“HEALED MY—?” KRISTA raced to the bathroom to check her face in the mirror there. She couldn’t believe what she saw. Where before there had been an ugly dark red scratch that looked on the verge of infection, she saw only smooth, flawless skin. She walked back out to the living room and said in awe, “You—the scratch—it’s gone.” “Yes.” He had remained by the bookcase, looking off balance and unsure in this strange, new world that was surely so unlike his own. Krista slowly approached him, lifting her hands to the bandage on his brow. “May I?” He nodded. Carefully she removed the dressing, finding his skin perfect and unmarred where the gash had been. She was left speechless. What other powers did this man possess? With a slightly trembling hand, Krista touched the scar on her left cheek
