Amara woke up in the morning and immediately turn to see and check the ball she hid inside her cabinet of clothes. Nothing happened, it stays still as it is. She stil wonder why of all Holiester, why she? She's been thinking if it would be great if she surrender this thing to the palace.
She have never been in the palace and she hasn't seen how it looks like. She can only have a hologram imagination in her mind because of how it looks like as described in the book. Lower classes of the Holiesters are always wanted to see the palace with their own eyes. Though, that is impossible for them. Only the Royals and the authorized class 1 are allowed to step their feet inside the premises of the palace.
She closed back the cabinet and she went to the garden of flowers and vegetables her mom take care of to give them water. Since yesterday her mother already went to the neighborhood town, she will be going today to the Holy City Market to sell some veges. While she, she needs to go back to Holy University with Gillian before Lady Penelope come over to check on them.
She almost jumped in startle when she saw the serious face of her brother standing infront of their house door. He seems to be there for a quite while now. Amara looked back to check on her mom and luckily her mother was facing her back on them and busy in the kitchen for their breakfast.
"What are you doing here?" she coldly asked Kean and shut the door to make sure that her mother won't see Kean. She still hate him and how dare to come into the place of a woman he insulted.
"Amara, I want to talk to you," Kean answered in a low tone.
Amara smirked and looked at him from head to toe. She walks towards their garden to stay a little away from their home. She can feel the steps behind her, Kean followed her and for what reason that he wants to talk to her, she had no idea.
"I don't think we have an important thing to discuss, your highness. I want you to leave now and if still want to have words of me, talk to me in the Holy University. I will be attending class today," she seriously said.
She despises him, she still and she will never forget how this man delivered the word of insult against her mother. From that moment, she have already ended the relationship of them as a half brother and sister. She will never tolerate such kind of Manners, that would hurt her mother so bad.
"I can feel you anger towards me. I want to know why you became suddenly this cold towards me. I couldn't talk to you in Holy ----"
"Why? Because you are a Royalty and you don't want your colleagues to see you talking to me because I'm a low class Holiester? Kean, you have already shown your true color to me. From that day forward I have already forgotten that I have a brother — well, in fact I never felt that I had a brother even before. So stop reaching out to me, that sounds really plastic that I want to laugh," she saw how Kean's eyes shrapened it sight towards her.
Among the two of them, Kean is way stronger than her but she will never hold back to fight against him if he wants a battle. She will use all the insults to attack hi all her might.
"I'm asking you to understand me, Amara. I was moving with the royalties around me," he retaliates.
"I understand, that is why I am not obliging you to talk to me before, to ask how was mom doing, I only see you like an air and I didn't bother you. But, insulting mom is a different story Kean. So leave now, I have to ready myself and any moment from now, my best friend will be coming over," she told him.
Kean's eyes narrowed like it seems that he didn't understand what she said. Was he forgotten the words she said against her mother? That thought boiled Amara's blood like she wants this month to get eaten by the water and drown him to death.
"Amara, I had to say all those things so that those Holiesters with me will never laught at me, they will be mocking ---" Amara raised her hand to stop him.
"I got it, loud and clear," she said in low hard tone. She looked at him like she was ready to fight and she wanted to give a hand. "Then what the f*ck are you doing here? Do you want me to tell your friends that you came over? You were protecting your image, your highness so leave now before any of this lower class village see you and laugh at you to have a lower class blood running in your veins."
And with that, Kean immediately disappeared. How dare he to talk to her like that, he don't deserve to be treated like a son by her mother who only loves him from afar. Her mom was always checking on him secretly to make sure that she was updated with him.
"Amara?"
She went back to her senses when she heard her mom's voice calling her name. She immediately motioned her hand to release water for their plants. Their vegetables are growing healthy and it will make sure to make a lot of foods for tge next town. Her mom's pure heart is helping this plants to grow healthier.
How can she be this pure?
"Hi mom? I'm here in the garden, I'm watering the plants," she yelled from there.
"Let's have breakfast together, Amara before you go to the Holy University," she heard her mom. She put her hand down and collect many water in one force to give them the rain of it before leaving the place having a rain on it's own.
"Coming mom," she yelled back. She scanned her eyes around the place and had a deep breath. She couldn't imagine that Kean would come here and talk to her only to give her another impression of kicking him out.
She don't know what happened to him or was he really like that? She just believe in that he was a good Holiester because he was her brother and she was blinded with the fact that her brother is a worst Holiester. How can he even spill such words in his own mouth, insulting his mother just to save his own ass from the childish of a friend he had?
"You have to leave that ball here," she heard her mom said the moment she sat down in the chair in front of her mother. She looked at her and nodded. She was thinking that.
"Yes mom. I was also thinking the same thing. I mean, I don't know what's with that thing and I want to search in the Holy University's library if I can see anything about that. You see, it has powers, it also attracted an ability from a Holiester. Though, it didn't work on you but it did work on me," Amara eriously said and she was also seriously listening to her and she nodded.
"How are you doing in the Holy University?"
She stopped chewing the food she had in her mouth when she heard such question from her mother. Knowing that her mother was so careful about her even if it didn't show anything and never cling unto her. She looked at her mom's eyes and she met the curious look of her mom. She gulped.
"I was doing well, mom. Gillian and I, we managed to get into the rank of battle," she awkwardly said but her mom smiled so widely. She was surprised upon hearing her words.
