~4 months later~

Blaire's pov

"Look at her. She is adorable just like her mother." Elona, Stefan's Gamma says observing my little angel, Eleanor sleeping peacefully in her crib.

"Yes. She is just like her mother." Stefan whispers smiling at me.

"Blaire you are so lucky you have her. I love her, I will steal her from you one day!" Elona says and hugs me.

"She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I still can't realize that four months have passed so quickly. I am glad she is safe and sound." I say and smile thankfully at Stefan.

"Thank you for trusting me Blaire. It means everything for me." Stefan tells me and Elona leaves us alone in my room after she excuses herself.

"You are my savior. I don't know what I would have done without you. You are very kind and generous with me."

"Blaire... I need to talk to you about something. I wanted you to give birth and then have this kind of discussion... " He says a bit nervously.

"Yes?"

"Let's sit first." He suggests and we both sit down on my sofa.

Eleanor, my baby girl is sleeping peacefully in her crib. I wanted to have her as close as possible and that's why I have her in my room.

I gave birth one week ago and you can't imagine the pain I went through. I am not sure I can do this again, I am still shocked. The first one who held her after me was Stefan who fell in love with her immediately. He adores her, he even stays awake staring at her sleeping.

He is always by my side and takes care of me. He was spending too much time with me during my pregnancy and he was doing anything he could to please me and make me happy.

His whole pack welcomed me and hugged me from the first day, I have lots of good friends and they are all taking care of me in every way they can.

I had a bad feeling some days ago about my pack and family but my father assured me that everyone and everything is fine. All these months, my family and I are talking lots of times every day and things are quiet with Ian. They are all following my orders and they are happy and proud about my little girl. They see her every day in Skype and I have sent them many photos. My parents were crying like crazy when they first saw her in my arms some days ago and they are looking forward to visit us soon. Kyle, Tia and Kara are acting like silly uncles asking me as many photos as I can get from Eleanor. My friends are excited and they want very much to see her and hold her in their arms. My grandma of course is the most excited of all and very proud of me, just like Stefan...

"So Stefan?" I ask worried.

"It is difficult for me to talk about it but I want you to know my feelings about you... Um... Blaire, I have feelings for you. I think you already know it but I need to make it clear."

Beth is howling happily making me more nervous than ever, I could feel something was going on but I couldn't believe it. I mean, I thought he was just protective over me and Eleanor as my father's friend. He is very sweet and caring with me all these months and I feel safe with him but something was stopping me from accepting that he is interested in me.

"I... I thought... That you were just too kind to me... At least that was what I was trying to believe." I say trembling.

"I understand Blaire, I would never pressure you to be with me I..."

"No, you don't understand Stefan. I just feel uncomfortable because you are my father's friend and I was thinking differently about you. I appreciate you, I feel safe and happy with you. I need time, all the things that have happened the last months are too much for me. Especially now with Eleanor in my life. I want to make steady, small steps from now on." I explain blushing embarrassed.

Okay, I said it!

"You mean you are not denying the possibility of being with me in the future?" he asks me breathless almost panicked for my answer.

"Yes, I just need time. I like you, I have feelings about you, not like a mate for now but I can't say no. I think we have a stable base and we can be together in the future. You love El so much, she already likes you too. How can I say no to you?"

"Blaire, I will never pressure you. I know what I want and I want you and Eleanor in my life. I have been through a lot and I am sure about you. You are making me very happy, every day from the moment you came here. You changed my life again after Mina and my daughter died. I may be lots of years older than you but..."

"No, no. Don't mention our ages. I would never care about it. I care about you and your feelings Stefan. Your behavior and you are mesmerizing me every day even more." I say and take his hands in mine smiling at him.

"I love you very much. I am here for you and Eleanor whatever you decide." He whispers and pulls me in his embrace gently.

It feels very natural being in his arms, his scent is calming me down all these months, I love being around him. His aura is something different.

I have to admit I am a lucky woman!

"You are a great man." I whisper and bury my face in his chest feeling loved and protected.

He purrs caressing my back and kissing the top of my head gently.

