"@RandomThoughts: Not all goodbyes are sad. Example: "Goodbye class". >>>>>>>> “Principal Wilson this girl is out of CONTROL! I do not want her in my CLASS. In fact, she should just be suspended.” I almost let out a yawn while sitting on the chair next to Mrs. Rhema. This was as she stated complaints upon complaints about me.  I had heard this many times especially as a child being transferred from foster home to foster home. It was nothing new, that I just became numb to it. Even when I tried to be good, no one cared or noticed. They only saw the bad parts. Like right now with Mrs. Rhema, she did not care that I was the top student in her class. How even though I came feeling sleepy to classes, I always completed whatever homework or assignments I got. She did not care just like everyone else. Even when I got A grades, she would just give me a suspicion filled look. One letting me know how she thought I was definitely cheating when I did truly study. But when it was other students, they got high fives and praise for passing. Still, though I knew the real truth. She was one of the teachers who secretly followed Tiffany`s high school shade website page, The Scoop, and already had perceived notions of who I was. Plus it did not help that she was Tiffany`s godmother. Bestfriends and very close to Tiffany`s parents. “Mrs. Rhema, I have heard your grievances. But the year is almost over and so I cannot suspend Alyssa when she is one of our top students. Plus no one was physically harmed.” As Principle Wilson replied that, a smile quickly came on to my face. It's why this shiny bald-headed man was one of my favorite people in this hell of a school. Even if he favored me for the wrong reasons, like my uncle being one of the biggest donors to the school. And yes, my uncle was filthy rich. Something about Von Blaze's wealth inherited through generations. I was told too that I would inherit my father`s share which he left once I turned eighteen. So, there was really no reason for me to even be here attending high school. But I did it for my father Ben, being a professor, he was passionate about education and getting knowledge. It was my way of honoring him. And this was the exact school which he attended when he was a teenager with my uncle.  It made me feel closer to his memory. “But Mr. Wilson! You cannot just let her get away with this! She threatened a student with a KNIFE???” Mrs. Rhema continued shouting even looking like her eyeballs were going to bulge out of their sockets. “Yes Mrs. Rhema, I never said that she would not be punished. I’m giving her a whole month of DETENTION starting tomorrow. And every day she will go through mandatory weapon search at the school gate by the gate guard.” As Principle Wilson said this, I stayed quiet and voiced no objections. It was better than being suspended. I actually enjoyed detention. No annoying classmates to bother me. Plus I could study and finish all my school work in peace with no distractions. As for being searched, I guess I could live with not bringing my vampire hunting weapons to school. I had other ways to kill vampires if they found me here. But Mrs. Rhema was not satisfied and I could see that she had wanted me to get more punishment. That woman was insatiable.  Principle Wilson knowing her, immediately pretended to be taking a call. This allowed him to politely dismiss us and have us leave the office. I instead headed for my locker, while Teacher Rhema headed for her class with an angry huff. The bell had rung meaning my class with her was over. “Hello, Miss I was caught sleeping in class.” A smile quickly came on to my face while closing my locker. I then turned around so that I could stare at the only friend I had in this school. Her name was Emma.  She was an outcast too like me. But it was for being a nerd and her appearance. Her geeky glasses, the way she dressed, and the old 80s hairstyles she liked having. Tiffany’s favorite mocking nickname for Emma was ugly betty. But I actually liked Emma for it. For being herself and not caring what people thought nor trying to follow what others considered cool. She was also the only one who never listened to Tiffany’s lies and had continued being my friend. She was the only friend I needed. I was right about the whole school now knowing about everything that had happened in class. As everyone was on their phone and throwing me glances. “It is, not my fault that I had a late-night,” I replied Emma back while placing my arm around her shoulder as we walked headed to the library before going home.  As we passed through the hallway, we had to pass by Tiffany and her crew the so-called popular kids. They were now taking their changing clothes from their lockers for Cheerleading and Football practices.  "The Freak and Ugly betty." mocking laughter immediately followed her statement. But both me and Emma now used to it, we ignored them and walked away. Emma was my after school studying buddy but sadly there where some classes which I did not have with her. Like the one with evil teacher Rhema.  “You went out hunting again didn’t you,” Emma immediately said with a whisper so no one would hear as we reached the empty library. She was also the only one who believed me and knew about my vampire hunting hobby. “Yes, last night was hectic than usual,” I said in reply to her with a frown.  I had killed two bloodsuckers last night and the unusual thing was how many of them seemed to be coming to this little town, the number was increasing more than usual. Entering the library, it was only us as always. This was our spot as everyone preferred hanging at the school grounds. The library was considered any uncool place. But both me and Emma loved the peace and quiet. We were even close friends with the library lady Getty. A sassy and grumpy old woman who was only nice to us. Emma quickly rushed to take out some Vampire Myths books and handed me one to read too. Ever since learning they existed, she had been curious. I only read them so I could find out more about those bloodsuckers' weaknesses. While she read her own novel, I placed mine into my bag and would read later. I instead started studying and finishing up on school work for I was going out hunting again tonight.
