CHAPTER EIGHT She had come to terms with the fact that a trip to Richmond would compromise the rest of her day. She knew the trips she was taking were necessary, but she couldn’t help but feel that her time in the car would have been much better utilized out in the field, actually investigating. Wanting to make the best use of her time, she placed a call to the Braille library in Richmond, letting them know that she was coming and that she’d like to speak with a supervisor or manager when she arrived. Other than the driving, there was nothing else she could do. She was in Richmond at 2:49 that afternoon. Her shoulders and backside were sore and tight from all the hurried driving.
