Evelyn POV:

I couldn't believe what I read, my eyes teared up as I contained to read the paper. They can't do this to me, I thought they loved me. I finally read the last part and saw dad's signature on the end.

'No," I whispered, he took the paper and placed it on the table.

"See now you belong to me, your own parents sold you to me." He said, my eyes swelled up tears as I sobbed.

"You're lying," I croaked out, dad would never do this to me.

"Oh really your dad sold you for some money and you are saying that I am lying, he signed the papers." He growled, I flinched from his harsh tone.

"I am sorry, master." I sobbed he looked at me.

"Go now, complete your work." He said, I got of his lap and walked out of the room. I walked in the kitchen and started washing dishes, I wiped the tears away. Why would they do this to me? Didn't they love me?

"Why are you crying," I turned around to see a guy, I cleaned my hands and looked at him. Master told me not to talk to anyone.

"Nothing," I said as I walked out of the kitchen, I hoped he didn't follow me. I ran to the my room and sat on the couch.

Why me?

I looked around to see all the six beds empty, I sat on my bed and laid down. I wanted to die!!

Especially after what my parents did to me.They sold me to him, I had no one in this world.

I pulled the sheets on me and drifted to sleep.

"Evelyn," someone familiar tapped my shoulders, I turned around to see Aubrey. I immediately hugged her, at least she is here with me.

"Shush don't cry, let's go." She whispered as she pulled me pulled me out of the bed, I looked around to see everyone asleep.

"Were are we going," I said as I walked behind her, she held my hand and we both went out of the room.

"Running away," she whispered, I pulled my hand away.

"No, he said not to think about running away and even if I do, I have no where to go dad sold me to him." I whispered, she turned around and looked at me.

"He is lying, your dad would never to that. Rosie ran with some guy she messaged on my phone that your parents signed an empty paper which means he just added the text. It was fake, how could you believe your parents would do that." She said, he was lying. I don't like him anymore, he is bad.

"Now come let's go before anyone wakes up." She said as she walked further out of the castle. The cold breeze passed through my body, I shivered and ran to Aubery.

"But he told her would find me every time I run," I said.

"Nothing will happen believe me, now we go up the gates and run towards the forest." She whispered as she go ton the gates, she dropped down to the other side.

"Now, come do it." She whispered through the wall, I started climbing on the wooden gates. I gasped when my finger slit over the sharp piece, I fell on the grass with a thud. Aubrey pulled me up.

"He didn't do anything right?" She said.

"No, he just slapped me and pulled my hair couple of times and also he said he would rape me." I said as tear went down my cheeks.

"Aw evelyn, its all my fault I shouldn't have ever told you guys to come." She hugged me.

"Now let's run, before anyone see's us." She whispered as she took my hands.

We both started running towards the forest, branches scraped my foots because I didn't wore any shoes.

"Where will we go?" I asked Aubrey.

"We have to get out of his land and then we will to go the nearest patrol station Rosie will be there." She said she looked at her phone, my heart started beating faster what if he finds me.

He told me that it would be a miracle if I survived after his punishment.

"Here have this." Aubrey handed me a knife, what could I do with a knife.

"Okay," I whispered.

"Come let's go," she said as she started running, I went behind her.

It must have been 20 minutes we were running, all I could think about my parents. I took them so wrong, he lied to me.

"Ahhh," I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard Aubrey screaming, I went forward to see Aubrey, she stopped on her tracks.

I looked forward to see him with some more people.

"Tsk, tsk very bad. Didn't I told you not to run away." He said as he came to me, I immediately hid behind aubery.

"Don't come near," she pulled a knife out. How many knifes does she has?? Tears trickled down my face as I caught her arm tightly.

"Wow, haven't you learned a knife doesn't even kills a mice and me did you forget I am the king. I can't even bleed if you stab me hundred time." He said, in a second he snatched the knife away from her. I gasped and took a step back.

"Leave her alone, you can take me."

I can't believe she said that, why would she sacrifice herself for me.

"Are we playing hunger games, Nah now move or I will kill you In a second." He growled, I started to shiver from his voice.

"Look, please leave her alone. Let her go and I will take her place." Aubrey begged.

"Jake, take her to the chamber." He said and someone came from behind and chained her wrist.

She kept screaming but they took her away, I turned to my left to see her shadow going deep in the woods. I looked forward to see him near, I gasped and took a step back.

I screamed when his hand connected to my wet cheeks, I fell on the ground. My cheeks begin to sting, this slap was so hard enough to bleed my cheek.

I touched my face to see blood running down, I was pulled up by my hair. I could feel my roots burning from his grip, I came face to face with him.

"Just wait until we reach to the castle, then see what I will do to you." He whispered in my ear before dragging me by my hair.