She didn't tell anything that happened to her and her best friend inside the Holy University and this was the first time that she gave any information about her in there. Her mom was contented with her going home with no scratches in her body, unlike the other class 2 Holiesters like them that got so much pain in the Holy University. Those who chose to stay in the dorm and that was also their reason why she and Gillian won't want to stay in there.
"Really?" Her mom was excited however, changes into a sad face eventually. "But, that's dangerous, Amara. The class 1 and the royals will never happy about that. They would never allow a class 2 to step up ahead of them."
Amara already know that, she knows what these royals are going to do they're going to make her life like living in hell, they were predictable that they're planning something. The only thing that she wonders was that, she wouldn't know what exactly these royalties are going to do with them. She is certain that they won't leave her and Gillian alone the first time they saw their name in the bulletin.
It even surprised them that they still had a chance to live a peaceful life in Holy University but now, it's seems to be changing. Hailey is giving her a hint of her coming peace of life. She hates attention but she guess she will be getting it by today.
"I know mom, but you have nothing to worry about me. I can take care of myself plus I am not doing anything wrong, so they have no reasons to get unto me," she said trying to make her mom comfortable with the thought of her being a part of the battle rank 10.
"I'm sorry."
Her forehead knotted and her eyes narrowed when all of a sudden, she heard her mom said sorry. What was she even sorry for?
"I'm sorry because you are a daughter of a class 2 mother. You are strong, Amara and I know that you can take care of yourself. You practiced a lot and that I know you knew how strong you can be. But always remember that when it comes to the battle between us lower classes and the royals, we never win. Why? Because they were the rules and nobody would want to go against them," she was carefully listening to her mother.
They never had such kind of talk, they were roasting each other like best friends but they never had a heart to heart talk like this. She wonder what kind of pain Kean words about her would make but she knew it will break her mother's heart.
And if Kean would heartlessly say those words in a place where her mom was there just to save his own pride of an ass, she won't hesitate to kill him even if he is part of the royals. Damn them who are only hungry with power.
"Mom, why are you sorry? If being a class 2 means living a life with love and peace then I would always choose to be a class 2. I know that our life is not luxurious as the class 1 and royalties but we are much happier than some of them so I don't think I should be sad about being a daughter of a class 2. I got the mother with a pure heart, that's all that matters," she said that made her mom smiled but the crystal of it's eyes was caught.
She stood up from her seat and hugged her mom from behind when she saw how the tears of her mom's eyes twinkle like a star.
"I am so proud of you, I am so proud being your mom, Amara."
Amara smiled awkwardly as the scene of Kean flashbacks in her mind. How can he even had the guts to disrespect this pure of a heart? Her heart heaved because of that, it's been days but it would never leave her mind for whenever she see her mom and see how pure of a heart her mom has, the words from his own brother repeatedly coming back in her ears. She kept hearing it.
"I am your daughter mom, that is why I grew up stronger because I know how hard is it for you to take care of me. To stand as my mother and to do the responsible of my father. You are my inspiration, mom. So please stay strong and stay healthy I would never lost myself. You are the only one that can bring me down mom," she dramatically expressed her love to her mother thinking that this might be the last time she would have this kind of heart to heart talk with her mother.
Her mother was about to speak when they heard Gillian's voice behind their door. Her mom chuckled a little and stood up bringing her own plate to put it in the sink.
"I guess that's Gillian, you should ask her to have breakfast," she heard her mom when she was walking towards the door. She knew it was Gillian, the could recognize Gillian even if her best friend was only breathing. She would never missed to say that it was really Gillian.
"We're having breakfast, come on, join us," she said the moment she opened the door and meet the smiling face of her best friend.
"I have already had my breakfast. Grandma woke up so early to try Aunt's Juliet recipe, she was practicing my proper breakfast meal," Gillian said pouting like it was telling her something really bad that happened.
"She tried my recipe? She came here few days ago and asked me to teach her the recipe of the food I brought in your house. I am so glad you both liked it," her mom butt in that made her and Gillian turned their head to see her mother who sounds like smiling so proud and she was right because it was.
"Grandma can cook really good, Aunt Juliet but her first try of doing your recipe was my breakfast. I couldn't tell her that it has lots of salt and sugar that I couldn't explain what it tastes. I just told them she did great," Gillian tells a story that made her and her mom laughed.
"That only means that you have to be friend with the kitchen, Gillian. Grandma was never a bad cook and I think she did that intentionally for you to learn how to cook atleast your favorite dish," Amara said that made best friend pout.
"I can ---"
"Boil a water, I know. Come on, have some. I promise you that mom's cooked food won't disappoint your morning," she cut in Gillians sentence that made her getting a death glare that seems to be sharp as dagger from her best friends eyes.
"I'm so really full. Grandma told me to finish all she prepared because I said it was great and I had no choice but to chew and shallow them. I immediately went to the comfort room to deliver it right after I shallow the last spoonful of meal," Gillian vulgary said even if she knew that Amara was kind off sensitive with such kind of words when she's eating.
"I want to forgive you because we are having a nice conversation, however my appetit says don't. I want to kill you," she sharply said that made Gillian smirked and raised a brow.
Gillian was never her enemy and they've been friends for so years now. They were best friends since in they were kids.
