“Dad! Daddy! Wake up please!” Alyssa`s little desperate pleas continued with tears now smudged everywhere on her little face.
Her mother quickly held her, restraining her little form from running over to her dead father.
Although tears had now started flowing on her own face too for her dead husband, Hannah stared at the door with great hatred instead. For standing there was the one who had fired the shot.
Even Alyssa quickly quietened in fear upon noticing the scary figure by the door and stopped struggling in her mother`s arms.
A man dressed in black. Pure evil emanating in waves from him while hiding his true face in the darkness. A black pistol in his hand. His gaze now filled with bloodlust as he stared at the pool of blood gathering on the floor where Alyssa`s father had just died.
While the Vampire was now busily distracted by the blood, Hannah did not hesitate to take the secret vampire hunter stake hidden under her daughters’ bed.
Channeling into her grief and rage she quickly used that as her strength. This was as she rushed while holding the wooden stake, spearing it into the vampire`s chest, piercing right at the heart. This quickly made the monster fall to the ground in shock.
She was a mother and would do anything to protect her daughter.
“Mom! Mom! I'm scared. What is happening,” Alyssa muffled sobs sounded as she asked out in panic, while still sitting on the bed.
Hannah instead decided to think and act quickly, knowing there was no time. More were coming with some already in the house. Screams of their live-in Maid Livy were already sounding in the air. Meaning the Vampires had got to her too.
Once done feasting they were surely coming to search here like this one had done and found them.
After rushing to lock the bedroom door, she first took the gun from the dead vampire. It hurt touching the same weapon which had just been used to shoot the love of her life. But it was the only defense she had.
Walking to her husband`s dead and lifeless form, she first used her hand to close his eyes wishing for him to rest in peace. She continued to hold closely the amulet in her hand,
Hannah then took the bedside table next and used it to slam against her daughter`s bedroom window which led to their back yard.
The glass easily breaking into bits and pieces.
She quickly picked up her daughter Alyssa and helped her little form climb over the small window until she was safely on the other side.
“Mom, why are you not climbing too.” Alyssa`s little voice cracked while letting out hiccups from all the crying she had been doing.
“Mommy has to deal with the bad Vampires still in the house so they don’t come after you,” Hannah said in reply with her own tears continuing to flow as she stared at her daughter`s innocent brown eyes.
“But Mommy what if they kill you too as they did to Dad.” Alyssa quickly replied back, letting out sniffles and her small form still shaking in fear.
“Always remember that you mean so much to both me and your father. I love you and will always do so.” Hannah first replied while caressing her daughter’s cheek through the window and placing a lingering motherly kiss on her forehead.
She then lifted up the golden sun pendant and placed it on to her daughters’ little neck. Where it rightfully belonged on its true guardian.
“Never take this off. Keep it with you and guard it always. A special gift from me.”
It was then Hannah heard them coming, their dark footsteps nearing the door.
“Now I need you to run…run for me my little Alyssa and do not turn back until you reach the police station at the end of the street,” Hannah shouted with urgency filling her voice as she held the gun tightly.
“GO! Mommy will catch up so do not turn back.” She added lying through her teeth after seeing her little daughter hesitating.
That was the final push she needed, as little Alyssa quickly turned and started running.
“Keep her safe no matter what,” Hannah whispered out to no one. A bright gold light quickly left the Apple tree next to the window and followed after little Alyssa as if obeying a command.
After breathing a sigh of relief at seeing her daughter disappearing further and further away from the danger, Hannah quickly turned back to the sound of the bedroom door being blasted off the hinges by the monsters.
Aiming the gun, Hannah started shooting at the horde of incoming Vampires with only thoughts of Alyssa`s safety on her mind. Tears flowed down the grieving mother`s face for she knew she would not survive this…
But little Alyssa had not done what her mother had said. She knew when her mother was lying.
So, after running for only a short distance she instead stopped, her little legs tired and turned around deciding to still wait there for her mother.
But instead, she was left to watch everything through the clear broken glass window from afar. This was as the Vampires overtook her mother Hannah once she was out of bullets.
Little Alyssa was left to stare helplessly as the Vampire with flashing dark crimson red eyes, a black tattoo on his hand, let out his fangs and pierced them deep into her mothers’ neck.
Draining her dry until her body and honey-colored brown eyes were totally lifeless.

“Mom nooooooo!” I found myself screaming out and hearing the pained sound of my voice echo all around.
It felt as if the air was being taken so abruptly out of my lungs as pain and grief so deep overwhelmed me.
But in the distance, I then started hearing laughing and mocking voices in the background.
“Alyssa! Miss Von Blaze WAKE UP this instant!” I heard a loud yell.
I then felt someone shaking me, hitting my arm, and bringing me back to reality from dreamland. Opening my sleepy blurry eyes, I rubbed them with my hands while wiping off some tears too from my face. It seemed I had also been crying in my sleep.
I almost let out a frustrated sigh as I realized that I was not in my bedroom, instead I was in class and in the wrong class with the worst teacher ever. Mrs. Rhema.
It seemed I had just left one horrible childhood dream memory and entered into another nightmare. This one was way worse, for it was a reality one. The Kind which I could not wake up from and had to presently live through…Highschool.
