CHAPTER 21: Approach.
"Creighton!" I call out to him in a whisper, but he ignores me, still focused on the door he's trying to open. "Creighton!"
"Shhh" he growls over his shoulder at me, then turns back to the door, trying to open it with my hair clip.
Why am I doing this?
"Creighton!"
"Just watch" he growls again over his shoulder.
My hands are sweating from the nerves and fear I feel, adrenaline coursing like a drug in my veins, increasing my heartbeat.
Again, why am I doing this?
"Aurora, just watch out!"
An almost hysterical laugh comes out of me at the way he says that phrase. As if keeping watch while he forces a door is an easy task!
"Quick, Creighton!"
"Shh!"
Oh my goodness.
