Chapter 15
At the hotel, the North Korean leader lies down. He complains of nausea. “I blame this illness on the Hakarl. I didn’t enjoy that fermented shark dish they served us.” He orders his staff to bring him rice and porridge. “It might help my upset stomach.” The leader also tells his aide to bring him some antacid.
The tablets seem to help a little, but not enough. The leader yells at his staff. He’s impatient and wants relief. They give him more antacid, but the improvement seems minor. As he lies on the bed, he sweats profusely. Annoyed and suffering, he orders, “Open the windows and turn on the fan.” Eventually, he falls into a restless sleep. When he awakens, he stumbles to the restroom and collapses.
