Amara as well stop walking when Gillian held her arm and stopped walking. She understood why, they're going to bump the Royalty Holiester they have been talking for almost the whole day. Hailey and Camille are both wearing the smile that shows the two of them such like — back off.
Hailey had her hands inside in her pocket while not taking her eyes off to Amara. Amara would never give Hailey the opportunity of shaking her ground. She knew in this place — in Holy University, she has all the disadvantages. Hailey hold the major chance of winning in here for everyone would stand in hrler side.
"She was looking at you like she is going to bring you down. She was smiling like superior," she heard Gillian mumbled in her ear.
"She indeed is a superior," she answered whispering. She knows that Hailey wasn't just stronger than her, she was also a Holiester that she would bow her head..
Ahw just didn't get it, why all of a sudden the royals eyes are just landed on her. If only she could just change what just happened very recently and bring back the days where these Holiesters weren't coming to her.
"I am glad that I got to see you two again, here. How was your day, Amara? I hope you are doing well," Hailey said in her very low tone.
"I am doing well, Hailey. Thank you for asking," she answered bowing her head a little. This was the first time she bowed her head to a Royalty that is in her class.
"You bowed your head yet you didn't address her well?" Camille said raising her brows. Gillian was about to speak but Camille instead spoke again, "you know, Amara and Gillian. You two are both exceptional. I mean, you brought the lower class in the top 10. But despite with that, we all know that you would just step back to where you truely belong. I don't want you guys to expect things that are so much out pf your league — like, being a part of the royal team."
Amara cleared her throat a little for while listening Camille's words, she was kind off want to teach this girl the manner of how she would have to deliver words according to what she was telling. Camille obviously blunting words that are not supposed to sound sarcastic.
"Thank you for the reminder, Camille — I mean, Lady Camille. Don't worry, there was never a day that me and Amara forgot that we don't belong in the group. We apologize for not addressing you right, Lady Hailey. I hope you two won't take it bad when I would want to give my best and all in here," Gillian seriously said. "Plus, Amara was the last Holiester that would want to be part of the royal team. She would never dream of being with the team, so, I just want to tell the both of you that we are not doing things against to any of you guys."
Amara cracked a little smile for she wants to give Gillian an around of applause of being so brave. Gillian was never this bold and she was surprised that she indeed delivered those words without even stuttering in a second.
*"Do you realize that — that was so hot?"* she said in Gillian's mind, chuckling when she just saw how her best friend whines a little.
*"Please stop teasing me. These Holiesters are coming to you, I am just protecting your ass,"* Gillian spoke abd obviously she was sounding like a mad girl who just reached the peak of her patience.
"I never thought you two would be this brave. I know you are strong — stronger than the other lower class. I just want to remind the two of you, that no one from the lower class is allowed to outsmart of any of the royalties."
Amara blinked and smirked as she heard those words just came out from the lips of this Royalty that every Holiesters in this Holy University would bow their heads. Come on, Hailey never come into her way, she was never been blocked by any of the royalties before yet this one seems to be different.
"I — we are not outsmarting any of the royalties, Lady Hailey. Not, you, not any of your friends. Holy University requires to have a students with the ability of protecting their selves as well as has the guts of fighting for the safety of the Holy Land," she answered with so much smoothness in her voice, sounding so much respect she knew herself that was the best lie she ever did.
"Are you telling me that we — royalties are not capable of protecting the Holy Land and that gave you the opportunity of entering your ass in here?"
Alright. That's it! She would have just laugh her lungs out with that question. But knowing these ladies in front of them are from the group who would never let any of the lower classes show their laughter in their faces, she chose to stay still.
"That is not what I mean, Lady Hailey. That is way to far from what I said," she answered.
"Amara, once again I will tell you. I know that you are Kean's sister. However, Kean didn't like the idea of you being his sister so I would like to give you a piece of advice so you won't get yourself into a trouble. Never meddle with royal's activity or missions. You are not exempted to get a punishment of any of the activities you want to butt in," said Hailey. An no — more like, a novel from this royalty herself.
"Thank you for the warning. I will surely keep that in mind," she answered, smiling.
"Before I forgot, what the two of you did in that mountain where we were looking for something important that the council asked us royals to do so?"
