" Suraj please, Today is your daughter's wedding, so you have to take some responsibility. "
" Really! Today your arrogant daughter wants me to be a part of her family? "
" Omg Suraj! this is not the time to bring up your differences with your daughter. Look I am not asking for much. Just handle the guests at the wedding palace, that's all you have to do as her loving father. "
" Ok " Suraj replied dryly.
" You love her right? " She knew he was saying it just for formality so she had to remind him again and again what a loving father must do.

Avantika smiled to herself quitting the phone call and went to help her daughter to get dressed for her wedding ceremony. She didn't want her daughter to look lesser than any Bollywood celebrity. She arranged the expensive designer outfits and jewelry for her daughter to shine the status of being a celebrity's daughter.
Everything had to perfect according to her and her rivalries. Media news must not stop covering the fine details of the wedding. Wedding news was like a reputation on stake, the more you spend the bigger status you have.
To make it even more perfect she begged her ex-husband Suraj Kapoor to be present on the behalf of his daughter's side on this auspicious occasion. She begged her daughter Monika also to not ignore her father and his family as well. So that the media won't question or make news about their personal life. Not even a single negative should be captured.
Avantika knew that her daughter needed to get married before Avantika lost her name fame from the media world. It was just the start of her next generation and there are more generations to come which should always admire Avantika as to worshipped for changing their fate. Otherwise they will be struggling all their life to reach this status which she had now.
Marriage was all for her daughter's security. She hoped she took the right decision for her daughter, who needs to be part of this page 3 world and always to be counted in the celebrity category as well.
She wished her daughter to become a supermodel like her mother to start her career but her daughter never agreed to it. She preferred to stay away from the glamorous Bollywood industry and media life. Because the grass is always greener on the other side.
" Hey do it properly my daughter should look like an angel walking in the ceremony " Avantika instructed makeup artists.
" Monika, my baby, you're looking gorgeous my child, no need to worry! " Avantika told her nervous looking daughter who was fiddling with her dress so much. Because her mother's actions and expectations made her feel conscious about her appearance and decision.
Monika was feeling very anxious wearing her wedding dress as the desultory emotions were crossing her mind. She hoped she took the right decision by saying yes to a person who her step-sister once wished to marry in the college days.
Earlier she was so much confused surrounded by so many doubts when her mother informed that Utkarsh said yes for the marriage proposal but on the other side she also wanted to marry him because he has everything that she can imagine in her would be. A social status, name, fame and most importantly he was away from the Bollywood gossiping world.
Also if she was not forgetting the fact that Utkarsh was the same person who in college used to bully her for what she is. He used to be a college stud, who had an easy go lucky attitude. College girls used to swoon over for him. But he was rumoured to be taken by her stepsister. Although they never openly admitted. Considering they were best friends for forever, who you find always to be seen together, who eats together, drinks together, studies together...ugh...
So she met him one day to clear her doubtful thoughts about him and he just simply replied to her by saying that he doesn't see any reason for saying no to the marriage proposal.
That's all that she wanted to know and he said that himself.
Also for Monika that was the best opportunity to show her unforgiving father's family that they are better than any of them.
First, Avantika was surprised that 'The Karan Wadhwan' the successful businessman showed any kind of interest in her daughter for his dear son after she thought that their little affair had just started catching the flames. But then she realized that it's her daughter's fortune which she couldn't put on stake, so she considered it and why not!
Also, she wanted her daughter to become the talk of the buzz about getting married in THE Wadhwan family' just like the other celebrities who are desperately waiting in the line to become the part of 'THE Wadhwan Family ' anyhow.
All of her rivalries and relatives must be jealous of her after the marriage that pumped her ego much. Avantika smirked imagining their jealous faces in the royal wedding of her daughter.
On the other hand Monika smiled upon looking at her reflection in the mirror after getting final touch ups by the makeup artist. Her hair was styled in a double braid bun. Her Red gown was so beautiful with a heart shaped neck and a beautiful diamond necklace complementing it. Her mother showed her thumbs up for looking pretty and ready.

Monika cursed when the tight bangles bruised her skin when she was trying to wear it by force.
