We get to the dining room and older me hugs me and Tye. "You 2 be quiet. I'll show you how we have fun around the ship."
"What are you doing, woman?"
"NOTHING DIPAK. WHY YOU ALWAYS GOT TO BE IN MY BUSINESS?"
"WE'RE HERE!"
The older Thora and Coral walk in.
"O. M. G. IT'S OUR REALLY LITTLE BABY SISTER." They play with my hair.
"She's so tiny."
"She really is a baby." Thora sees Frode and her eyes get big. "I will have fun with you later."
Future Dipak stands up. "No. We're not crossing the mates. They are too young. You'll have to deal with not touching him. If you try, I will stop the ship and send your ass back."
She gives Dipak a dirty look. "I guess we won't be having any fun."
Frode seems relieved.
"I don't want to touch them either. They seem scary."
He nods and everyone laughs.
Future me smirks. "Yea right, I saw your eyes go dark."
I shake my head fast.
Future Tye smiles. "That was my fault, not hers."
"What happened?"
"They were dressed alike and standing in front of my desk. My eyes went dark, then hers did. It was nothing she did. And I wasn't going to touch her, before you think that. They were there and sexy. It was weird with them right there, alone, and in my sitting room."
"I bet that was weird."
"At least they weren't alone this time."
"Actually, we weren't alone last time. It was my Tye disguised as him."
Tye smiles. "I wanted to see her. I missed her. He took the fall for it."
Future me jumps up. "WHAT?"
Future Tye cracks up laughing. "I missed you woman. I wanted some time with you. He did the same thing I did, so I agreed. I know nothing serious happened."
"I MADE OUT WITH YOU JACKASS."
"Yea, but it was me, so it was ok."
"SHE THINKS SHE MADE OUT WITH YOU."
I raise my hand. "Actually, we didn't even kiss. We watched a movie and ate snacks. Talked."
Future Dipak stands up. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN YOU MADE OUT WITH HIM? We agreed then too to not touch each other's mates. Were they hitting on you or trying anything?"
"No, it was just Tye. I found out about it now."
"So you spent the last 10,000 years thinking you made out with the older Tye?"
I sit back and take a drink. I cough a bit, but everyone is watching their argument and doesn't notice me. I nudge Tye and motion him to drink. I don't know what this is, but it is definitely alcohol.
"IT WAS SOME KISSING. NOTHING SERIOUS. HE SAID IT HIMSELF."
"BUT YOU THOUGHT IT WASN'T HIM."
Tye takes a drink and winks at me.
Older Marcus stands up. "HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE YOU MADE OUT WITH AND NOT TOLD US?"
"NONE. OLDER TYE WAS STILL MY MATE. IT WAS CONFUSING. AND I WAS SO DAMN YOUNG." She puts her hands on her hips. "Nothing happened but some kissing. And he was still my mate. I was confused. I liked him. I figured out later, it was normal to like him, even if he wasn't on my timeline. And now I figure out IT WAS YOU."
"I'm sorry. I missed you. I wanted to see you. You're everything to me, and I was so lost without you. I didn't know any kissing would happen. I only wanted to sit with you."
She slams herself down in the chair. "So much for waiting months for that kiss."
"So much for telling us you kissed one of the older people." Older Marcus slams himself down.
"I did wait babydoll. That was the only time I got to see you before we started talking again. I never disguised myself again. I did feel bad about it, and I wasn't trying to confuse you. I wanted to sit by you and show you popcorn. I wanted to show you how the movies worked, so you wouldn't be bored. That's all."
"Ok."
My Tre stands up. "DID YOU KNOW SHE WAS GOING TO GET HURT ON THAT ESCALATOR?"
He shakes his head. "She never did before."
Future me looks at him. "My future Dipak caught me on the people mover. I bit him. He let go. I ran to Marcus and cried about how mean he was."
"In some ways, you seem younger than she was."
Future Marcus motions for the food. "Like she was given more time to grow up."
She smiles at me. "Out of curiosity, who was your first?"
I point at Dipak.
"I was having s*x with Tre for 60 years before Dipak noticed me. Tre was my first everything."
My eyebrows shoot up. "60 years?"
"We were teenagers."
I stare. It's all I can do.
Tre chokes on something.
I rub my eyes while he collects himself. "How was it?"
Her and future Tre laugh. "He had no idea what the hell to do. It hurt bad. There was blood everywhere."
"I don't think anyone had fun and there was so much blood."
"Probably because she was so young."
"We both were."
Future Dipak nods. "Then every time they would fight and break up, we would find her with someone new. It was horrible for a while. But once I told her she was mine, she knocked that off. Elek was the only one she got away with after I claimed her."
I glance at Dipak, and he throws food in his mouth.
"Then I found them. I'm happy. I love them. So, if Dipak was your first... and you didn't sleep with Elek. You didn't have s*x with anyone else?"
I shake my head.
"That's why she acts so young still. She is innocent. A lot more innocent than I was at her age."
"OUR INNOCENT BABY BABY SISTER. LET'S GO CORRUPT YOU."
I grab my chair and Tye with a death grip.
My boys laugh. Dipak shakes his head. "There will be no corruption. We like her this way. She's ours and that's it."
"We would never get her to cheat on you. Maybe a kiss or 2. She's way too innocent."
Tye looks at them. "A kiss is still cheating."
Thora's eyes go red. "IS IT REALLY TYE? IS IT? I KNOW YOU KISSED THAT GIRL. SO YOU CHEATED?"
Coral rubs her eyes. "Let's just ignore the girls we've all kissed over the years."
Thora shrugs her shoulders. "Us kissing girls doesn't count. Ask any man at this table. They don't care and it's not cheating. They don't want us kissing boys for some reason."
"It was cheating. I won't do it again. I promise you that. No, it's not cheating if you kiss other girls."
"See, they like it when we kiss girls. It's not cheating. It's only cheating if the boys kiss girls. Or boys. I don't know. DIPAK I'm confused about the rules again."
Future Dipak stands up. "Boys are not allowed to kiss anyone, girls or boys, ever. Under any circumstances, you girls can not kiss boys. Ever. You girls can kiss girls. We don't care. But if it goes farther than kissing, you have to get one of your mates to watch." He smirks at my Dipak. "To watch for safety concerns."
My Dipak nods. "That sounds like the perfect rule to me."
"Do I follow that one too?"
"Yes."
"Well, I wanted to go out tonight and my Frode isn't here. Can I take that one to watch me and a girl?"
Frode chokes on something.
Tre smacks him on the back. "That would be crossing the mates. He's not ready for that."
Frode tries to say something and chokes again.
Older Dipak smirks. "You'll have to stick to kissing only tonight."
"Ugh. Fine."
"WAIT... WHERE ARE YOU GOING OUT?"
"I meant on the ship. Lots of girls here. I miss boobs."
"I'm watching you all now."
"It's fine."
Another cup gets delivered to me and Tye. We eat and drink for another hour. It's nice having dinner together.