"Blaire... I have to tell you something else... Henna is coming here in any minute now." he whispers worried after some seconds.

"Why? What happened?" I say and jump up worried and Eleanor wakes up and starts crying.

I rush to her crib and take her in my arms kissing her forehead softly. She stops crying after some more seconds and Stefan walks to us and caresses my cheek smiling.

"Don't worry. They are all fine. There is something that happened one day after you gave birth and I didn't want to tell you. You were exhausted and I wanted you to rest. Besides that none of them got hurt so..."

"Stefan what happened?" I ask trying to be calm in order not to worry Eleanor again.

"It has to do with..." he says but Elona opens the door and interrupts him.

"They are here." She simply says and Stefan nods and signs for her to come in.

"Elona stay here with Eleanor. Blaire will come with me. If you need anything inform us immediately."

"Yes Alpha. Give her to me Blaire. I will take care of her for as long as you are downstairs." She says and I give her Eleanor.

"If she cries call me immediately."

"Of course Blaire. Don't worry." She tells me smiling.

"Come sweetheart." He says and takes my hand in his leading me downstairs on one of his offices.

He opens the door and signs for me to get in first, I get in and gasp in shock.

It's Henna and...

"Henna what are you doing here with Alexis?" I scream shocked.

"Blaire let her explain. Be patient." Stefan says and stands next to me placing his hand around my waist supporting me.

"Blaire..." Henna whispers, starts crying and runs to me pulling me in her arms.

I stay in my place frozen staring at Alexis, Ian's Beta lost and confused. Alexis seems worried and his expression looks like he is in pain. I tap Henna's back softly and after some time she stops crying, pulls a bit back and look at me in the eyes.

"We have to tell you something and ask for you help and acceptance." She whispers and I nod lost.

"Sit down please." Stefan asks and Henna sits on a chair next to Alexis in front of Stefan's office.

Stefan pulls me to sit on his chair behind his office and he stands by my side waiting for Henna to talk. She takes a deep breath and begins.

"Six days ago Tia went to the forest alone. She was playing hide and seek with some other kids and left away from the pack house. She got lost and some kids came and told me they couldn't find her. I ordered some trackers and fighters to rush and find her. Dean and Cai joined us. I caught her scent after some time near our border with Ian's pack."

"What?" I scream and jump up shaking panicked.

"Shh Blaire. Calm down and listen to her." Stefan tells me softly and I sit down unwillingly nodding in frustration.

"I found her quickly, she was safe and sound but just a little bit scared. We were ready to go back when Ian with some of his fighters appeared in front of us and circled us. I informed the pack to come and help me. Ian wanted to kill Tia, I stood in front of her to protect her. He was ready to attack me when Alex appeared and jumped on him. He protected us and Dean with your father and some of our fighters came in time and helped us. Ian fought with Alex, he almost killed him and told him he will kill him if he dares to go back to his pack. He said he is his enemy now as well for stepping up for me." She explains trembling and Alex stands up and pulls her in his arms. 

"He... Is everyone alright? Why didn't you tell me? Why were you lying to me all these days?" I scream and hit my hand on the desk with power.

"Blaire you had just given birth. I couldn't risk it. I talked about this with your father and we decided not to tell you immediately. That's why they came here today. We had to tell you." Stefan explains with guilt.

"Blaire, I am sorry. We just need your acceptance. You know we are mates." Alex tells me with a painful expression.

"You love her, don't you?" I ask him narrowing me eyes at him.

"Of course I love her. She is my mate. Ian never accepted our bond. I couldn't let him hurt her. I asked him to talk with you and your father some months ago but he got mad at me. He told me that if I want to be with Henna I should leave the pack. I couldn't stand it anymore."

"Are you willing to join my pack? Is that what you mean?"

"Of course. I always had my suspicions about Zachary. We all have suspicions but Ian trusts him blindly."

"You have my acceptance Alex. You can become my pack's member once I get back. Just don't mention him in front of me again."

"Blaire thank you so much!" Henna shouts excited, runs and hugs me tightly.

