12 CUSTODY SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA Later That Day “Leticia, can you get me a cup of earl grey tea? I really need to clear my throat. It’s so sore,” Loretta, Caitlin’s mother, declared as she brought her right hand to her mouth to cover her cough. “Please, Leticia.” “Yes, Mrs. Halverson,” the maid said as she walked towards the kitchen. Halfway there, Leticia turned around towards her employer. “Are you sure you don’t want a cough drop in the meantime. It will take fifteen, twenty minutes before the tea is ready?” Leticia knew that Mrs. Halverson preferred her tea brewed in a traditional, Victorian kettle rather than the automated Breville tea maker that her husband preferred.
