"Teddy.." She breathed out before she could stop herself, and immediately she terribly regretted the slip of tongue.
She watched as he reeled back at the address as though he'd been physically hit, his eyes constricting as he looked at her with such rage, she felt her stomach churn with unease. "Don't you dare call me that." Each word forcefully said through clenched teeth.
And she nodded wordlessly, looking at him with silent apology as she watched him walk the short path towards their table, all the while conscious of the way his eyes trailed and lingered over her form, and she wouldn't delude herself into thinking the intensity he regarded her with was anything but the obvious anger he directed towards her.
