Catalytic Meeting...

"Everything happens for a reason, even it takes too long!" Third person's pov One more year had passed and Blaire with El was still in Switzerland with Ann.  Blaire was more confused after that cold night with the snow...  She wasn't sure about her feelings and started again from the beginning. She was surely in love with Stefan, she knew it but...  Ian was always in her mind, every day and night. She loved him, she was getting sure but it was not only because of El, it was something more than that. She was feeling passion, the same she had felt the first time she had met him, the day she felt loved by him. It wasn't only Ian's fault...  It was everyone's, they should have all tried to find the truth earlier, they should have dealed with Zachary long time ago... Ian was logical to believe him, he was his uncle, his own blood and it was easy for Zachary to manipulate him. She could realize now that Ian was fighting with himself as well and he was desperate, he had feelings for her but again his behavior was harsh... And... She didn't know the whole truth, she didn't know that Zachary had sent Ian the photo in which she was wearing the wedding dress, she didn't know about all these lies Zachary had said to Ian and made Ian's heart feel so much hatred and anger... She only knew half of everything and not about the nights that Ian was getting crazy from her absence and the images he had in his mind from her being with Stefan. She had no idea how much Ian had regretted what he had been doing to her, the marking against her will, the rejection, the cheating, the kidnap of her grandma and Nate... She could imagine that Ian was in pain and had regretted everything, she had seen it in his eyes when Matthew woke up and explained everything but now it was different.  Nate and her grandma were not alive, Ian might had been a victim but he had taken part and he was still guilty. She was getting frustrated every time she was thinking of everything and her heart was hurting, she was a mess and this was making her even more nervous and scared about the future... She was unaware or what was happening back at her pack, Stefan's and Ian's but she was going to learn too soon... Someone was too close to her for business without knowing that she was living there. Blaire was eating with Derek, Ann and Eleanor at a small restaurant at the city near Ann's house and Derek's territory.  It was dark and cold outside, it was snowing again like that night one year ago and they were having fun but Blaire was too silent and something was feeling weird. She had a feeling from the morning, Beth was murmuring something for hours but she wasn't sure and Blaire couldn't understand anything from what she was saying. She was melancholic during their drive to the restaurant and  except from when she ordered hers and Eleanor's food she didn't talk again. Ann knew that she had a strange feeling and decided not to press her but Derek was too worried and knew nothing, he wanted to make her feel better, she was like a sister for him. He kept staring at her for some minutes troubled with a thoughtful yet concerned expression. She had a blank expression and was playing with her food without paying attention to their discussion. El was giggling with Ann and her jokes and Derek was making some comments teasing them but Blaire was too lost to hear a thing. He sighed confused and shook his head thoughtfully. "Blaire what is wrong?" he asked her through their link. She almost jumped up from her sit and turned to look at him surprised. She tried to act casually afraid that El might notice and smiled to her caressing her cheek. El giggled and turned again to Ann while Blaire sighed and turned to Derek. "I think that something is about to happen... I don't know why but..." she stopped and opened her eyes widely as a scent hit her nose. Derek did the same and turned his head towards the scent and the direction it was coming from. Their bodied tensed immediately, they were both in alert, it was a threat, it was an unknown... Werewolf... "It is out at the woods..." Beth howled frustrated through the link. She was right, the restaurant was at the edge of the forest at the borders of the city. Derek's hands turned to fists under the table and he almost growled. "Alpha, we caught a scent of a rogue near our borders... He didn't come in our territory but we chased him, we are very close to you at the restaurant." Lucas told him through the pack's link. "Coming, don't lose him, he might be a threat." Derek growled and got up trying to seem calm. Blaire did the same.  