Serenity
I woke up in my bed the following morning feeling like I had gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson. Every single cell in my body ached from the exertion of the previous night. I hadn’t healed anyone in such a long time. My body was no longer familiar with the process. My back hurt and I still had lingering numbness in my legs from absorbing Xander’s injury. Luckily, Nessa was familiar with this part of the process. She fixed the majority of what had been broken. I would need to sit in the bath for a while to finish healing myself. I sat up slowly, the room spinning around me. Once I gathered my bearings, I tried to get to my feet. I immediately dropped to the floor.
