Chapter 6

Pagpasok ko sa loob ng sasakyan ay ibinaba ko kaagad ang bintana para maka kaway kanila Manang Lorna at makapag paalam, umiiyak sila kumaway sa akin habang papalayo kami ni Mang Gardo.

“Ma’am saan po tayo pupunta?” tanong sa akin ni Mang Gardo.

Na pa buntong hininga ako bago sumagot sa kanya.

“Mang Gardo paki hatid nalang po ako sa pinakamalapit na five star hotel. Ayos na po ako roon,” sagot ko kay Mang Gardo.

Hay nako Psyche Estella! Hindi ko na talaga alam sa sarili ko! Argh! Ganito pala yung feeling ng naglalayas lalo na pag alam mo sa sarili mong wala kang pupuntahan.

My relatives don’t like me, they hates me just like my Dad hates me lalo na sa side ni Mommy dahil nga ako din ang may kasalanan sa paningin nila, actually sa paningin ng lahat ako ang may kasalanan at ako ang dapat na namatay kaya din siguro hindi na ako lumapit sa kahit kanino sa kanila.

I know that I probably deserve all their hate kaya sabi ko nalang din sa sarili ko na I’ll take whatever they throw at me.

“Ma’am Ela, dito po sa Heiran Hotel okay na po ba dito sa inyo?” tanong ni Mang Gardo sa akin.

Agad naman akong tumango sa kanya.

Like I said anywhere is fine with me for the mean time I have to refresh my mind para makapag desisyon ako wisely kung saan ko ba gustong pumunta at dapat pumunta. I don’t have any concrete plan in my mind right now. I badly need one or else sa kangkungan akong talaga pupulutin.

Pagpasok ko sa reception area nakilala agada ko nung manager ng hotel kaya mabilis nya akong dinaluhan.

“Good day Miss Psyche Trinidad, what a pleasant surprise! Would you like to be assisted in the VIP lounge?” agad na sab isa akin ng baklang manager.

Of course what a pleasant surprise talaga!

Panong hindi sya masusurprise eh may sariling pagmamay ari na hotel ang pamilya namin. Yes the main company of the Trinidad Empire are firearms manufacturing but we do have our subsidiaries like real estate and hotels. We also own a hospital and some chains of convenience store here in Cebu. Technically, our family is one of the most influential and powerful families here in Cebu.

My Dad is well known here for being the Shark in the business world. Hindi naman galing sa mayamang pamilya ang Daddy ko, ang mas nakaka angat talaga sa kanila ay ang family ni Mommy but Dad’s passion and dedication to provide a better life for my mom and our family made him the best businessman in town. He was able to make an empire out of his small business.

“Yes please,” maikling sagot ko sa baklang manager.

Agad naman nya akong iginiya sa VIP Lounge.

“This way Miss,” naka ngiti nyang sab isa akin.

Agad naman din akong sumunod sa kanya.

“Please have a seat Miss. Would you like to have some tea or a wine perhaps?” tanong ulit sa akin ng Manager.

Agad akong umiling sa kanya.

“No, I’d like to get a room now. Get me the luxury suite. The most spacious and most comfortable that you have. I only want the best like what I’ve said I want the ‘most’.” Ulit ko pa sa kanya.

Na pa tango tango naman ang manager.

“Uhm Miss Trinidad I am sorry to say this but, the Luxury suite is currently occupied.” Sagot nya sa akin.

Na pa taas naman ang kilay ko sa sinabi.

“What do you mean? Don’t tell me you only have one luxury suite? What the hell?” naiiritang sabi ko sa kanya.

Parang na taranta naman kaagad ang Manager.

“I am so sorry Miss Trinidad but Yes po, since you want the best and the most of them all the most and the best suite of the Hotel po is currently occupied.” Sabi ng Manager sa akin habang medyo nauutal pa.

Na pa irap nalang ako sa sinabi nya.

“I’ll double the price just get me that room and make sure that every single s**t is changed and the whole room is sanitized.” I said to him just to shut him up.

“I’ll see what I can do po Miss Trinidad,” he said a bit trembling.

I just nodded at him.

Heiran Hotel is actually known for its services to the Elite alam ko naman na puro pang alta-sociedad ang nag-ccheck in sa Hotel na to I just didn’t though that their best suite will be occupied. It was kind of my habit, or maybe my attitude. I always want to be the best and only wants the best.

Maybe because I was never even good enough in the eyes of my own father so outside that  mansion I want to be someone who is far from the Psyche at the Trinidad mansion. I wanted to be someone with power and intelligence. I want to be the best.

I graduated with Latin Honors from Stanford University and topped the Board Examination for Accountancy.  At the age of twenty two I am the youngest Chief Financial Officer of one of the prestigious Company in the Philippines.

I made sure that I will be the best in everything that I do, because that is how I see my worth and validation, and dahil na din doon hindi ako basta bastang kinayan kayanan ng pamilya namin at ng ibang tao kasi kahit pa alam nil ana galit sakin ang Daddy ko alam pa din nil ana hindi ako basta bastang tao.

My achievements and intelligence has been both my shield and my power.

After five minutes the Manager rushed towards me, medyo pale yung itsura nya at mukhang kinakabahan.

“Miss Trinidad I am so sorry and I am afraid to say this but the current occupant of the  luxury room refused your offer. But I asked all the staffs here to prepare the Dimitri Room for you it is the room intended for the owner himself,” the manager told me a bit trembling.

Na pa irap naman ako. But then ayoko nang maglakad pa pabalik sa parking lot at isa pa I will not be staying here in my entire life pwede na to kaysa umalis pa ako ulit.

And besides he said that the room is only intended for Dimitri Heiran himself so it must be pretty good.

“Okay. I’ll take that room then.” Sagot ko sa kanya.

Agad naman na nabuhayan ng loob ang manager at masayang ngumiti.

“That’s great! The room is ready na po. I’ll have someone to accompany you.” He said to me.

I immediately shook my head.

“You don’t have to, just make them take my things. And tell me the floor and room number.” I answered to him.

I honestly want to be alone right now I feel like I don’t want to be with anyone else.

Na pa tango naman agad yung manager.

“Oh okay of course Miss Trinidad, what ever you say shall be followed. So room is on the 14th floor. You will see the DIMITRI sign on its door. Actually that floor only have two rooms and that is exactly the luxury room and the DIMITRI room.” Agad na sa sagot nya sa akin.

“You can use the executive elevator Miss Trinidad since it is solely intended for that floor po.” Magalang na sabi pa sa akin ulit ng manager.

I smiled at him a bit and nodded.

“Thanks, Mr. Reyes.” Sabi ko sa kanya habang binabasa ang pangalan nya sa name plate sa dibdib nya.

Ngumiti ito at mas umaliwalas ang mukha.

“Its my pleasure to be of service to you ma’am. And oh by the way,  we prepared a rose bloom bath for you. We assumed you liked the smell of rose bloom ma’am. Take it as a welcome remarks from the Heiran Hotel to the Trinidad Empress.” Naka ngiti na sabi nya ulit sa akin.

I cant help but smile a bit.

“You did your research huh? Well then thank you!” I commended him and then got up to go to my room.

He immediately accompanied me on the way to the elevator.
