The Heart of The Pack

Amara pov

After hearing Becca say she was happy to have me as a Luna, my nerves vanished and I couldn’t help but be excited for tonight. I’m wearing a dark green silk dress that fits perfectly around my body without being tight anywhere. It has a very high scandalous thigh slit and it has a few loose pieces that hang along the breast line, showing some cleavage and thin straps over the shoulders and across my back. I walk out of the closet and see alexander in an amazingly fitted black Armani suit, with a green tie to match my dress. He is completely handsome and I almost start drooling and Ashley is wearing a tight black dress with sheer sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Her thigh slit is just as scandalous as mine, they both look stunning, noticing now Alexander’s suit matches us both. He runs his hands through his hair giving his black hair a sexy tousled look, and I can’t help but bite my lips.

‘Lets stay here and mate, they look so good’ Arabella says.

‘We can’t, we have to be apart of the pack, if we want them to accept us’ I tell her.

“how am I supposed to focus on this party with you both looking so edible?” he sighs frustrated.

“The same way we have to babe, I think I speak for Amara and I when I say, we are all going to have a hard time focusing. But we are the leaders of this pack, we have to attend” Ashley’s eyes wonder over me and I see them turn black. Clearly her and her wolf both want me, but she is right we will all have to focus tonight.

“Can’t we just stay up here so I can rip both those dresses of you? I’m not sure how long I will last out there, seeing other wolves eye my beautiful lunas.” Alexander growls out.

‘Yes mate knows what we want’ Arabella agrees with Alexander.

“my wolf wants to stay here and mate” I admit, and their eyes both go black, their wolves present. “but I agree with Ashley, we need to participate tonight. I am also looking forward to running with you both in our wolf forms,” I can feel Arabella perk up at my words and the smiles on Ashley and Alexander’s face tell me, their wolves want it too.

Alexander approaches me his eyes still black and raking over my body, making me shiver. His hand laces through the back of my hair and drags my lips to his roughly. When he pulls back, his eyes still belong to his wolf. “you are stunning and I can’t wait to see Arabella, I bet she’s just as beautiful as you” I grin at him unaware he knew her name, but suddenly looking in his eyes I knew his too.

“Thankyou Alexi, and I bet you look just as sexy as Alexander does,” Arabella says taking over. Ashley walks over to us her wolf present too, and I can feel her wolf’s name is Ally. Her presence isn’t as dominating as Alexi’s, but she feels just as strong willed as he does. She cups my face taking her turn to kiss me and just like Alexi’s it’s rough and primal, but her hands stay gentle. Pulling back Arabella wants Ally’s attention, “I love that dress on you, but I’d rather see you without it, you’re gorgeous.”

Ally purrs and rubs her nose on mine, “mmm and you’re so desirable, my little seductress”

“Time to go pups” Mel comes in saying, when she sees our wolves in our eyes. Alexi lowly growls while ally and Arabella giggle, eventually as we all walk out, our wolves give us back control. The party is in full swing barbecues roasting meat, people dancing and many mingling around the edges.

“Promise to stay by either our sides or mums all night baby.” Alexander whispers and I feel goosebumps rise on my skin, my body on edge knowing what’s going to happen soon. I nod to him, feeling Arabella roll around bearing her belly and wanting her mates.

I Becca runs over to us with her mate , introducing us all and he has a knowing look in his eyes as he bows to me. There’s no secrets between mates, but Alexander trusted they would stay quiet until the announcement later. I stand between Becca and Mel, when Alexander and Ashley take the stage.

“As always the night of the full moon is special to us, tonight we gather to honour our moon goddess, Selene. Just before the moon reaches it’s peak we will have our pack run, as we do each full moon. To thank the moon goddess for not only gifting us with our wolves but also our fated mates. After the run we have an exciting announcement for you all and we hope you can share in our joy. Until then everyone have fun and remember tonight is a night of celebration and honour, in the name of our moon goddess.” Everyone cheers at Alexander’s speech and they both descend the stage. They head in my direction and I can’t help but feel the anticipation of soon to be finally standing by their sides. This pack is so much bigger then I thought, I haven’t really left the pack house since I got here. Now I know that, I really should explore and get to know these lands and all the wolves on it. I get introduced to so many people throughout the night, its hard to keep track. But I kept my promise to Alexander if I wasn’t by his or Ashley’s side I was with Mel. I didn’t get to dance with them, but I know I will get my chance after the announcement. I suddenly hear someone yell it’s time and Arabella stands in my mind pacing and I suddenly feel nervous. We all run into the woods to shift, leaving our clothes at different trees. When Arabella takes over, I know she wants to chase our mates, but holds off to follow the rules of the pack run. I don’t see them as they lead the pack, but I run with Mel and her wolf.

After about 20 minutes I hear a defining howl, that I know came from Alexi and we all howl to the moon goddess together. Now is when all other wolves start breaking off from the pack, to run with their mates, Mel nudges me to run off and I do. Running away I wonder if Alexi and ally are going to find me, I slow down sniffing to pick up their scents. I feel two presences behind me and as the wind changes direction I scent them and I feel them both growl in the dark. Realising I’m now their prey, I take off sprinting to the far side of the pack, going around the pack grounds. Just when I though I lost them I feel Alexi nip at my tail, I run harder getting away triumphantly. But my success doesn’t last long when Ally jumps out in front of me, she must have cut through the pack grounds. As I slow to a halt, Alexi stops behind me and they both circle me sniffing and nipping at my fur. Suddenly Ally jumps me and we tumble to the ground and Alexi jumps on us both, we all roll around in the dirt nipping and playing with each other.

Ally runs off and Alexi nudges me to follow, we all run together when I watch Ally’s cute behind jump and land in a lake. She shifts once she hits the water returning back to Ashley and I follow her shifting too. We wash off the mud and dirt from when we played and I watch Alexi come back with clothes from a nearby tree. In this form I can truly admire the size of his wolf, his black fur to match his hair just like Ashley’s matches her hair and mine the strawberry blonde I inherited

Alexi’s alpha aura oozing, makes my skin tingle and I feel Arabella waging her tail at him. Ashley and I get out and dress in the shirts Alexi brought us, while he jumps into the water shifting. Ashley leads me to the side and we sit together on a rock watching him wash. I reach out to hold Ashley’s hand, she gives me a big smile and my heart flutters in response. “I had fun running and playing with you” she says now combing my wet hair with her fingers.

“Me too I hope we get to do that more often,” I hum relaxing into her fingers.

“Oh we will, Alexi was purring the whole time.” Alexander says joining us on the rock, with shorts on but his chest bare. I sit between them, as we all watch the moon reach its peak. Alexander turns to me and places his hand high on my thigh, he moves my hair back and starts kissing my neck. I feel Ashley wrap her arm around my waist and start her own assault on the other side of my neck. I can’t help but moan when I feel both their fangs graze my skin, on the spot their marks will go.
