Just a dream? Part One

Alley POV   As we arrived, I took in the size of his house, it  seemed a little much for just one person. As if reading my mind he spoke, "This is our house, my beta and delta live here with me so we don't have to go far to find each other should anything happen". "It is a beautiful house. So has it been like a bachelor pad for you boys or have they already met their mates?" I regretted phrasing it that way as my mind wondered if any other female lived in this house with Stephen. Noticing the sour look on my face he replied, "Nothing like a bachelor pad and no they haven't met their mates. Just to be clear I have never brought a woman here". As little as it did to settle my mind, I seemed somewhat more relaxed, taking in the appearance of the house.       It was a two story house with large white pillars in front, the house itself was a white/beige color which I thought was antique-looking making the house all the more beautiful. Not too many colors overlapping to become an eyesore. On arrival I noticed some men standing out front, as we stepped out of the vehicle two men stepped forward. "Alex, Brandon this is Alley, my mate and your Luna". Both men turned to look at me introducing themselves, "I'm this guy’s beta I am sure you will be the Luna we need, after all, I saw how you fought the rogues with your guards." Alex said with a smirk. Saw? Was he one of the wolves I didn't recognize?  "It's rare that a Luna stands to fight, most don't know how to, I'm impressed. By the way, I'm the delta". Brandon said.     Both men were equally tall, although Alex had more muscle than Brandon, which was expected since he was the beta, Alex had blonde hair and sky blue eyes while Brandon had jet black hair and dark brown eyes, they all looked completely different.        I turned to both men with a smile, "It's nice to meet you both and thanks, I guess. I trained hard growing up, nothing is more important than protecting the pack". As they stepped inside I saw a small group of people standing around, as if sensing our arrival the group turned to look at us. A woman with blonde hair and green eyes walked straight to Stephen and wrapped her arm around him. I immediately tensed at the sight of her being over friendly, "Stephy I’m so glad you’re back, maybe now we go on that date we discussed?" Before Stephen could respond I let out a vicious growl, struggling to keep Rose at bay, she was snapping to come out and rip her arms off, "If you want to see another day get your hands off my mate". I said through gritted teeth. The blonde turned to look at me with wide eyes and back to Stephen who had removed her arm from him.        "I have told you before Bethany, I have no interest in you whatsoever, do not touch me again". Stephen said looking at me, he walked over to me and engulfed me in a hug. I was shaking, barely containing Rose, I took in his scent to calm us. As I stepped out of his embrace I looked directly at Bethany. "Whatever you two had in the past will stay there, don't try to be the other woman, if I catch you touching him or if you try to seduce him I will personally take you out in the field and kick your ass. Clear?" Staring at a wide eyed Bethany who quickly regained her composure "I didn't mean any disrespect, I didn't know he had found his mate." She said with a sly smile before adding "Even with you around, I wouldn't mind challenging you when you are ready of course." Bethany finished with an evil smirk. Everyone held their breath as I walked over to stand right in front of Bethany. I raised my hand and slapped her clear across the face, hard enough to knock her to the ground and busting her lip. "Remember that before you really want to try to challenge me b***h, get out of my sight."        Bethany got off the ground quickly only to stomp out of the house followed by her friends. As if nothing happened I turned to the boys, "So is someone going to give me a tour or does anyone have something to say?" Both Alex and Brandon burst out laughing and received a chuckle from Stephen. "Come on my little spitfire, let me show you around before we eat." I took in how little the house had in the way of decor, mainly all photos of all the boys with their parents and what I assumed were siblings. By the time we reached the dining room I was starving, we were served steaks with baked potatoes. "I've never seen anyone stand up to Bethany, she’s one of our best female fighters." Alex said. "I look forward to training with her then, maybe I can teach her some manners." Everyone started laughing while they finished their dinner and eventually turned in for the night.       I turned to Stephen who was preparing to sleep on the sofa on the opposite side of the room. "What are you doing over there?" I asked. "I don't want to rush you into anything you are not ready for Princess, I don't mind sleeping on the couch." He replied. "I will not put you out of your own bed, come sleep." That was all it took for Stephen to climb into bed next to me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me against him. He kissed my forehead and whispered, "Goodnight Alley". I fell into a deep sleep next to my mate.        When I opened my eyes, I wasn't in bed, I looked around to see that I was in the forest. How did I get here? Did I sleepwalk? Surely not, I've never done that before. The ground looked wet and a fog had set in, I couldn't really see anything. I wanted to walk and find my way back home but my body wouldn't move. I saw something in the distance, a shadowy figure walking towards me. "Hello?" I shouted. The figure didn't look at me, only kept walking to me. "Can you tell me where I am? Or how I got here?" Nothing. "Can you hear me?!" I screamed, but still nothing. I was getting frustrated that my own body wouldn't listen to me. When I looked down I couldn't even see past my knees! Where did all this fog come from? What was going on? As the figure got closer I noticed it was a man. He didn't seem like a threat but I couldn't make out any of his features at all.           The man walked towards me, staring at me intently. "May I help you?" I asked. He raised his hand, only for fire to appear. I looked closer, it almost looked like the fire was dancing? That’s not possible, I thought. It didn't even touch his skin. That was weird. How could someone hold fire but not get burned? As the man walked towards me, I tried to take a step back, but couldn't move my legs, my body still wouldn't move. I looked down again to see that the fog had cleared and now I could see that roots had wrapped themselves around my feet, ankles and legs. I could feel my panic growing, anxiety heavy in my chest, looking at the man walking to me. I started pulling at the roots trying to get them off me but no matter how hard I pulled they wouldn't budge. Where the hell is Stephen?! Or Rose for that matter! My eyes were snapping back and forth between the man and the roots. "wha-what do you want?" I said shakily. The man raised his hand and I watched as the fire traveled from his hand to mine. The fire not only touched me but surrounded me. "They seem to like you," he said. I looked at him and noticed that he had red eyes, his eyes matched the fire. They burned bright red with a hint of yellow in the middle. "What are you?" I asked, careful not to move too much as I didn't want to touch the fire and burn myself. "You will find out soon enough Angarika" Angarika? Who the hell is that? When the man stepped away from me, I watched as the fire slowly backed away from me. Why did they look like that? The man didn't tell me his name or who Angarika was. Maybe he had me confused with someone else. The man never turned back,   the fire started to disappear with him and I jerked awake, sitting up in bed, breathless.        Stephen sat up, immediately scanning the room only to turn to me and ask "What's the matter Princess?" When I didn't respond he sat in front of me. "Alley, talk to me, your heart is racing. Did you have a bad dream?" I couldn't say a word because I didn't know what to say. I nodded, knowing my eyes were wide. Once I calmed down and got my breathing under control I reached out to hug him. Letting his scent engulf me to calm me "I'm okay I think it was just a bad dream". Stephen went to get me some water, bringing it back, he quietly sat in front of me while I drank it. Once I had finished and put the glass down on the nightstand, I looked over at Stephen who cupped his hands around my face and smashed his lips against mine. It took me by surprise, but I didn't try to move away, I let him kiss me before he pulled away. "Let's lie down again and get some more sleep, shall we?" Even though I wanted more kisses, I didn't argue as I was exhausted. I rested my head on his chest, listening to his heart beat as I fell back into a deep sleep..
