"Thank goodness you're here, Daniel. I'm scared to death." Frank met me in the hallway of the hospital. His whole face was red with some bloodstains across his chest and his bloody hands were shaking like crazy.
"What really happened, Frank and where's Austin?" I asked, trying to mask the fact that I had run all the way up there without a single thought. I had climbed about a hundred stairs after refusing to wait for the elevator as it took a group of kids to the sixth floor of the hospital.
"He's in the intensive care unit." Frank stuttered, pointing to one of the rooms which was adjacent to where we were standing.
