Throughout the ride, I could feel Alpha Tristan's gaze on me. He was suspicious, and I had no idea how to change that. He has caught me twice doing that which I was not meant to do and despite trying as hard as I could to think of a way to ease the tension, it only became worse.
I eventually settled with just remaining quiet for the rest of the ride. It was better anyway. That way, I would not reveal what my plan was when I did not want to do so. I eventually felt guilty for what I was about to do. I might not have the key, but I knew I would do it. Could I be blamed?
