….Days before the wedding…. Zack was standing in front of a large window, his eyes looking at the raindrops dripping down the glass. He was wearing a sleek black suit, the cloth perfectly tailor-made for his frame. The weather outdoors was dreary, with a steady drizzle falling from the sky. The gray clouds hung low, casting a gloom over the metropolis. The door to the room opened, and Andrew walked in, a concerned look on his face. He glanced at Zack, who was nonetheless standing in the front of the window. "How are you keeping up?" he asked, his voice full of concern. "it's such a horrible day out of doors. Do you suspect you may be able to attend the event tonight?" Zack turned to have a look at Andrew, his expression unreadable. "I'm not certain," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I sense like i am in a daze. Like none of this is real." "Is Susan going to be at the event tonight?" Andrew asked, a worried look still on his face. Zack nodded slowly, and Andrew's expression turned grim. "She's not going to permit this move, you already know," he said. "She's not going to rest till she receives what she wants." Zack sighed, his shoulders slumping. "I know," he stated, "but I can not permit her to win. I need to combat for what's proper, irrespective of what the price." It turned into the night of the huge occasion, where the Elite Tech group and the Ariel Tech group could come together to speak about their plans for the future. The two businesses were competitors for years, but now they were prepared to put aside their differences and paintings collectively to make a difference in the world. There has been a lot at stake, and each group has been feeling the strain. The room changed into buzzing with pleasure and tension, as humans rushed round, getting the whole thing geared up. Zack took a deep breath and straightened his tie. "I'm ready," he stated, his voice regular and robust. "Let's do that." Andrew nodded and headed for the door. "The automobile can be prepared for you in a couple of minutes," he said. "I'll be there again in a short time to walk you out." As he left, Zack's eyes fell on an image on the wall, a framed picture of him and his mom, taken a few years ago. He stared at it for a moment, misplaced in thought. in the photograph, Zack and his mom were smiling, their palms around each other, their eyes shining with happiness. In the end, inside, in the modern-day, that happiness seemed like a far, off reminiscence. Zack’s mother had passed away several years ago, and he still missed her terribly. The photo was a bittersweet reminder of what he had lost. ….An hour later…. As Zack walked down the stairs, he noticed a group of burly men standing by the front door. He identified them as his bodyguards, there to defend him in any respect. They nodded at him as he approached, their expressions severe and alert. Andrew followed close behind, his footsteps light and quick. When they reached the car, a sleek black Mercedes Benz, Andrew opened the door for Zack. Zack slid into the back seat, feeling the plush leather beneath him. The car smelled of new leather and expensive cologne. He took a deep breath, trying to prepare himself for the night ahead. * * Zack walked through the doors of the grand ballroom, his heart pounding in his chest. The room was packed with people, all dressed in their finest apparel. The air was thick with the fragrance of fragrance and costly cigars. Zack scanned the room, trying to find a familiar face. Then he heard a voice, calling out his name. "Zack! Over here!" He turned to see his stepmother, Susan, standing close to the bar, a pitcher of champagne in her hand. She waved him over, a smile on her face. Zack took a deep breath and walked towards her. "Zack, I'd like you to meet someone," Susan said, gesturing to the man and girl standing next to her. "This is Mr. Lourtez, the proprietor of Ariel companies. And that is his daughter, Cassandra." Mr. Lourtez prolonged his hand, a warm smile on his face. "It's a delight to meet you, Zack. I've heard loads about you from your stepmother." Cassandra smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Likewise," she stated, her voice smooth and melodic. As Zack shook fingers with Mr. Lourtez, refused to do the identical with Cassandra, due to the fact he felt a feeling of unease. He knew he had to portray a kind discernment so that today's occasion was going to be eventful. "So, Zack," Mr. Lourtez said, "inform me about yourself.” “What do you wanna know?” Zack smiled. "you are a young multibillionaire CEO?" Mr. Lourtez stated, his eyebrows raised in wonder. "Now I'm even more inspired! You must be doing something proper to have carried out a lot at this type of young age." "It's been plenty of difficult work," Zack stated, looking to sound humble. "I'm just fortunate to have the right possibilities." Mr. Lourtez turned to his daughter, a proud smile on his face. "Cassandra, why don't you inform Zack what you think of his enterprise?" Cassandra's cheeks flushed, but she spoke optimistically. "I think your company is doing wonderful things," she stated, her eyes constant on Zack. "you're making an effect, and i appreciate that. it is not easy to start a business enterprise and make it a success, mainly at the sort of younger age." Zack felt a wave of alleviation wash over him. She appeared to clearly believe in what he was doing, and her words had been a huge increase to his confidence. "Thanks," he stated, a smile forming on his lips. Zack courteously excused himself, making his way closer to the bathroom. He entered the toilet and discovered himself alone. The most effective sound was the hum of the air conditioning. He washed his hands and splashed a little water on his face, trying to shake off his nerves. As he turned to grab a towel, he noticed someone stood behind him, their face obscured by the shadows. He jumped, letting out a small yelp. "Uh, p*****t!!!!," a lady's voice said, stepping ahead into the light, a twig in her hand.
