" Language Monika. What happens? "
Avantika asked her in concern.
" These bangles are so tight. I think you picked up the wrong size. "
" Hey"
Monika's friend Ridhima came inside the dressing room.
"Here let me help you, first apply this moisturiser on your skin, then try. See forcing things never help"
Monika nodded and Ridhima helped to wear her bangles.
" Monika, oh my darling, finally you're going to become darling of someone, congratulations." She showed happiness in her voice.
"Thank you Ridhima! I was waiting for you from so long" Monika took a relaxed breath upon seeing her best friend.
" No problem. I never knew that you liked Utkarsh from college days "
" It's not like that, he proposed me and I said yes that's it "
" it can't be like that, what about Tina? "
" Maybe she is going nuts that Utkarsh actually wants to marry me, not her. That little b***h always think that she's better than me"
"ah, not now Monika! today is your wedding, better not think about your sister today "
" hmm, anyways she is out of my picture now "
" It's good then, Are you ready for the night to please your husband to break the virgin tag of his badass wife? " Ridhima joked and smirked at her on seeing how her friend was getting tense.
"Ridhima. " Monika shushed her.
" Oh please! I am sure he definitely planned something special for the night and you should also have something special for him to see at night," Ridhima suggested winking at her.
" Oh my God Ridhima, don't discuss it now, as I am already so nervous. And please at least not in front of my mother" Monika was embarrassed when her mother packed the sexy undergarments in her suitcase by saying you're mature enough to not be shy about it.
" I am telling you now, that he is not gonna appreciate if you didn't stop making a fuss about s*x, not your thing" Ridhima whispered teasing her friend again. Monika shrugged
" Just drop this topic right now. I will see whatever we are gonna do in the night " she shushed her again.
"Ya, Time will tell !" She kissed her on the cheek and became ready to go.

They reached the wedding venue with her mother and some relatives.
The hall was nicely decorated with wallflowers and expensive glass decoration. The hall was crowded by mostly Utkarsh guests and from her side, there were very few people who she knew personally and her father's family. She can't ignore them today like any other day as her mother took the promise.
Monika met her stepsister Tina and Shanaya Kapoor and her mother Reena with a fake smile on her face and embraced them lovingly.
Then the beautiful group of the girl followed Monika towards the stage where Utkarsh was waiting for her in the wedding suit. The Red carpet paves her way to reach near the stage. Then she waited for Utkarsh to give his hand to help her to climb on the stage and photographers started capturing the sweet memory of their wedding.
She was looking down when Utkarsh held his hand for her to take. Nervously she took his hand and climbed up on the stage.
Photo session started, flashes of the camera were all she could see and concentrate on. She curled her fingers inside the palm to control her shivering hands.
Everything was so unreal. She looked at her soon to be husband and was looking decent, at the same time dashing ready for the compliments to take.
He was changed from the college days when he never misses a chance to portray a bad boy image. At that time he used to put so much gel to make spikes of his hair trying different hairstyles but now he combed his hair nicely for his gentleman image. Also, he looks different with the specs covering his mesmerizing eyes.
After some time she noticed her mother was escorting her father's family towards the stage. Monika wanted to shake her head in annoyance seeing the people who never behaved like even relatives to her. Everything was fake in her life. She hoped maybe now she can take a long break from this unhappy life.
They all gathered around Monika and Utkarsh giving poses on the stage. She saw Tina was putting extra effort to give a page 3 pose. And Why not soon she was going to do her debut in Bollywood films. She was looking stunning in that maroon red dress designed by Mani khan. She was a good actress giving smiles towards the camera while standing near Utkarsh behaving like they never knew each other before.
What a couple! She used to make a comment in her mind when they were in college. Suddenly she felt conscious of her looks and she hoped her makeup made her look even more beautiful when the comparison between the two sister media was going to be made.
She always knew she is prettier than Tina but when she thinks about Utkarsh she always reminds herself beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. She thought about Utkarsh, did his heart skip a beat when he saw her or when he held her hand even for a minute? Like she wants him to feel for her.
Then she saw Tina was holding a tray in front of her on which two rings were placed nicely decorated with rose petals.
Everything was not so traditional. They were supposed to get engaged first but because her mother was so eager to jump on the marriage, they planned to do engagement on the same day of marriage.
They exchange the rings and then Mala wearing ritual starts.
The time escaped like this then in a hurry, she had to get dressed in a sari for the final marriage ceremony.

Her father Suraj Kapoor and Avantika did her kanyadan. And followed by him Utkarsh put sindoor in her mang and then tied mangalsutra across her neck.
"From now on you are husband and wife"
