Chapter 46

Alpha Trevor’s POV

We finally all get to meet after the rogue situation. Belinda makes sure the kitchen staff brings us food since no one was able to eat breakfast this morning. I am glad we were able to avoid any casualties.

“Okay guys, so what did you learn and how many did you kill” I ask my boys

“None dead. Wesley beat one guy for making lewd comments towards Leticia. We only spoke to two, so if we need to, we can interrogate the others, but I don’t think they will have more information” Antoine said

“So, what do we know?”

“The person they work for calls himself The Master and that is how they know him. They were not able to provide a name, but he is a warlock. He has about 100 or so followers that include werewolves, witches and warlocks. They live in a castle, but they don’t know the location because it is spelled. They don’t portal though, so it’s within a 4-hour distance from the pack. He had cameras on some of the rogues, so this was more of a reckon and those guys were expendable. Luckily, the cameras had SD cards so we can see what’s on them. Rogue wolves seem to be the only ones he has helped. They are all there voluntarily but most because he’s paying them, so they are doing it for the money.” Desiree said

“I have gone through 4 of the 8 SD cards from the cameras, and they pretty much show the same things. It seems they turned them on when they got outside the pack. I still need to check the other 4. I can do that over the next hour or so.” Leticia says

“Okay, so what are we/who are we thinking is behind this?” Beta Matthew asks

“I know the goddesses have a plan for me, but they have not reached out to me yet. I know since shifting and then marking I have new powers, but that is all. I feel there may have been others involved in my mother's kidnapping and rape, and I have a feeling they will be looking for me. No one knows I am a white wolf yet, so unless someone has any other ideas, that’s all I have got”. Desiree says

“Okay, so we have someone on our radar but no definite suspects yet. At this time, we interrogate the other rogues and await info from the goddesses”, I say

“Wait, I may have additional info for you” Leticia says, sharing her computer screen with the large screen in the office and playing the info from one of the SD cards

“Zach is your camera on”

“I don’t think so, you’re the tech guy Walter, I don’t know, I’ll check”

“I want you guys to go to Crescent Lake and do some reckon. There is someone there that holds immense power and I want

that person. The person is about 17 or 18 years old. If you can get them, bring them back. If not, I need information about them being there so we can work on taking them”

“How do we know who this powerful person is?”

“They will have a powerful aura, you will be able to sense the power.”

“If they are so powerful, how are we going to take the person and fight Crescent Lake? There are only 20 of us”

“If you don’t think you can get the person, just do the reckon. I am paying you a lot of money. Just do what I say”

“The rest of it is them riding for approximately 3 hours and 42 minutes and the time at the border. I think we should talk to Zach” Leticia say

“Agreed. Good job ladies. Now I would like to discuss when you guys want to take over. All of you have your mates, and they have all started training for the roles. I know there are still some new revelations, ie someone being after Desiree, but I think there will always be something going on with you guys. I am thinking about the beginning of the year” I say

“I think that is a good time. We can have a New Year's Eve alpha ceremony. But we can announce our future ranked member's mates and make them part of the pack this weekend. What do you guys think?” Belinda says

“I think that is a good idea. The time frame works too, with the girls starting school in a month. That’s about 5 months away. I would like us to be able to move into our suites now. Is that an option?” Antoine says

“I don’t see why not. Especially since Leticia soaked their room with water, and it’s not usable currently”, I say with a laugh

“Your suites will need some finishing touches. The ladies and I will make that happen, and you should be able to move in within the next 2–3 weeks. Wesley and Leti can move rooms for now. Is that okay?” Belinda asks

“That’s fine. There was no rush, with us all being mated, I figured it was the easiest next step in the transition”, Anthony says

“Now, is there a plan for Amber?” I asked.

“Honestly, Uncle Trevor, no. Having to make this kind of decision regarding someone I call a friend and the younger sister to one of my best friends is not something I ever thought I would have to do, nor do I want to. We are okay with her staying in the pack if she would just leave us alone. We don’t think she will though. We don’t want to end her life; we can’t do that and look David, Aunt Maria and Uncle David in the eye again. We are open to suggestions”, Wesley says

“We already sent her to my sisters, and it seems that did nothing for her. We can banish her or make her an omega”, Maria says

“She will never survive as a rogue. That is no different than a death sentence for her”, Sharon says

“If we make her an omega, will she stay here? If she does, do we think she will toe the line then or still cause strife?” Leticia asks

“A lot of what Amber does is because she feels she is untouchable because she is the Gamma’s daughter”, David says

“I think before a decision is made, you may want to investigate other things she has done and other people she has harassed in the pack. This is not her first instance, and I think you need all the information before you make a decision”, Desiree states

“What do you mean not her first instance?” Maria questions

“I’m sorry, Aunt Maria, but I read Amber’s mind and there are other things you need to be aware of” Desiree says.

Maria falls into a chair and sobs

“Okay, if Wes and Leti are okay with it. Yvonne and I will investigate Amber’s actions in the pack and present it to the Alpha. If needed, he will bring you guys in. If not, are you okay with us punishing Amber?” Matthew asks

“Yes, but we don’t want to be harassed by her again. Leti restrained herself today. I can’t say she will next time, and Amber may get killed”, Wesley says

“That’s understandable and reasonable” I say

Unknown POV

They captured all my rogues. I am not surprised; Crescent Lake is a large and strong pack. What I was not expecting was to see my hybrid standing there and admitting she was the powerful person they were looking for. She looks so much like her mother. I knew Renatta was the right person to pick for her mother. I always loved her. Renatta was smart, kind, powerful and the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I prayed she would be my mate, or what witches call my beloved. I have always loved her, ever since we were kids. Unfortunately, she never knew I existed. No one in that coven knew I existed. I was a nobody. Always have been but not for long. I will possess the power of the prophesied hybrid. I have planned and prepared, put things in place to create the hybrid so that the power is mine, and I will have it. I’m sorry I had to use Renatta for my plan. Knowing she was being taken sexually by Alpha Nicholas was heartbreaking. Knowing someone else was inside of her body was more than I could handle at times, but I had to remember the end goal. The creation of the prophesied hybrid and becoming the one to possess that power and rule all beings. Now to put other things in play to make my destiny a reality.

“State your business here” the Eclipsed Moon pack guard asks as I pull up to the gate

“I would like an audience with your alpha” I reply

“Regarding”

“Tell him it is regarding his mate”

I see another guard go to the guard station to contact his alpha. A few minutes later, the man I have discovered is Alpha Teddy Turner and his Beta Cole Lake come to the gate.

“You request an audience”, Alpha Teddy states upon reaching the gate

“Yes, Alpha, I believe we can help each other. I would like to discuss a mutually benefitting partnership”

“What does this have to do with Desiree?” he questions

“I prefer not to discuss this in the open. The matter is quite sensitive.”

“And I prefer not to have an unknown warlock on my territory, so what’s your next suggestion” he states

“How about we meet on neutral grounds? There is a diner in town. I will meet you there at 2pm tomorrow”

“I’ll think about it. If I’m interested, you will see me. If not, don’t come to my pack again”, he states

“Understood” I say getting back in my car and driving away. He will come, he wants her too badly