Hailey'd voice this time was getting firmer. She was giving and showing them a bit of authority as she should have. Damn! This royalties are still thinking that she and Gillian went there with something to so with that fired ball.
She was about to open her mouth and answer this seemingly unfinished question with all the royalties when her eyes the two best friends coming into their way. Kean and the Prince of Holy Kingdom, Prince Stanley.
She and Gillian bowed their heads when the boys reaches their direction. Stanley wad eyeing on her as well as Hailey. Well, she would never get wrong to find this out that among the two of them between her and Gillian, she was the target.
"What is going on, Hailey?" Prince Stanley asked.
Hailey just rolled her eyes and didn't even bother to give a glance to the Prince. She was just looking at Amara very intently.
"Hailey was just asking a question. You know, the mountain encounter," said Camille, crossing her arms in her chest and shrugging her shoulder — what a brat!
"The council will investigate that very soon. Stop asking them a question, they have no idea what thing we were looking in there," said Kean and was glancing Gillian and his brother's eyes endeed in her.
Kean was like giving her a hint like staying away from him or from any of the royals. She wants to roll her eyes for how come this guy came to think of like she was stepping towards them when in fact she was trying to stay away from them very hard.
"I have already been asked by Lady Penelope and I have done explaining the reason why you guys saw us there. I will not be explaining again," she answered without taking her eyes off from these Holiesters standing right in front of her.
"Hmp!"
Hailey glared and Camille rolled her eyes. They both turned their back in unison. Kean also followed the girls without saying anything to them. Prince Stanley was there, still standing in front her, looking at her very serious like he was trying to go deeper into her soul tp find something she don't know what.
"Your friends have already left, Prince Stanley," Gillian broke the silence that made Stanley blink and look at beside him.
"Hailey gets what she wants and I don't want you to get into her way for Hailey would never hold her hand back just to spare you," he warned.
Amara's brows immediately raised like it has their own lives. She wanted to laugh with that warning. What on earth was the reason why she would like to get into Hailey's way? Is she insane? Hailey was the best actor of this University. She can act like she was the most precious porcelain where in fact, she was the hardest stone of this Land — and that is because of being a daughter a Royalty that also made her one before even she got born.
"You don't need to give me a warning, Prince Stanley. We maybe didn't say anything before nor we seem like didn't give any care about the happenings of the Holy University but rest assured that we didn't missed to know what kind of Holiesters we are bumping our way around the University," she said, smiling to give satisfaction to the Prince.
Stanley was trying to hold back his smile but it didn't happen. He just cracked a smile with the unknown reason that made him smile. What the heck even made him smile?
"If that so, I hope that Hailey won't give trouble to the both of you," said Prince Stanley.
"If only we lower classes are not treated like trash ----" she stopped when Gillian elbowed her side like she was stopping her to tell want she want to say.
She looked at the Prince and she saw how the smile in his face slowly fading and it went serious. She saw how immediately his eyes burning in any emotions. She couldn't tell if he was mad or something.
"She didn't mean what she said, Prince Stanley," said Gillian, trying to cover her up. But she was so sick of covering things up when she knew that this Prince knows what is happening around him.
He had been to Holy City, class 1 and class 2 village. Here, in this Holy University, it was so clear how royalties and those class 1 Holiesters treated them. He was never been blind, he knew every detail of happenings.
And that is what wonders Amara a lot, why the heck Prince Stanley was just allowing lower classes to be treated like they have the most dangerous illness the Holy Land could have.
Stanley smiled a little and glance at her. Amara looked at here with no emotion. "You sound like mad," he mumbled that made Amara raise her brow at him.
"I am not mad, I'm just upset," she admitted. Stanley looks like having fun of here and she would just shrug with that. Who cares?
She glances at the back of the Prince when the presence of Hailey came out and walking back unto their direction and whom who didn't look like pleased. Hailey was looking at her like she was going to eat Amara alive.
"Stanley why are you here?" Hailey asked Stanley and the guy didn't even look at her.
"Why did you came back?" he asked her back.
"The director summoned us, we need to be in the office in 15 minutes," she answered.
Amara give a glance to Gillian and they both nodded in unison. They were about to turn their back but Amara's eyes widened with someone held her pulse that made her stop. She is no looking for the heck was holding her but she knew who was it. She looked at the hand of the man holding her grip before slowly lifting her head to meet the gaze of the guy.
