My first thought was to walk away from the dance floor and head towards Beta Max, but Alpha Tristan was in front of me. If I walk off, there was a high chance of him stopping me or asking what the issue was. That might lead to him being around me most of the time, which I would need to avoid, but the good news was I knew where the key was.
I just needed to wait until the dance was over. However, just as the dance ended, Alpha Tristan held me back the moment I took a step away from him. “We need to see someone,” he said, and I could only manage a smile and a nod before he led me off the dance floor to this man.
