I drove the kids to the next city without Alyssa. She was very adamant and when she makes up her mind, almost nothing can change it. I smiled to myself when I remembered that.
"Uncle, so you really will buy us the mega sundae?" Justin asked from the backseat and I smiled.
"No. In fact, I want to buy you guys something more special than what I promised to make up for being late today." I stared at them through the rearview mirror since both of them chose to sit together in the backseat.
"Really?"
"Yes. It's called frozen Haute chocolate and it's made with the world's most expensive ingredients."
"Wow, we'd love to try it," Austin said with a big smile; just like his mother.