Ann understood that something was happening from Blaire's serious expression and nodded discreetly. She would stay at the restaurant with El and Derek with Blaire would go to see what was happening with that rogue. "Baby, we have a work to do with uncle Derek, stay here with grandma Ann. Okay?" Blaire asked El smiling. "Yes mommy. Don't worry." The little four years old girl said cheerfully and took a big bite from her pasta. Blaire kissed her forehead in hurry and followed Derek outside and moved at the back side of the restaurant. Their steps were careful trying not to make much noise due to the thick snow. Once they reached at the back looked around them to get sure that no one was watching them and quickly headed to the forest which was beginning some meters in front of them. "Alpha, we are too close. We can smell you." Lia said through the link. "We can smell you too. Where is he?" Derek asked with clear anger in his voice. "About 200 meters from you and 100 from us. I have no idea what he is trying to do, he doesn't want to fight..." Lucas replied confused in the end. Blaire and Derek continued walking quickly for some more time towards the scent but as they were getting closer Blaire's eyes opened widely in realization. "s**t!" she whispered and stopped walking gasping for air almost panicked. "Blaire what is it?" Derek asked her worried and stopped and turned to her side. She didn't respond, she took some deep breaths and closed her eyes trembling nervously. Beth was howling excited and she was getting sure about her thought... She opened her eyes some seconds later and when Derek tried to talk again she quickly raised her hand to stop him. Her big, light green eyes shined in the darkness and she began walking fast, almost running to the scent's direction. Derek began running behind her confused and mind linked the others not to make any move. The scent was getting more and more intense, Blaire was certain, he was here, he was in Switzerland, she was about to see him.  She was about 50 meters away from the wolf when a loud howl echoed and by everyone except Blaire's surprise it wasn't a warning one.  She continued running, she was getting excited, she had missed him, it was such a pleasant surprise! "Blaire what are you doing? Do you know this wolf?" Derek asked her panicked trough the link. "Yes!" she replied breathless. "Who is he?" She stopped in a small glade and her eyes fell on the man that came out of a big tree dressed only in a jean. He opened his eyes widely in enthusiasm immediately and sighed ready to scream. His face was shining from happiness and relief, he knew it was her, she was safe and sound. Blaire felt some tears falling from her eyes and after some seconds found her lost breath. Derek reached her and looked at the man confused. "Blaire who is he?" he asked her again. She shook her head emotional and sighed excited. "Dillon!" she almost shouted and rushed to him with shaking legs. "Blaire, it's you! You are here!" he shouted and opened his arms for her. She jumped on him and wrapped her hands and legs around his body like a small girl, like his little sister as they were always saying. She was crying and laughing at the same time, she was happy, she felt like home again.  Dillon was always close to her, he was seven years older and she was his little girl from when she was born. He was always by her side and she was standing next to him as well in everything.  Dillon was crying slightly but he was also murmuring and chuckling with joy. His little girl was there in his arms, she was safe and sound and she was happy to see him.  Beth was howling ecstatic in Blaire's head and Dillon's wolf was acting like a puppy excited, they were friends and they had been spending lots of time together at the trainings. "Are you alright baby? We are all dying from wary! How are you, where is El?" he asked her with cracking voice. "I am fine, El is perfect. You will see her soon. I miss you all so much, I was thinking about all of you every day, I was worried sick..." Blaire whispered emotional and buried her face in his neck sighing. "Thanks Goddess baby. You have no idea how much we miss you." "How is everyone? My family, my pack, Stefan, Isaak?" Blaire asked and pulled back to look at him. "They are all perfect, don't worry. Only your dad is complaining about your absence sometimes but he is better. Kyle is making a great job!" he said smiling. "Blaire?" Derek said awkwardly and walked to them with curiosity. "Oh! This is one of my best friends, Alpha Dillon. We are together since I was born. I have told you about him." Blaire explained smiling and wiped her tears. "And this is Derek. He is the Alpha of a small pack here, he is like a brother for me from the first day I came. He is my best friend." She continued pointing Derek. Dillon and Derek gave a handshake and smiled to each other warmly. Blaire's words were enough to make them like and trust each other. "What are you doing here Dil? I mean, how, you...?" Blaire asked confused. "I had some people to see here for some companies and I needed a run. I took the scent of the territory and decided to go back to my hotel, I didn't want to cause troubles, you