We walked into the great Hall and all the chatter went quiet. I felt all eyes turning in our direction. We kept walking to the raised platform. Once there, I look back to see Darius at my side, but just a little back, a show of respect from him and a show of force from us, he nods at me. We've gone over what I will say to explain the gathering without raising any suspicion and to try and keep it calm around the castle. I turned to look at my guards, my soldiers, my cooks, maids and cleaners. Vincent was at the front gathered with the soldiers, but in front of them, where Kristophe and him would both normally be, they were in charge of our army.
Kristophes non presence will be noticed another thing to explain I have to skate along the truth or a lie would be picked up on.
