Chapter 13: It didn’t take long for the salt water to waterlog Helena’s body. Combined with the fact she swallowed too much of it while she struggled to swim made her nauseated and tired. The headache refused to leave her, and with each stroke in the gentle waves of the Mediterranean Sea, her body chills grew worse. In the dark, she could no longer make out the shore.
