Chapter 18

He is looking dashing in his black suit naka pamulsa pa ang kamay habang parang bored na bored na naka tingin sa akin.

I looked at him with surprise honestly surprised talaga ang itsura ko dahil sino ba naman ang magaakala na andito sya ngayon sa harap ko.

“Are you stalking me?!” naiinis na sabi ko sa kanya.

But instead of listening to me mabilis nyang hinablot ang kamay ko at hinila ako papasok ng unit ko.

“You don’t open your door only wearing robe lady.” Naiinis na sabi nya sa akin.

Huh??? Hindi kaagad ako nakapag react sa sinabi nya.

Nung nakita ko syang umupo sa couching looking at me as if he was enjoying what he was seeing bigla akong parang natauhan at agad ko syang tinignan ng masama.

“Who are you to tell me that?” mataas ang kilay na sagot ko sa kanya.

“At sino naman ang nagsabi sayon a pwede kang pumasok sa condo ko without my permission? You are such a stalker!” galit na sabi ko sa kanya.

Ngumiti lang sya sa akin at saka nagbuklat ng mga magazines sa table ko.

Inis na inis na hinablot ko sa kanya yung magazine na hawak hawak nya ayoko pa naman talaga ng kapag kinakausap ko hindi ako pinapansin naiirita ako ng sobraa arrgh!!

What a way to start my day right?

“Will you please get out of my condo or else I will call the security.” Pagbabanta ko sa kanya.

He just laughed a little with what I said.

“Just get dressed will you? Hindi ka dapat nagbubukas ng pinto ng ganyan lang ang soot. And don’t you know that you can view who’s ringing your door over there? Wala bang ganyan sa mansion nyo mahal na prinsesa?” nanunuyang sabi nya sa akin habang itinuturo yung security monitor sa gilid ng pintuan ko.

Pakiramdam ko mas lalo akong naiinis sa mga pinagsasasabi nya sa akin.

“Just please get the hell out okay? I have an important thing to do today wala akong panahon sa estrangherong katulad mo.” Walang ganang sagot ko sa kanya.

He placed the magazine back at the table and then crossed his arms on his chest and then looked at me.

“A stranger huh? This stranger saved your pretty little ass twice you didn’t even said thank you and now you are calling me a stranger? I bet you know my name.” mayabang na sagot nya sa akin.

I rolled my eyes at him.

Saan kaya humuhugot ng kayabangan tong taong to.

Sa totoo lang kahit pa sabihin nating may itsura sya hindi lahat ng babae nadadaan sa istura itsura lang.

“Yes you are Mr. p*****t now get lost.” Naiiritang sabi ko sa kanya.

Sasagot pa sana sya pero biglang nagring yung phone ko and then I saw Maureen’s name on the screen.

I immediately picked it up, I am really worried about her. Kahit kalian hindi ko pa nakitang ganoon kalungkot si Maureen I have been used to seeing her happy and jolly. I feel bad kasi na realize ko that she’s been there for me during those times na I feel so down, she even consider me as her bestfriend before pero ako ay parang hjindi manlang nagging mabuting kaibigan sa kanya I want to mae up for my failure as her friend.

“Hello? Maureen?! God! I waited for your call last night! How are you?! Let’s see each other later!” sunod sunod kong sab isa kanya.

She chuckled a bit on the other line.

“I am fine, I am so sorry you had to go last night pasensya ka na I ruined our night.” Malungkot na sabi nya sa akin sa kabilang llinya.

I shooked my head even though she cant really see me.

“Its okay ano ka ba. Nothing is ruined I had fun last night except for that part of course. But I am more worried about you. Do you wanna talk about it? Let’s see each other later okay? I just have to attend a screening in your modelling agency thanks for referring me by the way,” sabi ko sa kanya.

Akala ko talaga Maureen is just joking me when she said that she will send a picture of mine to their talent scout and nung isang araw nya lang ata yun ibinigay pero yesterday ay tinawagan na ako kaagad ng talent agency. I actually thought that Maureen works in just a random not so popular modelling agency because ayaw nya din naman masyadong maging open sa public and isa pa wala din kasi akong panahon para magbrowse ng mga magazines before or even watch tv kaya wala akong kalam alam talaga.

But the company that called me is the Aces and Quins modelling agency actually the company collaborate with different popular and luxury brands inside and outside of the country. I was so so happy that I already had this chance atleast I have something to do while I figure out what I really wanted to do with my life.

“Oh God! I told you Florence would die to have you in her team!” masayang masayang sabi ni Maureen sa akin.

Natawa naman ako sa sinabi nya,.

“I actually thought that you were just joking, nagulat nalang din ako that she called me yesterday to inform me na may screening nga daw today. And I was supposed to tell you this last night kaya lang I forgot and then things happened nga. Thank you so much Maureen! I really appreciate everything!” I sincerely said to her.

Maureen happily laughed.

“Anything for you! Let’s see each other later  and oh nga pala nabanggit ko kasi last night to Damon na isa ka nga sa napiling model na mapasama sa screening para sa launch ng bagong nyang wine distillery company, and nagoffer sya na isabay ka nalang nya kasi hindi o sure kung nasabi na sayo ni Florence pero sa tagatay ang location ng screening. But don’t worry I am dead sure na for formalities lang naman ang screening na iyon. At siguradong ikaw ang makukuha doon!” confident nyang sabi sa akin.

Natawa naman ako sa kanya kasi para syang Mommy ko kung maniwala sa akin. I am really lucky for having Maureen as my friend.

“Maureen I can drive for myself,” pagcontra ko naman sa kanya dahil nandito nga ang asungot nyang pinsan.

I looked at Damon and saw that he is intently looking at me.

Whenever he looks into my eyes I don’t know but I feel like I get hypnotize by his eyes or maybe its just my imagination.

Baka hinihipnotize nya talaga ako at marunong talaga sya non manyak pa naman tong lalaking to. I should really be cautious when he’s around!

“Pysche Estella hind inga pwede 2 hours drive ang Tagaytay from your place, you cant drive that far come on wala ka pang driver and pinakiusapan ko talaga si Damon kasi I am worried about you hindi naman pwedeng mag grab ka its not safe okay? So please please Psyche Estella just ride with Damon. I already told him to be nice to you. At isa pa hindi ka nyan susungitan kasi bihira nga yan magsalita.” Natatawang sabi nya sa akin.

May sasabihin pa sana ko kay Maureen when Damon ticked his watch.

Para bang sinasabi sakin na tignan kung anong oras na argh!!! Eto ba ang hindi mambubwiset?

“Maureen your kind cousin is telling me to take a look at the watch I am so sorry let’s just meet later okay?! Thanks again! Bye!!!” paalam ko kay Maureen.

Maureen bid her good byes and then also hanged up.

“Get dressed Miss Trinidad. We’ll be late.” Tipid na sabi ni Damon sa akin at saka tumingin na ulit sa magazine sa harap nya.

Hindi na ako sumagot sa kanya dahil na realize ko na its late na talaga its already 9 in the morning! 12 lang ang screening naming baka mamaya matraffic pa kami hindi pa ako unabis nagaayos and hindi ko pa din  nairready yung mga damit na sinabi ni Florence na igayak ko.

 Bago ako tumalikod at pumasok sa kwarto nagsalit ulit si Damon.

“You don’t have to worry you’ll arrive with me just take your time but not too much. I’ll wait for you.” Sabi nya habang naka tingin pa din sa magazine.

I don’t know why but I have seen him only for a few times actually yung unang beses na nakita ko sya ay sa Heiran hotel. I am sure that I have never seen him before that, but he feels different.

Strangely familiar. I don’t know why.
