him. She flinched for she couldn't understand the thing that kind of run through her veins. She know there is something within her because of the elements that joined on her ability but the thing that crumpled her stomach because of Stanley held her hand was a different thing.

Stanley looked at her and all of a sudden she panicked. She grabbed her hand and her eyes couldn't stay where to stare and stay and she was trying to avoid his gaze.

"Y-you n-need to go inform the council. I-I will go back to where I left my best friend Gillian. She's probably waiting for me now," she said and her tone was not really that managed and she know that. She heard her voice and she sounded like different — not her usual tone — she freaking even stutter.

The Prince stared at her like he was digging his sight unto her soul. Stanley was about to speak when they heard the groaned from her behind and due o her reflexes, she immediately turned and get herself into position.

"Amara, this one is really not making a joke. Please stay on my back." Said Stanley in his firm voice.

"I can fight," she insisted because she indeed can.

She know that she can. She glances at Stanley who's trying to protect her with his left arm while his right hand was releasing a spike ice and was so ready for the attack of this thing. Amara narrowed her eyes while staring straight to this animal and that she found out that the animal was looking at her but her ability couldn't reach the deepest of it.

But she was certain that this thing is controlled and nothing would possibly do that. The Holy University was attacked and now this thing showed up.

"It's looking at me," she uttered that made Stanley looked at her gritting his teeth.

"What?!"

He then grabbed Amara and put her in his back. The strange animal again groaned. Amara released once again the water sword and run to get out from Stanley's back to face the attack of this thing. "Amara!"

She didn't listened to Stanley and with him, she fight with the animal that still not looking getting any pain from their power. Their ability seems to be useless. "Aah sh*t!"

"Stanley!"

Amara shouted in startle when Stanley get attacked by this thing and get thrown away. She rushed to run and succored the Prince. And while running to the direction where Stanley landed, the animal that looks like a cow — an elephant, no, it's not like that. She couldn't tell what kind of an animal is this one.

"Are you okay? Can you stand up?' She asked him and he nodded.

She then felt the heavy air that is coming to their direction, she immediately wrapped her arm around Stanley and rushed to dodged the thing that is coming over. She then released her power to attack again the animal. She felt the stare of Stanley but they're in the middle of the battle.

She stood up while exchanging powers to this animals. She can fly but she know that Stanley doesn't know that. On the other hand, he was just the one in here. Amara bring herself on the air to level the top of this animal that groaned upon seeing her flying.
