Her phone was vibrating on the bed. It had been vibrating for the past one hour. Chloe knew exactly who was calling her, so didn’t have to check it to know she didn’t want to pick the call.
However, no matter how determined she was to ignore it, the persistent vibrations dragged her focus away from her notes on corporate law. Which was a very bad thing. She was already balancing on the edge with Professor Simms. She couldn’t afford to fail his class. The notes hence demanded her full attention.
Finally, the phone stopped when she didn’t pick up the call, but only to vibrate at another tune, indicating she had a text message. Curiosity got the better of her. Chloe set her notes aside and reached for her phone.