"Don't thank me. I have to thank you for protecting Tia and Alex for protecting both of you. I am glad you are all alright."

"See? Everyone is good sweetheart." Stefan commends and moves closer to me wrapping one hand around my arms.

"Um... Blaire, Alex knows about Eleanor. We told him." Henna whispers a bit shyly.

"Remind me to kick your ass then. Anyway... I already trust him so you are lucky. Welcome to our family Alex." I say and open my arms for him.

"Thank you Blaire. I knew you were a kindhearted person. Thank you so much." He says and hugs me back.

"I want to see my little girl now. Don't think I have forgotten her." Henna screams impatiently.

"I think they deserve it Blaire."

"Yes Stefan, you are right. Come with me." I tell them and lead them up the stairs and to my room quickly.

I get in and find Elona cooing my baby while sitting on my bed. Eleanor is staring at her with her big, light blue eyes in silence. I stop and give Elona a big smile.

She really loves her!

"Thank you for staying with her."

"You are welcome Blaire. Come El, go to mommy." she says, gives her to me and then leaves the room.

I turn around and Stefan, Henna and Alexis get in the room closing the door and staring at Eleanor amused. Henna starts crying for once more and Alex is smiling speechless. I walk to them and turn El to face them.

"Look El, there are your aunt and your new uncle." I say softly and she seems to understand me as she smiles at them.

"She is so sweet. Give her to me!" Henna almost demands and opens her arms to hold her.

"She is beautiful Blaire. I can't believe it. I could have never thought of it." Alex tells me and caresses Eleanor's cheek making her giggle.

"Alex we have to keep it as a secret, you know..."

"You don't have to explain. You are right. You did the right think. Ian is crazy and I agree with you."

"Stefan you are taking so much care of them. Thank you." Henna states turning to Stefan and he smiles proudly.

"Don't mention it. I have to thank Blaire for being here with me. I will never let anyone harm them." He replies and places a kiss on my forehead making me blush and Henna with Alex open their eyes widely.

"Blaire can we talk alone for a while please?" Henna asks me with a pointed look.

Oh no! I know this look of hers...

"We will leave you alone with El. I will show Axel their room." Stefan says and gets out of my room with Alex close behind him.

I sit on my bed and Henna joins me with Eleanor in her arms.

This is going to be awkward...

"So?" I ask nervously.

"So? You tell me. What is going on with Stefan? What have I missed?"

"Um... He told me he has feelings for me just a while ago. He is very sweet and kind with me and El. So generous and caring."

"What did you tell him? How do you feel about him?"

"I adore him, I feel safe and happy with him. I can't deny I have feelings for him but I am not ready for the whole mating relationship. I am not in love with him, I need time. I am still hurt and..."

"You are thinking about Ian even if he is a monster. It is logical Blaire, he is your true mate, Eleanor's father. Take your time. Don't pressure yourself."

"Stefan is very happy. He loves El so much. Did you see the way he was staring at her? He is behaving like she is his daughter. After his daughter and Mina's death he told me he feels happy for the first time."

"I can imagine my friend. I like this man a lot."

"Me too, and Eleanor and Beth."

"I see..."

"So what about you with Alex? I like him, he is very brave Henna. He has something different..."

"I know, I am so happy he took the decision to fight for me. I was so miserable all these months after I found out we are mates. I thought he hated me."

"But he loves you. I am very happy about you Henna."

"Thank you Blaire. Thanks for accepting us. I know you were afraid of trusting him."

"He saved you and Tia. He proved he deserves my trust. How long are you going to stay here?"

"I want to ask you to allow Alex stay here for some weeks. Being so close to his previous pack is hurting him even if he doesn't accept it. I will go back in some days from now."

"If that's what you want I will talk to Stefan to allow him to stay with us." I say immediately and she gives me a big, grateful smile.

"Thanks Blaire. I missed you so much! I love you, you know it, right?"

"I do. And I love you too! You are like a real sister to me." I say and hug her gently careful not to hurt Eleanor.

Thanks Goddess we are all safe and sound despite Ian's attempts to hurt us, but for how long?
