Chapter 19

It only took me like an hour and a half to get ready. Hindi na ako masyadong nageffort na magmake up at magayos ng buhok or what so ever, I just blow dried my hair put some light make up on and then I went outide na.

Nakita ko si Damon na naka tayo sa tapat ng family picture namin agad ko naman syang nilapitan at itinaob ang family picture na tinitignan nya.

“Who you told you to roam around my condo?” masungit na sabi ko sa kanya at saka sya tinignan ng masama.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero nginisihan nya lang ako na para bang expected nya yung magiging reaction ko sa kanya at para bang alam nya ng magagalit ako.

One tmore thing parang natutuwa pa syang nakikitang nagagalit ako.

Instead of wasting my time talking to him I got my Dior bag and get ready to go.  Luckily paglabas ko naman ng condo kasunod ko na sya. But when I was about to walk bigla nya akong pinigilan.

“Bakit?” walang emosyong tanong ko sa kanya.

He didn’t answered but instead he got the bag from my shoulder and then walked passed me.

Sa tootoo lang the bag was kinda heavy, may mga damit kasi akong dal ana baka kailanganin at saka make up na din. I also brought some light snacks and hygiene kits incase na biglang kailanganina na mag over night.

I was born and raised in Cebu kaya hindi ako masyadong familiar dito sa places in Manila but if I have my personal driver na hindi na siguro magiging ganoon kahirap.

I looked at Damon’s back. Pinagtitinginan na sya ng mga nadadaanan naming na tao kasi hindi nya talaga bagay yung bag na dala dala nya. But I don’t really think that the were looking at the bag.

I am not stupid, hindi din naman ako ipokrita kung tatanongin ako kung guwapo si Damon. I’ll answer Yes right away cause that’s true. Guwapo naman talaga sya but if you will ask me kung type ko ba sya? I’ll answer no right away dahil gaya nga ng sabi ko I am not easily impressed but facial features, or physical characteristics what I like in a guy is someone with a substance.

“Hey.” Nagulat nalang ako nung bigla syang huminto at nagsalita muntikan pa nga akong mabangga sa likuran nya dahil occupied ata ako ng pagiisip.

“Be careful.” Tipid na sabi nya pa ulit sa akin.

I cleared my throat before talking.

“What?” sagot ko naman sa kanya.

He removed his coat and now he is only wearing his black polo. He immediately placed the coat around my shoulders.

Agad kong naamoy yung pabango na naamoy ko sa kanya before sa gym sa heiran. It smelled familiar and I instantly recognized the smell.

“Wear my coat, masyadong manipis ang suot mo everyone is looking at you didn’t you noticed? Do you like guys ogling at you?”  naiiritang sabi nya sa akin.

Na pa taas naman ako ng kilay sa sinabi nya.

“Excuse me? This is a channel top. It is not manipis you call that design you idiot.” Iritang sabi ko din sa kanya at saka umamba na ibabalik ang coat nya.

I am wearing a channel semi crop top, its pure white just like what Florence told me. I haad to wear a simple white shirt and denim jeans. I don’t really have a white shirt. I don’t wear shirts. Kaya I settled in this channel crop top pwede na to and I look decent naman din.

Akala ko tatanggapin ni Damon yung coat nya na binabalik ko sa kanya but instead of taking it ibinalik nya yon sa balikat ko at nagpatiuna na ulit na nag lakad.

Ang attitude talaga ng lalaking to!!!

He stopped for awhile and then I saw him talking on his phone.

“Great. I am going now.” That’s what I heard him say before looking at me.

“Sobrang traffic ngayon sa EDSA, we wont be able to get there on time.” Sabi nya sa akin.

I looked at my watch and realized that it is almost 10 in the morning and kung traffic nga sa edsa napaka imposible na makarating kami sa Tagaytay ng nasa oras.