know... But they followed me and then I took your scent, my wolf got crazy and I knew it was you." He explained smiling. "It's Derek's pack territory and they are his Betas who are following you. We took your scent, they informed us and..." "You decided to kill me..." Dillon teased her playfully. "Silly! I am so happy!" Blaire exclaimed and buried herself in his arms again. "Well... I will go to take Ann and El back home. Go with Dillon and wait for us, okay? We all have a lot to discuss. I will inform the guys and tomorrow we will all come to see you and meet them to Dillon." Derek said cheerfully. "Thanks Derek. Come Dil! We will go through the forest and wait for the others. You will stay with us, I don't take no for answer." Blaire stated and Dillon nodded quickly excited. The woman above them smiled pleased. Dillon was the best and most suitable person for everything she had in mind. He was kind, calm, wise, confident, sweet and caring. He was the one Blaire needed in order to be convinced... "Dillon... One of my favorite children and not without reason. A man with honor and love in his heart, gentle and strong with understanding. Blaire's silent and discreet support... You are going to be transporter of the most important news..." she whispered with a soft smile full of adoration. She was sure now. Her plan...  Was going to succeed... ~some time later, Ann's house~ Blaire and Dillon were sitting in the living room with more comfortable clothes, they had both taken a quick, hot bath and they were drinking coffee next to the fireplace. Derek was about to come with El and Ann in every minute as they had to pay, go to the car and drive a bit more distance than Blaire and Dillon had made in their wolf forms. "I missed you very much. I am sorry I left that way but I knew that you would try to stop me and I couldn't stay, I wanted time and space. I was the only one that knew about Max's mom and I decided to ask for her help, I also had promised Max to take care of her and check on her if anything would happen to him, so..." Blaire whispered with guilt and lowered her eyes a bit ashamed. Dillon moved closer to her and wrapped his arm around her smiling warmly. She was still in pain and this was breaking his heart. Blaire was always strong and she knew how to deal with everything but after what had happened she was not the same, she couldn't think clearly, she was frustrated. "Baby, you did the right thing. You needed it and you had to leave. Blaire, you are a mother first and then comes everything else. Your first priority is Eleanor and you have to be happy and strong for her. We are the last thing that matters." He told her softly and kissed her forehead. "How is my pack?" she asked with shaking hands worried. "They are all fine, like you left them. They all miss you and follow your orders. Kyle is amazing, you trained him to become one of the best and he is. He is strong Blaire, like you and kind and smart." He replied smiling with pride. Blaire sighed relieved and wiped some tears from her eyes. She knew that her brother would never disappoint her, she trusted him more than anyone, she could see inside his heart and mind, he was a great, young man. The noise of Derek's car made them turn their head to the window. It was too dark outside and its lights were obvious. Some voices heard and their scents became more tensed. "They are here. El will be very happy to see you. She asks about all of you sometimes and Ann knows about you as well. She wants to meet you." Blaire told him with joy and stood up. "Mommy we are home!" a sweet, loud voice of a little girl came from outside the door and a knock followed. Blaire quickly left the living room and went to the door, opened some lights and then the door. She kneeled down and took her four years old daughter in her arms, she stood up again and took some steps back for Ann to get in. Derek was going back to his pack and the following morning he was going to visit them again with the other members of his pack. Dillon was waiting patiently but nervous at the living room and left his coffee at the small table at the center of the room when he heard the door closing and steps that were getting louder second by second. He stood up in time when Blaire walked inside the living room with Eleanor in her arms and behind them a woman near her 45's with dirty blonde hair until her shoulders. Blaire and Ann were smiling and El was a bit confused as she hadn't recognized him. "Baby, do you remember this man? You have met him before..." Blaire said excited and looked El patiently. Dillon was looking at El amused. She was just like Blaire except from her eyes that were just like Ian's, big and a mix of light grey and blue. She was tall for her age as he could see with normal weight and her hair was long in a light brown chocolate color as Blaire's. She was beautiful and sweet. El looked at her mother