Chapter Six: A sudden turn of events. — Third Person’s Point of View The door blasting open stopped Arth and Leonardo’s conversation. Standing from their seats to see what the commotion was about, Arth felt like her whole world stopped when she saw the two royal guards that took her earlier. They were scanning the room and she is sure as hell that both of them were looking for her. “The meeting must have been over.” Leonardo mumbled to Arth softly. However, in Arth’s perspective it was a mere murmur as she could not decipher what he just said. Panic rose into her system as she shifted her eyes towards Leonardo. “They are Prince Jaeden’s royal guards.” She began, and when she saw that nothing changed in Leonardo’s facial expression, Arth knew that he was already aware of that fact. “They are going to take me.” She felt her voice wavered, a pleading look plastered on her face as if there was a way for Leonardo to help her. But there was no way. Leonardo could never help her. “I am so sorry, kiddo.” He managed to say before the two royal guards spotted Arth then dragged her away. Looking back to Leonardo, a friend that she gained before she could die; the man offered a soft smile to her and she could only blink the tears away that were forming in her eyes. How she wished that she had her brother to protect her. Knowing their skills alone in combat fights, they can surely help her get away from these bloodsuckers. Not only that, she could eventually get away from this palace and go back to the Zeindall Kingdom and back in the House Wfauzhle and reunite with her family. Aside from Arth, other juice banks were also being dragged outside the room. The others were screaming and shouting and the others followed obediently without making a scene. Since the meeting already ended, the vampire masters are now gathering their blood slaves to relinquish the thirst inside them after a few hours. “I hope you ate a lot, Miss.” The one with a curly chestnut hair guard greeted Arth. “You might be able to survive the exhaustion in that way.” Judging the two royal guards, Arth realized that the one with curly chestnut hair was more kind to her than the blonde one. He had always been the one who was more patient with her in regard to her inquiries about the place and about Prince Jaeden. While the blonde one was harsher and more stern when talking to her. She leaned closer to the kinder royal guard. “You should have told me that earlier.” Arth blurted out, unaware that eating food would help her in a way. However, she just ended up drinking a pomegranate juice and she did not even finish it all. But she can not blame herself since she was more focused on the fact that she wanted to escape from this place rather than to satisfy her hunger from food. “I did,” The royal guard replied. “Actually we both did.” He let out a sigh. “You are probably the only human who never listens to what we say.” Arth scoffed, “You are going to drain the blood out of me and you expect me to listen to you.” She spat. “Touché.” The blonde one replied. Disregarding his comment, Arth wriggled from their hold. “Can you please loosen your hold. I am not going anywhere.” The royal guards were kind enough to follow her request. At this moment, Arth was skeptical whether she had a way out. But still, she needs to try. After being dragged for what felt like hours, they stopped in front of a massive wooden door with such intricate details carved on the wood. Seemingly like the same ones in House Wfauzhle. “This is your stop.” The chestnut guard mentioned eyeing Arth carefully. “It was nice meeting you, Miss.” He added. The blonde guard opened the door for her, “The prince is not in a good mood today so welcome to your death.” He belted at her then pushed Arth inside the room. With much force, the door suddenly closed. Standing still, Arth felt like she was immobilized and didn’t know what to do at the moment. She couldn’t even turn around as she was slightly afraid of what is yet to come. I’m going to die today, the thought was replaying in her mind like a song and seemingly like there was no stop to it. Gathering her strength and courage, she pivoted her heels. When there was no one inside the room, she took her time to look at the surroundings. Everything was full of black furniture and even the walls were painted in black. The room clearly lacked lights making it hard for Arth to see fully. With her tiny steps, she paced inside the room further and then saw another door that might lead to a room. All she could think about is the fact that the Vampire Prince that the guards claimed might be located inside. Wanting to know the truth and beyond, Arth immediately strode forwards and opened the door. The room was empty but the door to the balcony was open, so she continued her pace. In a jiffy that she was out on the balcony, her eyes widened and almost popped out of its socket. The man’s back was faced back to her so she couldn’t catch a glimpse of what he looked like but terror flashed into her as he was standing on the edge of the balcony and she knew exactly what was going to happen. The man was going to jump. Seeing the slightest movement in him, Arth quickly ran towards his direction. “No! Wait!”
