9. First kiss

After Leo left, I couldn't help but think about the reasons why he would like me. I tried every possibility, but I just couldn't understand why. I know I like him more than just a friend but I guess I need a little more time to process everything. I am new to these kinda feelings. I want to be sure of them before I come clean to him. I know he will respect and understand my decision. 

As my parents aren't home I decided to order pizza and binge watch supernatural. I need to find a distraction and Sam seems the perfect one to gush over. I pick up the phone to call the cafe down the road but the bell rings. I groan slightly and open the door and see a mop of blonde hair. 

"What the hell John?!", I shriek and step back, placing a hand on my heart to calm it down. John rubs the back of his neck and looks at me sheepishly while the others just laugh. 

"I am sorry but you were taking so much time so I tried seeing through the peep hole", he laughs and hugs me before entering inside and others follow. The girls give me hugs too and squeeze me tight before settling on the couch. Leo lingers behind and kisses me discretely on the cheek. He winks at me and then settles on the love seat.  

"Hazel, we are going clubbing tonight!", Nina exclaims while the others look at me expectantly. 

"What?", I look at her with wide eyes and Leo places his hand on mine, slightly calming me down. 

"I have never been clubbing before", I admit in a low, embarrassed voice while the others except Harriet and Leo look kinda shocked. 

Nina squeals and hugs me tight, surprising the hell out of me.

"You are going to have so much fun then! I will make sure you do! Now lets go get ready, okay?", she says and pulls me on my feet. No wonder the boys are looking very handsome today. 

"Hold on, I don't have a dress, Nina", I say and she laughs and winks at me. 

"I am one step ahead of you. Harriet said the same thing so I brought you an extra. You can thank me later".

"Boys, we will be up and if you need us, don't call", Linn says while Priya laughs and high fives her. 

"We will just order pizza and chill till you guys are ready but please don't take too long or I swear I will barge in and pull you guys out", Mark says while Nina shows him the finger and we run upstairs. 

"We will get you ready first Hazel, okay? Leo wouldn't be able to take his eyes off of you", Priya winks at me and others smirk while I blush like a freaking tomato.

"You think we missed how he purposely sat on the two seat while there was a place beside Jason? 

The dress that Nina brought was black and sparkly, not what I would ever prefer to wear but there's always a first time. Nina kept my make up to minimum but did a smokey eye and applied red lipstick which looks really bold. Linn curled my hair in beachy waves and let them down my back. I look really good after they were done and even though this was my first time wearing this kind of dress, I felt comfortable. 

Linn, Priya, Nina and Harriet look absolutely gorgeous. Nina wore a beautiful bottle green dress that reached just below her thighs while Linn prefered to go with a short shorts and a sequin halter neck top, Harriet wore a dress too which is a dark blue and has long sleeves. Priya wore a beautiful short skirt paired with a plain black halter neck top. All in all, we looked sexy yet beautiful. 

We all took dozens of pictures together as well as alone. I sent some to my parents letting them know about my plans. My mom gushed about all of us looking absolutely stunning but dad and Ace were being really protective and asked us to tell the boys to look after us. 

Finally we got inside the car. Me, Leo, Harriet and Jason in one car with Leo driving and others in Mark's. I sit in the front while the two sat in the back. I turn on the radio and 'Nice to meet ya' by Niall Horan starts playing. I turn up the volume and start singing. Harriet and Jason join me right after and we sing more like yell off the beat at the top of our lungs. Leo continues laughing his ass off and tells us how terrible we all sound which we ignored ofcourse.

After five songs we reached the club and I stood stunned. The club was huge, beautifully decorated from outside and  two bouncers stood guarding the door and checking for passes. Linn gives them the VIP passes and they let us in immediately. Nina, Mark, John and Linn skip towards the bar while we four walk at a normal pace. Jason and Harriet are in front of us, talking. Leo walks beside me taking my hand in his.

"You look really beautiful tonight Hazel", he says kisses my cheek while a blush like a freaking tomato. 

"Thank you. You don't look bad either", I say with a lopsided smile and he laughs, shaking his head. Leo is wearing a navy blue t-shirt which fits him like a second skin and a black jeans. On top of that he is also wearing a black jacket which earns him a lot of brownie points. He looks absolutely handsome and its difficult for me keep my eyes off of him.   

"Lets go and join the others", I say, clearing my throat. He continues staring at me but we start walking towards the group. 

"I thought you guys ditched us to-", before Mark could complete his sentence, Jason hit the back of his head making him swat his arm away while rubbing the sore spot. 

"What the f**k man?!"

