Chapter 2- I Have Found Our Luna

961 Words
Jeff POV I have been summoned. At least that is what Brenda, my mate, jokingly said this morning. Last night I got a mind link from Jason our Beta that our alpha wants to talk to me about something important, but he would not say what. All evening I was worried that I had done something wrong, I barely slept which caused Brenda to complain this morning that she got little sleep due to my tossing and turning. Brenda and I met a few years ago at a party held in the pack. As I was the gamma I was rarely in the pack as it was me that was sent away to other packs to make allies and help those who requested it. It was on the off chance that I was at the party and met Brenda, I do not remember much of the party, but I remember the after party where it was just me, Brenda and my room. We mated and marked each other then and there, deciding to accept each other and start living our lives as a couple. The decision was easy for me, I had fallen in love with Brenda when we was at school but when I started my gamma duties I did not get to see much of her. However, turns out that she also had a crush on me, so the mating was perfect for both of us. Brenda completes me, she is like my other half and when she is not near me I feel empty and lost. She always makes sure that I know what I am doing and that I feel safe, and I do the same for her. Last night we were in the middle of our couple activity for the night, well round three anyway, when I got a mind link from Jason. To say I was annoyed was an understatement, but then when he told me that the Alpha wanted to see me first thing in the morning and that it was important, I began to worry. “Don’t worry, if it was something serious then they would have called you there right away.” Brenda soothed me, to which I agreed. But I could not shift the feeling that some big change was coming our way. Now here I am, standing outside my alphas office door, dread filling my body that something bad is about to happen. I knock on the door. “Come in.” comes the reply. There is no emotion in the voice so I cannot tell what mood our alpha is in. I open the door and see Beta Jason sitting in front of our alpha. “Ahh, Jeff just the man. Please come in and take a seat.” My alpha says. I nod my head and sit down opposite him and next to Jason. I nod in greeting to Jason who nods back, a smile playing at his lips. “Good morning, Alpha Sebastian.” I say nervously. Alpha Sebastian POV Humph. I roll over and throw my arm over my eyes, trying to stop the feeling of being sick from becoming a reality. I have one hell of a hangover, who knew that so much wolf beer would cause me to actually have a hangover. Your sick. My wolf cryptically pipes up with. No I am not. Yes, you are, you are love sick. My wolf snickers. I swear sometimes he is a child. What? Mate, remember? WAIT?! That actually happened?! I thought I had dreamt that. Nope, why do you think gamma is coming? Oh, goddess yeah! I forgot about that. I quickly jump out of bed and run to the shower, thoughts of the beauty of my mate swirling around my head. I rush to my office and get behind my desk. Just as I sit down Beta Jason walks in, smirking. “Hungover?” He asks smirking. “How are you not hungover?” I ask angrily. It is so unfair. “Because I can hold my liquor, plus I switch to good old human beer after the third round.” He smirks. “You slime ball.” I growl. “Not my fault you didn’t think of it.” He says, plopping down in one of the two chairs on the other side of the desk. I roll my eyes, but before I can say anything else there is a knock at the door. “Come in.” I say loud enough for them to hear, though being a wolf they would hear me even if I whispered. “Ahh, Jeff just the man. Please come in and take a seat.” I say, pointing to the only empty chair in the room. Jeff nods and sits down, glancing at Jason who has a smile playing at his lips. “Good morning, Alpha Sebastian.” Jeff says to me nervously. “Jeff, why are you nervous?” I ask. “I got told to come here first thing in the morning, but I do not know what I have done wrong.” He replies. I look at Jason who is smirking and I roll my eyes at him. Jason is always playing this prank on pack members; I asked him to ask Jeff here not scare the living daylights out of the poor sod. “You are here because I need to tell you some wonderful news. But you cannot tell anyone, not even Brenda. Do you promise?” I say, being honest but also coating the last part of the sentence in seriousness to indicate to Jeff just how important this conversation will be. “Yes alpha.” He replies, bowing his head in submission. “I have found our Luna.”