"We are leaving, Prince Stanley," she said when she met the eyes of the Prince looking at her very intently.
"I am going to talk you once we bump each other's way once again," he said.
Hailey's forehead knotted and her eyes narrowed with what just she heard. She looked at the Prince as well as Amara and she's looking the two of them like she was about to blow up.
"I have already answered the question when Lady Hailey asked me what I was doing in the mountain, Prince Stanley. I would just answer you the same," she mumbled though she doesn't know what was this Prince talking about — the needed of talk.
"If she don't want to answer us honestly, don't force her Stanley. Let's go," Hailey said.
Amara narrowed her eyes and looked at the princess—in—line, did she just said she was lying?
"For your information, Lady Hailey, we are telling you the truth. And I don't know what truth you are waiting for us to tell you guys when we have nothing to spill," Gillian answered. She was kind off liking the fact of butting in in Hailey's nonsense argument.
And with that, Amara grabbed her best friend's arm and turn their back at the two royatly member without waiting them to fight back against Gillian's answer. Amara was wondering in what kind of attitude does the Prince was showing at them.
"I knew you can be fearless but I never know it would be this sound so hot for you," she said laughing that made Gillian sent a glare and went into face palm.
"Nah, if you only knew I was trembling my knees, it was just — I had enough with these royalties blocking us our way, hoping to get answer in the same question they just mumbled," said Gillian, rolling her eyes.
"Although, we can tell free our thoughts and all, we still have to be always careful. Royals are still royals and they're not a friend," she reminded her best friend.
She herself has the worst experience made from a royalty who happened to be his brother. With that, it only shows that despite the blood that flows down their veins, it was nothing when the other half wasn't a Royalty.
"I know. I would also never wish to have a friend such royals. I know that in times of crisis, they would just leave me alone — without minding the fact that I would be in the need of help."
Amara chuckled when Gillian flip her hair with those words. The both of them zippered each other's mouth as they stepped in their foot inside the classroom where much of their fellow Holiesters that are there inside are royals and from the class 1.
Obviously, they all got along with each other — excluded them both who came from the class 2. Amara silently sit her ass down into her chair and silently observing the whole classroom. Their companies are talking here and there, enjoying things they made from their powers and all.
She blinked when the moment she glanced the entrance door of the room, the eyes of the Prince showed up to her. Hailey was locking her arms around Prince Stanley's elbow without minding other Holiesters. They don't look sweet or that has something intimate around, they just looked like so comfortable with other's arm.
Kean entered after them and Kean was looking at her. She couldn't point it out if those eyes from his brother has something to tell or what. But she was certain that whatever Kean is going to tell her, it would never change the fact that he have already ended his blood relationship with her and their mother. And that made her choose to stop thinking him as her brother.
She also would never waste her ability of seeing and reading Kean's mind just to know what he was thinking. Mind can sometimes be deceiving, especially when they have an idea that she can read mind? They would just deceive her all around. Her mom was wise enough to tell her never tell anyone her ability.
Their powers have so much advantages but also has tons of disadvantages. It can also be used against them with those Holiesters who are belittling them lower classes just because they belonged in the poor village. With that fact, her heart ached for those Holiesters living in the next town that are treated like the disgusting individuals.
"Can I take this seat?"
She almost jump in startle when somone just spoke beside her. Her eyes widened a little when I saw who was it — Prince Stanley.
*"What the heck is he doing here?"*
She went face palm when the Prince just showed his teeth in a smile before sitting his ass down the seat he took. She didn't answer the question for it seems like, it doesn't need for an answer, he didn't wait for her to say a word and immediately took the seat. So there's no sense of asking her if he could have the seat.
"I once thought you were mute."
Her eyes narrowed after hearing those words. He thought she was mute? Just because she always chose to stay silent and to never be one of the crowd, she's mute? Is this guy serious? What the heck just happened and he started talking to her? He was never even say a word to her.
"I'm sorry for confusing you, Prince Stanley," she answered, whispering as she had to make sure that no one of their classmates could hear her talking to their Prince.
"Oh, no! You didn't confused me. It was me who had wrong impression. You were reserved for you know where to give your voice," said the Prince.
She can now feel the glances from her best friend in her peripheral view. She just didn't give a damn.
"I am glad to hear that."
