Chapter 1: I'm pregnant

When Alpha Hunter gazed at me a couple of times with his gray eyes, I felt like I had swallowed my own tongue. No words wanted to come out of my mouth. My body is almost stiff, and I feel like I'm going to lose my trance at any moment. He rose from his seat and leaned slightly on his desk. One of his eyebrows arched as the edge of his lips lifted. That added a strong aura to his appearance to make him more attractive to my eyes. He is indeed handsome, like a Greek god in a book. His appearance is very different now compared to when we met at the pub. If he used to have a bad attitude and a black aura, now he looks respectable and is obviously feared by everyone as their respected leader. Maybe because there was no alcohol in his body or maybe because he was inside his packed house and he was forced to act like a nobleman here. He glanced at me several times. Based on his reaction, he appeared to be unfamiliar with me, as if we had never met.

Wait a minute, do those eyes mean he doesn't know me? Come on, we shared a heated night in the alley near the pub.

He was holding the form that Beta Monroe had instructed me to fill out before. I was in his opulent office. I woke up as early as I could to arrive here early too, but I wasn't prepared for the long line of individuals hoping to be his Luna outside his office. That's why it was almost noon when I entered his office. I still thought that if I was here early, I would be able to go home immediately to catch up on sleep. I went to work last night, and I only slept for about two hours. I stared at the extended line behind me once my name was called to enter Alpha's office. That's when I realized that the new Alpha of the Moonray pack might be charismatic, or else the girls wouldn't like him to be their husband. Some of them were from popular packs in the town as well. Trying to gain his attention and risking their lives to awaken his inner wolf and be his potential mate, just like me.

"Dixie Alyson?"

OMG, his voice is also different, even though it is not raspy now, as far as I remember.

I slowly nodded, wanting to say yes, but I couldn't open my mouth. I was still stunned. My ambition to be his Luna in the future increased. I'm already persuaded that he belongs in my life. He's also the real deal when it comes to my future husband. He is strong, charismatic, gorgeous, seductive, and hot, and he is exceptionally good in bed. For a brief moment, I forgot why I was here.

"Twenty years old, and you are from Shoreline Pack?" he added, still looking at the paper.

I swallowed hard.

Do I keep pretending I have a pack, or should I tell him the truth? I'll just say it now because he'll undoubtedly find out about it in the future.

"I am rogue and left the pack of my own free will."

He fixed his gaze on me countless times. I simply used the name of my previous pack as a reference. According to his Beta, Monroe, rogues just like me will be instantly eliminated when we declare that we have no pack and will not have an opportunity to meet their Alpha. And that desire to lie about my details drives me to be able to see him and tell him my main mission.

It's not bad to tell a white lie, especially when it's necessarily needed, isn't it?

"Are you kidding me? What nonsense is this? How did you manage to get in if you didn't even have a pack?" His voice echoed in the room, sounding like a loud thunderstorm in the middle of a typhoon. His eyes were also lit in anger, and he seemed to change to his wolf form and appearance at any time. I can already sense his annoyance with me now. "Get out before I beat you to death!" He ripped my form into pieces and threw it to the floor. "Can't you hear what I'm saying? Get out of my sight! Now!"

I did not waver at his actions, despite the fact that the sound of his voice made every nerve in my flesh tremble. I will not give up. Would I consider giving up right now that I'm in front of him? He must have overheard my explanation. I have no other choice than to inform him about my pregnancy, and only through this selection! If there is anyone who is going to be mad at the two of us, it should be me because he got me pregnant! I'll admit that I succumbed to the warmth of his touch, and it made me feel like the most important woman in the universe, but that didn't mean I was the only one who had to suffer. He needs to help me with this matter.

I took a deep breath as I clenched both of my fists to have courage.

I need to tell him my true intentions before he even forces me to leave!

"I-I am pregnant, and you are the father of my child," I stated while holding my stomach, despite the fact that my belly bump was not yet visible. I know he won't believe me, but I'm willing to go to any length to ensure that he remembers that night in bed with me. I am willing to do anything, even if we have to reenact what we did that night. When I came here, I was determined to do everything in my power to ensure that he would accept me as his Luna in the future. And I will use our child as that stepping stone to be with him, not because I want to get out of poverty, but because I've always wanted him. Since everything that happened to us, I've been dreaming about him every night. And I know he's my mate because I couldn't say no to his appeal to my own body that night, as though my inner wolf was reacting to his touch throughout the entire mating process. "Alpha Hunter, did you hear what I said? Have you forgotten about our one-night stand at the pub? This was the result. I’m pregnant with our child."
