Sawyer was still sat on the floor of the kitchen ten minutes after Selene had left him. He hadn’t moved. He was just staring blankly at the fridge opposite him. Her words had really hurt him, but after the initial sting and the realization that he had truly upset her with his actions and in the things he had said and assumed about her and Robin, he was now feeling numb again. It was the same feeling he had embraced back at the hotel when he was refusing to go back home with Elizabeth. Because feeling nothing was better than feeling angry, or upset.