Traffic in Edsa is like part of the Philippine history even though I used to live in Cebu there are times na I had to go here in manila for meetings or summit and EDSA is being EDSA. I had to ride a chopper pa before dahil nga sobrang toxic ng traffic sa EDSA.

“What should we do now? Kailangan makaabot ako sa screening! God! Kung hindi mo kasi ako binwisit bwisit kanina edi sana hindi ako nagsayang ng oras na kausapin ka?! Gosh! You know what this is all your fault!” naiinis na sabi ko sa kanya.

He just laughed a litt;ed before he turned back again to me.

“Excuse me lady, if I remember it correctly you didn’t even spend a minute there talking to me and now you’re blaming me? Kasalanan ko ba na ang tagal mong gumayak at maligo?” natatawang sabi nya sa akin.

Na pa isip naman tuloy ako sa sarili kung matagal nga akong maligo. And yeah maybe a bit. I love soaking in water it calms me.

“Kahit na! kung hindi ka nagcrash sa condo ko edi sana naka gayak na ako kaagad. Alam mo ikaw sa tuwing nakikita kita hindi ko alam kung anong klaseng kamalasan ba ang taglay mo saken. You do what you need to do to get yourself there and I’ll find a way for myself okay?! Bye!” sigaw ko sa kanya at saka ko hinablot yung bag ko.

Akala ko naman bibitawan nya din kaagad yung bag ko pag kinuha ko pero hindi nay yun binitawan and instead hinawakan nya pa ng mahigpit.

He removed my hand and then fixed his coat in my shoulder.

“I already found a way for us so shut up. If you wanna get there in time, you need to shut your mouth and just follow me.” He said bossing me around.

I was about to tell him na ako na ang bahala sa buhay ko dahil sino ba naman sya para utusan ako nung biglang nagbeep yung phone ko.

I saw a message from Florence he’s telling me that he is already on his way to Tagaytay and he cant wait to see me.

Na pa hilot nalang ako sa sintido ko. Ugh!

Nagiisip pa ako kung ano ang irereply ko kay Florence when Damon grabbed my hand and led me to the elevator.

“Nagmamadali ka di ba? Wag ka ng maginarte and besides Maui will definitely skin me alive she finds out that you didn’t get on your screening on time.” He said while looking at his watch.

Hindi nya pa din binibitawan yung kamay ko but I don’t know why I wasn’t able to tell anything about it until we get at the roof top.

Pagdating naming sa roof top binitawan nya na yung kamay ko tapos nauna na syang maglakad, and thank God! He really found a way to get there on time. It will only take an hour or  maybe less than an hour to get to Tagaytay.

Nauna nang naglakad si Damon papalapit sa chopper and ganon din ako. The male crew smiled at me and greet me good morning.

“Good morning po Ma’am,” naka ngiti na sabi ng crew sa akin.

“Good morning too,” bati ko naman dito.

Yes, isa siguro yun sa mga bagay na gusto ko talagang maimprove ko yung pagiging people friendly. I wasn’t the typical scary boss but hindi din ako gaanong friendly sa empleyado I don’t know why probably because that is also how I saw my dad treating his employees.

Hindi ko nga din alam kung noon lang ba sya nagging ganoon sa empleydao noong namatay sina mommy at kuya or even before they died. I don’t know, pero yun yung naka gisnan ko sa kanya kaya yun din siguro ang na adapt ko pero hindi ako kasing hostile ni Dad I was able to have a harmonious though not so open relationship with my finance team in the Trinidad’s.

I saw the male crew offering his hand to me to help me as I get inside the chopper kaya kukuhanin ko n asana yung kamay nya para safe ang pagsakay ko but then I also saw Damon quickly getting my hand.

“You don’t touch her hand not even her fingertips.” He said to the crew and then grabbed my hand.

Tinignan nya yung crew na para bang nagbabanta sya.

I was taken a back but also wasn’t able to say something.

I really don’t know why but he always makes me speechless.