"We all know what you were about to say", John says smiling towards us and offers us the two empty seats. 

"What are we having?", Linn asks. 

"Lets start of with shots?", Nina asks while looking at all of. 

"I can't drink", Harriet says. Everyone looks at her understandingly. I was about to deny drinking too to give her company but Jason beats me to it. 

"I'm staying sober too. I am the designated driver so Leo you can drink buddy", he pats on Leo's back and smiles at Harriet who blushes like crazy. 

"Me too", John says. 

"We all know Mark is going to get blackout drunk", everyone laughs while Mark just nods his head in agreement. 

Nina orders shots for us and soda foe the other three. 

"This is your first time drinking?", Leo asks me in a low voice ad I nod slightly embarrassed. As if he could read my mind, he places his hand on mine and assures me its nothing to be embarrassed about. We all down the shots quickly and we girls go to the dance floor. 

The song 'Don't Stop the Music' by Rihanna started playing. We made our way towards the middle of the dance floor and started swaying to the beats. I finally let myself enjoy and let loose. Dancing is one of the things that I absolutely enjoy. We all were having really fun. I look towards the bar and Leo was staring right at me. I felt the alcohol take over my sane side and I started swaying looking right in his eyes. I maintained the eye contact for a few more minutes and then turned away. 

The song ended and as I was about to head back, Linn caught a hold of my hand. 

"Girl, you can dance so well!", she exclaimed and I laughed.  SHe told e to stay for another song I agreed.

'Party in the U.S.A' by Miley Cyrus started playing we cheered loudly. This is one of my favourite party songs. As I was busy dancing, someone came behind me and started dancing. His hands slid around my waist, feeling me up. If I was sober, I would have pushed his hands away and maybe even slapped him but I wasn't sober so I did the most stupid thing I could ever do, I started grinding. 

This continued for like a few minutes until he was ripped away from me. I turned around to see a livid Leo about to punch that guy who was nothing compared to him. I quickly placed my hand on Leo's arm to stop him from hurting the guy. 

"Leo, let go of him please", I looked at him with pleading eyes. He looked at me for what seemed like an hour, his breathing heavy. He finally let go the guy's collar and he ran off like a scared puppy. Leo grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit. 

"We are leaving. Meet you guys at Hazel's", saying so, he dragged me out of the club towards his car. He didn't have much to drink and he was sober enough to drive. He buckled me in the passenger seat and started driving towards my house. 

"Leo?", I looked at him with hooded eyes. I have seen him this angry once during our encounter with Stacy. 

"Not now Hazel", he said through gritted teeth and I nodded. I didn't want to push anymore of his buttons tonight. 

In no time, we parked in front of my house we got out. He unlocked the door as I had given him the key earlier tonight before leaving. He slammed the door after I got inside, making me jump.

"What the hell was that Hazel?!", he asked in an angry voice but I could sense the hurt behind it. He let down his guard and I can see how much that hurt him. 

I took a step towards him and placed my hands on his cheeks. I stared deep in his eyes before speaking. 

"I am sorry. I don't know what came over me. I didn't mean for that to happen, Leo. I am sorry I ruined our night. I really am", tears pooled in the corner of my eyes and voice broke. 

He sighed heavily before resting his forehead on mine and sighing again, probably trying to calm down. 

"I know you didn't  and you did not ruin the night, I did. If I had just asked him to leave without trying to punch him, we would still be having fun", he said and I immediately shake my head in disbelief.

"It's not your fault, you need to understand that", I said and looked him in the eyes and making sure he understood that. He finally nodded his head and gave up. I smiled victoriously and took a step back. 

"Who said we can't have fun here? Give me a few minutes to change and we can have a movie night", I said with a huge smile and was about to turn around when he pulled me towards him and kissed me. On the lips. I couldn't fathom that Leo was kissing me. His lips were soft and he was about to pull away when I finally got over the initial shock and kissed him back. I gave myself into the kiss. I knew right there and then what my answer was going to be to the question he asked. I liked him and he has to know that. 

We broke apart breathing heavily. He rested his forehead against mine again. His eyes were still closed but he had a smile in his face. 

"Hazel, please tell me this kiss meant something to you", he almost begged me and I couldn't help but smile and nod my head. 

"Of course it did Leo. I like you too. Not just as friends of course", I said and the smile on his grew and he kissed me again and kissed him back, pouring all my feelings into it. We broke apart and he held my hand in his. 

"Hazel Campbell, would you do the honor of going on the date with me?", he asked with a cheeky smile and laughed blushing profusely. 

"Yes I will", saying so I pecked him on the cheek and left to change while a smile was permanently itched on my face.
