Chapter 7

1189 Words
Vivienne's POV I had to run away from him. Luckily, I spotted him from afar and knew I had to get out of the diner as quickly as possible. Ruby was still staring in shock when I yanked her up, rushing out through the second exit towards the park. It was closer to my house, so I could evade him. If he came after me, I would surely know thanks to the attention he always got with those many cars of his. I kept my eyes on the road constantly. “Why are we running away from the Alpha, Vi? I thought we were meant to use him for revenge against Scott.” Ruby asked, but I could not answer that question at the moment. It was of most importance that I make sure he would not see us before I answer that question. I could not peel my eyes off the road that was behind us. Ruby was my eyes in front of me, so I knew she would stop me from stumbling on anything. Plus, I occasionally looked in front of me, but quickly took my eyes back to the road. Ruby began tapping me, and I used my hand to get her to stop. But she did not. “What is…” the words sank into my stomach when I spotted Alpha Tristan. He was only two steps away from where we stood. He has his hands behind his back with his presence, grabbing attention from everyone around. He stood like a god, staring down at his disobedient subjects. The sun played a dirty game of making him look even more handsome. I wanted to run away, but he found a way to make me glued to the ground I stood on. He took measured steps towards me and Ruby let go of my hand immediately, bowing and then running away. I was so close to running after her, but he held me down with his eyes. He was getting close, and I immediately dropped my gaze, playing with my fingers. “Good day, Alpha,” I bowed. My heart was pounding in my chest. I could feel his strong aura around me. I could not help but feel like he wanted to rip me in two. He was calm, but very deadly. That was one thing about him. He never showed how powerful he was, but anyone could guess with the help of his aura and the confidence he had. “Done running?” his husky voice rang in my ear. “I- I wasn't running.” I stammered, barely able to act like I was telling the truth. “Lie better.” he said, and I almost thought he was joking. He lifted a brow, waiting for me to speak. A part of me wanted to repeat my words, but he has already caught on. “I'm sorry.” I dropped my gaze. “Follow me,” he said, and began walking off without waiting for me. I looked around the park, and all eyes were on us. This made me nervous, but it seemed it did not affect Alpha Tristan in any way. He walked into the woods nearly and only stopped when we were a few distances away from the park. There was a little distance between the both of us and I darted my eyes around, wondering whether I should run away or not. I had been avoiding him. I didn't want to speak to the Alpha. I didn't want to go ahead with the plan anymore. I knew in a way it was too late. Heck, I was pregnant for him, but I was too scared. I was scared of Alpha Tristan, and I was scared of the way he made me feel. I wanted to make him love me and unable to resist me, but I was the one feeling the pull between us. For one week, all I could think about was that I had committed a grave mistake. I knew he didn't want me. Maybe he wanted to kill me. Maybe he wanted to tell me to get rid of the child. He didn't turn to face me, so I took the opportunity to speak. I moved forward. “You don't have to tell me.” I said, and he turned around, his expression blank as he looked at me. “I know you do not want the child. I would leave the pack. Please do not force me to get rid of the baby.” I said, then swallowed when his eyes darkened. “Are you planning on running away?” he asked, taking steps towards me. I shivered in fright. Reluctantly, I nodded. I didn't want to, but if that would make him not kill me, then so be it. “It is better than you killing me because of it.” I managed to say. He raised his hand, which made me flinch, shutting my eyes. I felt his finger on my cheek, caressing it gently, causing me to slowly open my eyes. “I don't know if I should be mad at you for saying that.” he said softly, his eyes on the skin he touched. His eyes moved to mine, and I instantly looked away. He held my chin, tilting my face to have a look at him. “Why do you think I will kill you, Vivienne?” he asked, using his finger to move my hair away from my face. His eyes moved away from mine to my hair, but mine remained on his. He turned to face me a minute later. “Tell me.” his other hand held my waist, sliding over it slowly. “You…” I paused, swallowing. “I thought you don't want the child.” I said, searching his eyes. For a moment, I saw it blink red. However, it was quick to disappear. “I want you.” he confessed. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came to me. “Is it a surprise to you?” he asked. “I thought you wouldn't… I was Scott's mate.” I said. “Was,” he said, his hand sliding over my chin and the side of my neck. His fingers sending tingling sensation throughout my body. I was back to remembering that night. The way he touched me. My eyes went to his lips. I still remembered how they felt over my lips. I wanted them again. My body was burning up. I knew he could feel this heat. There was need between the two of us. It was wrong. We were not meant to, but we wanted it. Our lips slowly found its way to each other, and I found myself moaning at the way it tasted. I wrapped my hands around his neck, his hands roaming through my body. The last time we kissed, he did not move. He was holding himself back, but now he wasn't. I loved it this way. He pulled away and with lust filled voice, he spoke, “Marry me, Vivienne.”
