23 ARGUMENT TRIBAL LANDS The Next Day When Patricia woke up early the next day, she was still anxious from the previous day’s events. She was more concerned about her husband than herself. He was in pain the entire night. As she turned towards his side of the bed, it was empty. Thoughts of him seeking revenge against the ruffians who had attacked them filled her head. She quickly dismissed them so that she could remain positive despite the nagging feelings. Walking towards the living room, she earnestly looked for her husband. She was afraid to startle him. She walked to the kitchen, but he was not there.
