Breaking Chains

Chapter 1

There isn’t a day that I didn’t hear any sound of fight out of nowhere.Despite that I still don’t want to stand up and start the day, my alarm clock already ring repeatedly.

Myrtle Zamier is my lovely name, a fine lady from Angelus City. I am the eldes among our siblings and currently in Sophomore year in College with the course of Bachelor of Education Major in English in Wellington University.

Finally I got finished preparing myself, I am currently wearing my favorite black checkered polo partnered with pants and conversed while my hairstyle is fixed with full bun.After I finish preparing my things I suddenly hear a knock from my door,I suddenly saw my brother Lloyd Christian quite wondering what is he up right now.

“Sis,mom is calling already for breakfast so that we could all go already.”

“Thanks, I am about to go out already. Also better you are here now kindly help me in my things kind of heavy, We have role play later in one of our major subjects.”

“Fine,fine as if I have a choice you’re quite older than me despite it isn’t that obvious.”

Lloyd Christian is my little brother we have a 3 year gap, he is currently in his Senior Highschool year with the strand of Accountancy and Bussiness Management. He is about to continue our company as soon he graduated college while I gonna be starting my professor year after I graduated and hot my doctolorate and build my own library.

“Good morning My, go on your place already.” Mom greeted with a smile “Good morning too,mom where is dad?”

“He already go to the office, he have an urgent call but he said he’ll be here before dinner time.”

“Oh right,finish everything already. I better not be late once again due to your slow actions.” Christian said with an insulting manner.

“Christian is right, you both might late to your classes yet the driver is already waiting outside.”

“Fine,Let’s go.”I said and get into my favourite part in the van before Christian go to it once again, such a spoiled brat isn’t it.

“Stop murmuring right there sis, I still can hear you.” Christian said with a sarcastic voice said when he also got into the van

The driver automatically interrupted our nearing fight “Are we complete? Didn’t we miss something?” he curiosly asked

“None, we’re done already. Let’s go Jayn already got into her school together with dad.” Christian immediately said.

As soon we arrived at Wellington University, once again there are numerous shout of names due to as expected the gang group lead by Maximus just also arrived. They are currently wearing their group uniform.

“Please,look ate our side Maximus!” Repeatedly shouted by the girls in the hallway.

Finally I got into my room, as expected there are group side by side as if we don’t have any group activity for today.Such an messy room it is,board was filled with unmeaning writings,clothes were hanged in the windows.

“My, have you done the things we need for later?” Penelope asked as soon as she saw me at my place in the room.

“Yeah,I’ve done everything and it is in my locker for a while putted by Chris.”

“Thanks,as soon ma’am call each one and she called us atleast I know that we’re prepared.”

Such timing after that conversation.Ms.Azure entered our classroom and began discussing about our discussion for today.

After she discussed everything that is needed to be discussed for today she began calling out groups for the said presentation.When our group was called we began getting everything but there something in lack.

“You’ll find it,don’t lose hope” I said to myself

“Where is the thing about Statue of Persephone?”Penelope asked with an angry voice

“I don’t know,I know I put everything that we need for this but it suddenly came out to be like this.” I answered innocently

“Ms.Tanner? Is your presentation ready for today? THe whole class is waiting for you.”

“Yes,ma’am.We will present everything.”

“Good, I thought we are all just wasting our time here.”

Finally we’ve come to a plan for our presentation “Again here is the continuation of our presentation, it is all about Statue of Persephone.”

“Great day, once again here is our presentation about Statue of Persephone.”

“Statue of Persephone talks about how we are intend to be a better person each day no matter how everything seems to be hard.” Sylvester explained delightfully

“We better know our action before anything happen. We don’t know what might happen next.”

“At this point we are gonna let you watch a simple video that we’ve made so that you’ll understand more.” I said before going at the side of my groupmates.

“Thank you, Ms. Tanner and company for a heart warming presentation.” Ms.Azure said before going out

After we finished our presentation, We immediately fix everything and prepare for our next when Penelope suddenly came to talk to me, I wonder what is she up now.

“Myrtle, next time could you please be more careful in what is assigned to you. I know you know before everyone else the feeling of being none.”

“I’m very sorry Pen, I tried my best but it seems still not enough at all”

“Well, better be on your position. Before i do something about you” after that she immediately slapped me when someone grab her hand before it goes into my faace.

“How dare you, Pen all this years you’re still a brat after all. You never did grow up” Alexandrius said before removing his hand to Penelope

“I did not meant to” innocently said by Penelope.

“Don’t act innocently Pen, I’ve heard enough of your explanations. You’ll never gonna have me.”

“Let’s go My, this argument is such a nonsense with someone who don’t listen at all.” Alexandrius said and immediately grab my hand including my things.

“YOU’LL PAY FOR THIS!!” she shouted with so much anger at her voice

“Try and I don’t know what i can do to you.” Alexandrius said before we go out away from that place.

“Thank you for saving me once again Alex.” I said and slowly kissed him.

“I’ll always be here, no matter what happen, one thank you is enough already.” He said before extending the kiss that I started.

Alexandrius is my boy bestfriend since junior highschool, we’ve come so far already. We decided to be together when we are in our freshmen year of college as what we promised wayback that if nothing happen we will decided to be together for good.
