The stand-off lasted almost a whole two minutes before Jaxson finally told her to enter his office in a voice cold enough to freeze hellfire.  Chloe wasn’t sure whether or not to be relieved. There was an air of anger radiating from him in waves. His eyes told her he would rather have her thrown out of his building through his twenty-store top window than talk to her. When she entered his office, she stood just inside the door, unsure of what to do next. Her eyes took in the large room that could have fit her college room three times and still have space left for a little dance floor.
