Working two jobs doesn’t give me a lot of time to socialize. I’d built a pretty good friendship with Maria and I’m working on that with Jay. I wave at all the neighbors, make small talk, chat with everyone who comes in the diner, but Maria, Jay, and Tina are the only people I really talk to. I was starting to get to know my Mom a little better, for which I am thankful.  I’ve even been getting to know my brother which was nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find he’s grown up to be a decent human, not the douchebag I always expected he’d be. I told him that too, he busted out laughing and replied that he was happy I was a decent human too and not the entitled spoiled brat he expected.