for some seconds and then turned to look at him thoughtful. She stared at Dillon with wonder on her face but after a while she smiled and turned again to her mother. "Uncle Dillon!" she yelled excited. Blaire nodded laughing and left her down quickly. Dillon kneeled surprised that El remembered him and she run to him immediately like a flash. She fell in his arms giggling and laughing and Dillon hugged her ready to cry from joy, he had missed her a lot even if he had seen her only two-three times in Canada when he was paying a visit to Stefan and Blaire. "Sweetheart, how are you?" he asked her trembling touched and kissed the top of her head for some seconds emotionally. "I am fine. I missed you! I was asking for you!" she replied with nozzle and kissed his cheek. "I missed you too honey. But I am here now!" he told her playfully and tickled her stomach making her giggle. "Dillon, this is Ann, Max Wilson's mother. And Ann, this is Dillon, the friend I was talking to you about." Blaire explained next introducing the one to the other. Ann walked to Dillon and El, he stood up with Eleanor in his arms and Ann pulled him in her arms gently. "I am so happy to meet you Dillon. Blaire loves you very much." Ann murmured warmly and caressed his back softly. "Thank you Ann. It is nice to meet you too! Thanks for taking care of them." He replied and smiled happily. "It was the least I could do for my daughter and grandchild so please don't thank me honey." She said and looked at Blaire with adoration. "El baby, it is late now. Go with grandma Ann to sleep and tomorrow you will spend time with your uncles and aunts. Say goodnight to your uncle now and go to our room, I will come later." Blaire said and Ann nodded. "Goodnight uncle." El murmured and kissed his cheek again. "Sweet dreams sweetheart. I will see you tomorrow morning." He answered, kissed her forehead and left her down. Ann took El from her hand and after Blaire kissed Eleanor and told her goodnight they left the living room and went upstairs at Blaire and El's bedroom.  Blaire signed for Dillon to sit again and took her place next to him on the big couch. She took her coffee again and drank a sip with a concerned expression. "What is it baby?" Dillon asked her softly. "I want to know about my family and Stefan. Tell me please!" she told him and left her cap again at the table. "Okay." Dillon replied. He sat comfortably on the couch and Blaire did the same thing and turned her body to his while looking at him in the eyes silent. "Well, I told you about Kyle, he is replacing you perfectly. He had no difficulties, he is clever, supporting and they all trust him. He runs the pack like you, he follows your advices and what you have taught him. He trains the pack with Alex, Dean, your uncle and Albert! He was training also Kara and Tia but now only Tia and he does a great work." "What happened to Kara?" Blaire asked worried and sat up in tension. "Relax silly! Kara found her mate and... He is Isaak!" Dillon explained smirking. "Really?" she exclaimed enthusiastic and sighed. "Yes, she is for almost one year now with him. She is a great Luna and they are very happy, Isaak is happier than ever, he adores her." Blaire felt some tears on her eyes again. She was so happy and excited about her cousin and her friend. They were both very good characters and they had lots of same interests, they had lots in common. "Well... Your mom and dad are fine except from the moments that your father is nattering. He misses you very much Blaire, I have never seen him like this, he is not so strong as he was. He is not that happy or pleased even if they are all okay. He needs you and El but your mom scolds him enough to make him stop complaining. Tia is great as I told you, she is very smart and sweet. Your uncles are fine and very relieved about Kara and her life. Albert is helping everyone like you had asked him. I am glad we have him, he is a great man." Dillon continued and stopped when he saw the pain in Blaire's eyes. "What is it sweetie? About your dad?" he asked her with sympathy. She nodded and took a deep breath sniffling. "I can imagine how much he is suffering... I am his favorite... I failed him, I was not enough, I am weak Dillon. Look what I did..." she whispered and tried to gain her strength not to cry. "Baby no! You never failed him, he just misses you but you had to do it. He understands. Okay?" Blaire nodded nervously and sign for him to continue. She wanted to know more! "Dean and Cai are like you know them, they make a great job like always and they help Kyle a lot... Now Henna and Alex... Um... They are great and two months ago... They became parents, Henna gave birth to a great boy, they named him Nick." "What? They are parents and I missed it?" she almost screamed and began crying touched. "I can't believe that my brother and sister have a baby!" she murmured through her cries