Chapter 2 (Part 2)

All in all we had a splendid time at the Crystal Blue Falls.

Well except for the part I almost died.

"I can't believe you! I can't leave you alone for more than half an hour!" Tim yelled from beside me. We were already on our way back.

Okay maybe I deserved the scolding this time. But hey it wasn't exactly my fault! I didn't ask for my foot to get stuck between rocks! Under the gushing waterfall!

"Imagine you on this trip alone! You wouldn't have returned to Red Kingdom!" The brat threw his hands up in exasperation.

"Okay, okay I get it. I need to more careful."

"Careful? You need common sense as well."

"Hey!"

"What?!"

I kept quiet after that. What could I say? He was right. But I'll never admit that with words. He still had an angry look on his face so that meant he wasn't reading my mind. I knew he doesn't do it anyway. Tim only reads my mind when he absolutely needs to.

"Are you going to be like this the entire trip back?" I asked raising my brow.

"What if I am?"

I rolled my eyes and concentrated on the road ahead. I'll give him ten more minutes to be angry and sulk.

And then I began to get impatient as he took more than ten minutes. He took nearly an hour.

"Tim!! Watch out!! A pregnant dragon!!!"

I yelled at the top of my voice, making it sound genuinely panicky. The little brat jumped in his seat and shriveled around in a blur. He was so ready to attack anything that came into his line of vision.

His shocked yet determined expression slowly turned into an annoyed one when he heard my gut wrenching laughter.

I tried to stop after a while but I just couldn't. His stupid face was priceless.

"I.....I...wish I had a phone." I wheezed out.

Tim's glare only intensified as I continued laughing my lungs out.

"Okay....I'll stop now." I took a deep breath but it only made it worse. I laughed even more.

"I really wonder how we're still friends." He grumbled and looked away.

My laughter slowly died down after a while. I still couldn't believe the he fell for that.

"Oh you know you need me." I said confidently.

"Not as much as you need me. If you didn't have me, you'd be dead a long time ago." I sneered at him but didn't say anything further.

Sadly, our eventful trip soon came to an end. We were already near Red Kingdom Village.

"We have two days off right?"

"I hope so."

"What do you mean?!"

"Yes, yes. We do. What will you do anyway?"

"Sleep, eat, sleep, poop. Then eat again and then poop again and then finally sleep. I'll keep myself occupied." Tim raised a brow at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You're such a weirdo."

"Am not! That's how a lot of people spend their days off!"

"Really?"

"Yes! Ask around." I waved my hands around. I was so deeply rooted in the conversation that I let the reigns go.

"I bet nobody does it."

"Like I said, ask around if you don't believe me you spoilt brat! We all don't have your healthcare and spa privileges." I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Hey! Why are your arms not on the reigns human?!"

"Ahhhhh, stop!" We both heard a scream.

"f**k!" I quickly got hold of the reigns and stopped my carriage but not before we heard a loud thud.

"Why can't you watch where you're going?!" I heard a feminine voice. "My fruits and vegetables." She muttered the last part. I looked over Sorin and Selene to see a young woman bending down to take her groceries which had fallen to the ground.

"Thank goodness you didn't kill her." Tim mumbled. I scoffed at him and quickly jumped down to help the woman.

"Hey miss?"

"Don't bother!" She said angrily and continued to put the last of her fruits into her basket. She hadn't seen me yet. She was facing the ground. "Next time, just keep your eyes on the road. You could have injured someone." She stood up, immediately fixing her messy blonde hair. Then she adjusted her light yellow dress. Her back was still facing me but I could see that her shoulders were tensed. That was how I knew she was pissed and she could just slap me if she wanted to.

Unfortunately, I was right. Her anger had not subsided yet.

"What if you hit an innocent little child?! What if....." She words got stuck in her throat as she slowly turned around and faced me. She looked me up and down with her big grey eyes and pink cheeks. All of a sudden the strong willed woman was replaced with a very nervous one.

Now it seemed like she had made a mistake.

She then stepped forward, clearing her throat. "I'm....I'm sorry sir. I didn't know you were a-"

"Sir?"

Oh right.

The villagers don't really mess with anyone who works in the castle. The ones with a paid job of course. They fear people with uniforms. It makes them extra cautious. We are usually treated with a lot of respect so I understood why she was suddenly nervous. I could simply rat her out to a guard and she could be punished.

"Yes. Sir. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'll be on my way now." She said nervously. The more she spoke the more I observed her. She was very young. Not even in her twenties, I thought to myself.

"Wait!" I stopped her. She swiftly turned around, making her long blonde hair beautiful flowed as she moved. Once again she looked at me with those pretty grey eyes.

Whoa she was beautiful.

"Yes sir?" She politely asked. I knew damn well she was forcing herself to speak like this. Her tone was so fake that it almost made me laugh.

"You know you were right. Why did you apologize? I should have kept my eyes on the road and yes I could have seriously hurt someone. I'm sorry about your things and I'm sorry if hit you." She looked at me for a very long time then she looked at my horses.

"You didn't hit me that badly." She mumbled. "And apology accepted." She looked at me and gave me a tight smile. I smiled at her too. Then she slowly turned around and walked away.

"Did you see her?" I excitedly asked Tim and I drove the carriage towards the castle.

"Yes human. She was right there." Tim looked at me with a curious expression.

"She was freaking beautiful. Did you see the way she yelled at me?" I sighed to myself.

"Uh huh."

"I don't even know her name. I have to find her again Tim."

"Sure. That's what we'll do. Because she yelled at you."
