Chapter No.8

Eleanor Osborne:-

" Eleanor, you sure you can handle this, dear?" a kind old lay and owner of the cafe asked with a polite smile while passing me the apron " I am sorry. I know this is your first day and I am burdening you with so much work. One of my waiter was already on leave today and the one who came has to leave early because of some family emergency so I am short staffed. You and Enid has to take care of the customers. Can you both do that?" she asked " Can you do that, dear?"

" Don't worry, Miss. Angelique I will try to give my best and make sure everyting runs smoothly with the help of Enid by my side." I replied putting on the apron and smiled at the waitress standing beside me namely Enid who was a high school student and polite.

" Ok, then I will leave you both to work." Angelique said and walked away after wishing us luck. And, just like that my evening started and man it was bombarded with orders today when we were short on workers.

"Your order will be out in fifteen minutes in the meantime do you want something to drink?" I asked the customer politely.

" A bottle of water will be fine." the customer replied with a smile and nodded his head. I took orders after orders and served it on their table when my worst nightmares enters the cafe making my eyes go wide and my heartbeat faster in my chest. There was no sign of Alexander with them and somehow I felt bad because maybe I wished to see him?

" Oh guys, look who is here." the b***h says when her eyes landed on me " The ugly fat cow is here." her group of friends take out intolerable voices and sat down on the table whne Enid reach for me.

" Is everything alright?" she asked " Do you know these guys?"

" Yeah, they are in my college and happens to be my bullies." I replied " Just please ignore them."

" Alright, do you want me to take their orders?" she asked " I wish I can kick them out but that is not the rule."

" Don't worry. You go and take their orders. I will manage others." I tell giving her a tight smile and watch Enid walking towards their table to take their orders but like the assholes they were, they refused to give her the order and demanded for me so they can make fun of me in front of the customer.

" It's fine, Enid. You go. I will take their orders." I tell her and take out the pad to write their orders.

" Welcome to Angelique. How can I help you?" I asked them in a professional tone. One of Jane's friend picked up the glass of water and threw it on the table on purpose.

" Oops, can you please clean that, ugly cow?" Heather asked.

" Sure," I take a deep breath and took out the cloth from my apron to wipe the water when Jenna stopped me by grabbing my hand.

" By clean. We mean clean it with your mouth and drink it. Trust me, we will give you a good tip to feed your ugly ass." Jenna said making me glare at her in anger when the owner Angelique came out of nowhere to my rescue.

" You spoiled brats again. I told you not to come to my cafe unless you behave." Angelique shouts at them " Now leave."

" You do know who my father is, right?" Heather asked " He can buy this whole cafe and kick you out of it or more like get it shut permenantly."

" It's fine, Miss. Angelique. I can manage. You go." I said with a fake smile because I don't want her to get in any kind of trouble because of me. I ignored them and wiped the water with the towel cloth and walked away when all of a sudden a man smacked on my ass from behind and let out a whistle.

" Nice ass. I bet it will look good when I f**k it with my dick." the man flirts bringing tears in my eyes because this was too much. I heard Jenna and the group laughing making fun of me. I don't know what happened next because the very next moment the man was lying on the ground groaning in pain holding his d**k.

" I bet you will look good without d**k, you motherfucking bastard. How dare you touch her?" Alexander shouts and landed punches after punches on man's face until I stopped him and pulled him away. When he looked at the tears in my eyes he let go of the man and pulled me in for a tight comforting hug as I break down crying in his arms.

"Sssh! It's okay. I am here. Everything is fine." he calms me down then glared at the group of his friends who looked aorund everywhere but at himm and gulped " Do you wnt to get out of here?" he asked concerned.

" I...I can't. There is so much too work and we are short staffed at the moment because of some emergency." I replied. He nodded and looked around then looked at the owner of the cafe.

" Angelique, how are you doing? How is your beautiful little daughter doing?" Alexander asked the owner politely.

" She is doing fine, boy. I am glad you are here and thank you for saving the poor girl." Angelique replied " What should I get you? Your usual?" she asked.

" No, actually I would like to help you out today since you are shirt staffed." he replied taking his group of friend and me by surprise as I looked at him with my eyes wide opened.

" What? You are going to help?" I asked " You can't."

" Of course, I can. After all we are frenemies so I can't see you suffering alone." he replied poking my nose with his index finger and took the apron from Angelique then looked towards his friend's side " You go and take orders from other table. I will take from them." he said walking towards his friends. He won't admit it to himself, to me or anyone but I know he is not doing this for Angelique. He is doing this for me. To help me out and that means so much to me and touched my heart. Who knows this bad boy can have this big heart that he hide behind his cold and rude exterior.