and Dillon pulled her in his arms giggling. "Come on! They are happy and Stefan convinced Alex... I mean, they both wanted a baby but Alex wanted you by their side and Henna was being patient in order not to pressure him and Stefan told him everything. He knew that Alex wanted a baby too so, they are perfect now!" he told her smiling. She sniffled with complaint, wiped her tears and took a deep breath nodding. She was extremely overwhelmed suddenly. "Okay, I just missed it and I am so happy for them." She explained emotional. "I know baby, I understand." "Stefan?" she asked with a worried expression. "He is good, it was a big surprise for all of us but he did best than everyone. He wants to make you proud of him and he keeps on doing everything the same way you had been doing it together. He misses you and Eleanor very much and he is waiting for you. He understands and he respects your wish. He really knows you needed it." She nodded without being able to say a think. She was sure that he would be strong but hearing that he was braver than everyone made her happy for him, he deserved the best... "You know... El misses him so much. I mean, she misses everyone but especially him. He is her daddy after all, she is asking him every day and it is so awkward and painful... I miss him so much, I need him and I am so confused... Dillon, I... Ia..." she trembled and paused sighing frustrated. She was ready to cry again, she was thinking about Eleanor, Ian, her unborn child and Stefan... She was so confused and lost, she had no idea what was happening to her mind and heart. She was in the middle of the two men for the first time, she was feeling things for both of them and she had so many guilts... "Blaire..." Dillon murmured nervously. He tightened his hold around her and kissed the top of her head with affection. "Yes?" Blaire whispered with curiosity from his tone. He took a deep breath and sighed anxious, he had to tell her, after all Ian was El's dad and Dillon knew everything. He was sorry for them and their daughter, Ian was alone and he was too close to reach death for long time... They knew each other for years, Ian was three years older than him and before Blaire they were quite close friends... "Um... Blaire sweetheart..." he trembled awkward. "What about Ian?" he asked her softly. She felt her heart beating fast from wary and Beth began howling frustrated in her mind. They both had a bad feeling and they were getting panicked about him... "Is Ian alright?" she asked shaking trying to stay calm and don't cry again. "Now he is... But he wasn't..." he replied with a mixed expression of pain and sympathy. "Dillon! For Luna's sake speak!" she almost screamed breathless. "Okay but calm down. Now Blaire, calm down now, he is fine." He replied serious in his alpha tone to make her concentrate. "Okay, I am good..." she murmured calmer after some seconds of taking deep breaths. "Good. Well, Ian had depression for about a year. He was locked in his room, he wasn't eating, speaking, sleeping, getting out, he was just a living ghost. He was blaming himself for everything, he wanted to die, he was lost, he was crying every night and calling your name..." he began saying and stopped when he saw tears falling from eyes and her jaw clenching. The pain was breaking her heart, it was enough for her to feel desperate and helpless. Beth was mourning in a low tone, she was frustrated and in pain for Terror and Ian. "Continue please..." she said from almost inside her with a heartbroken expression. "Matthew, Wendy, Bill, Evan, Albert, Alex and even I tried to talk and reason with him but he was listening to  no one. He was just cursing himself for everything. He was heartbroken that you left because of him and he was mad at himself. He was in the edge of dying from weakness but suddenly one day about one year ago he began getting better. He still has depression but now he eats, he sleeps a bit, he gets outside his room and around the pack house for some time, he is getting trained again and he gradually began running the pack as before. He also asked sorry from everyone and I don't know how but they all forgave him. He explained us everything." "What do you mean?" Blaire asked confused. "Blaire... Do you know why Ian was so mad and how he learned about you and Stefan?" he asked already knowing that the answer would be no. She shook her head negatively and signed for him to continue. "Zachary, Blaire... He sent him the article with you and Stefan. He was feeding his anger with everything he could. Also... Blaire... Someone sent him a photo of you wearing wedding dresses with a note that you were getting married. That's why Ian kidnapped them, to stop the wedding and make you go with him. Everything leads to Zachary, he is behind everything. The men that kidnapped your grandma and Nate were Zachary's, not Ian's and they were just following Zachary's orders. He made the plan to help Ian take you but he was pretending helping him. Ian was saying the truth, he knew nothing, he never ordered anything. His order was clear: Keep them, don't hurt or kill them!" He explained softly trying not to overwhelm her more. "We are all trying to find him Blaire. We talked with Victor, he is helping in any way he can but it's like Zachary has disappeared for good from this world. Ian wants to find him and kill him with his own hands even if he dies the next second." He continued and stopped waiting for her reaction patiently. "Dillon... What do you think of... Ian's... Feelings?" she asked with a cracking voice and a lost, blank expression with tears in her eyes. "He loves you more than anything Blaire. He was angry for not being able to be with you all these years because he was confused. Honey... He regrets everything every day and night. I think he deserves forgiveness if not a chance." Blaire shook her head weakly in desperation. She closed her eyes and buried her face in Dillon neck crying softly. The pain was killing her, her heart was breaking slowly into pieces. All those years she was thinking that everything was over between them, that the love was gone, the feelings were dead...  She was the one that had said that when something dies must stay dead because if it comes back, it will be a ghost, a monster that will kill everything and everyone else. But now... Now, she knew that nothing was dead between then, their love never died, the trust yes, the faith but not the love... It was still in her heart and feeling him suffering was killing her more than anything. And suddenly she wanted to ease the pain, make him happy, even a bit because only in this way she would be happy as well. His happiness was her oxygen, her purpose in life, the reason that would make her feel complete again... Beth howled in agreement encouraging Blaire to make the right thing.  They both knew what they had to do and quickly. They couldn't stand it anymore. They wanted to see all of them and clear things with Ian, forgive him and wait to see his behavior a while before they decide either to tell him about El or keep on hiding her existence. "Dillon..." Blaire said suddenly and pulled back to look at him. "Yes honey?" he asked worried watching her serious expression. "I am coming back with you!" she stated with determination and her eyes shined. "What?" The woman that was behind everything smiled relieved and pleased with how her plan was processing.  But... First she had someone to talk to...  She raised her hand, murmured some words and closed her eyes. A loud, proud howl echoed some seconds later and the Goddess opened her eyes and turned smiling to the big, beautiful, white female wolf who was standing behind her. "My blessed daughter, my lovely child, my Beth, welcome!" she said with her soft, angelic voice and smiled warmly with affection. Beth bowed her head with respect and then stood on her ground looking at the Goddess in the eyes with confidence and pride.  She knew her, she was her mother like every other magic creature's. She was not afraid, she knew she was blessed to be special from her and she was grateful for that honor. "My Beth, you and Blaire have done an amazing job. I am proud of you, even if you have suffered, you never harmed anyone, you were always kind. I won't let you be in pain anymore, I had enough, I was wrong but now it is the time to change this." The Luna explained softly with adoration in her eyes. "Beth, I have made my plan and it has already begun but... I want to inform YOU AND ONLY YOU. Do not tell Blaire..." she continued and stopped waiting for Beth's answer. Beth nodded after a second and bowed slowly with grace and calmness. "Yes my Luna." She said with determination. The Luna smiled satisfied and walked closer to Beth slowly. She stopped right in front of her and raised her hand above Beth's head. Golden stardust fell on her and a wave of energy filled her body, every cell she had and she sighed completed. "You are going back but soon you have to leave Blaire alone." The Luna stated and Beth opened her eyes widely in frustration. "Luna... How? She needs me, we are one and we have El and..." The Goddess raised her hand smiling and Beth stopped with a worried expression and a heart that was beating fast from fear. Leave Blaire alone? That meant death for her! "Trust me my child, we have to. Blaire has to decide on her own about your future. She needs to take the decision alone. Believe in me, you and Blaire. That's all we need..." the Luna adviced her with confidence. Beth just nodded, the Goddess sighed pleased and began explaining to her what was going to happen. "So, listen what is going to happen and be ready..." *********************** Hello everyone and welcome again!   This is 16th chapter and things are weird but soon they get weirder and guess what?
