Chapter 19

Aurora

Once Sophia was ready I made it to the stairs and yelled for dad. "Dad im ready to come down" I yelled. "Ok babygirl give me a second and ill be right there" he yelled back.

"Whats with the bookbag? And why are you wearing shorts and a t-shirt where is your bikini?" Sophia asked me. "My art stuffs in it. My drawing pads, colored pencils and stuff. I figured id take it down with me and draw later. Ive got a bunch of pictures on my camera to go through of the past couple of days but ill do that later. You know i always have art stuff on me somewhere" I said while laughing. "And my bikini is on under my shorts and t-shirt."

"Isn't that the truth haha. Hand me your bag and ill carry it and your scooter down for you it shouldn't be to heavy. And you dont need to hide here Aurora. Noone will say anything about your birthmarks."

"Shes right babygirl noone will say anything to you here. Your safe with all of us. Are you ready to head down?" dad asked. "Ok and yes i am" I said. "Sophia if you cant carry the scooter just leave it and ill come back for it after i get Aurora settled downstairs" dad said.

Sophia took my bookbag and dad picked me up. After he had me in his arms Sophia picked up my scooter without any problems and we started down stairs.

As were heading downstairs dad says "oh yea i forgot to tell you both Amelia has lunch ready for us all. I think she had spaghetti, salad and garlic bread made. Thats what it smells like anyways."

"Sounds good and it smells delicious" I said. Dad had let Sophia walk downstairs ahead of us so when we got down there she had my scooter sat down and ready for me.

Dad sat me down on my feet and held onto me as i got my knee settled onto the scooter. We all started to the kitchen when mammaw yelled that they were all outside sitting and had the food out there.

Sophia went ahead of us and because i was so slow dad walked with me. "You can go ahead and head out ill be behind you dad" i said. "No its ok ill stay with you and help you out. Im in no hurry and i get to spend time with my favorite girl" He said with a big smile on his face.

When we made it outside everyone is sitting at a tabe on the right side of the patio. While the porch on the front side is just a regular porch and it wraps around to the back. The back of the porch is a big patio style porch.

Theres a table on the right side and a big grill. They even have a big outdoor fireplace pizza over. Over on the left side of the patio they have a big sectional couch and chairs. Down in the yard is a big pool with tanning chairs around it and a jacuzzi off to the side.

Its really beautiful. I make my way to the table with dad to sit down with everyone to have lunch. "Amelia you're home is so beautiful. Im in love with this place. I cant wait to take pictures of it" I said.

"Thank you sweetheart, I love this place as well. Its one of my favorite places. After you take pictures of it id love to see them" Amelia said. "Im gonna fly her around the island so that she can take pictures from the air as well. Ladon wants to spend time with her also" dad said.

"Do you like taking pictures sweetheart?" mammaw asked me. "Art is my pasion, i love to take pictures, draw, sketch, paint, all of it. My exams that i did before spring break i had to paint a picture of someone from my family. At that time i still didnt have family so i talked to my teacher and painted a picture of Sophia and Jacky and got an A+ on it. I gave it Amelia" I said.

"Its beautiful and so well done that it looks like its a picture that was takin with a camera and not a painting. She did amazing on it" Amelia said.

We kept talking and getting to know each other while we had lunch. After lunch was done dad said he was going to fly out to check on Oliver and the boys,

He helped me down to the pool where Sophia wanted to hang out and sat me in a chair. Dad went back into the house to get a basket of stuff that Amelia wanted him to take to Oliver. Once he was gone i took off my shorts and Sophia helped me with my shirt. Having to wear the sling was a pain but we got it back on and got settled in.

Dad came back out a little bit later just wearing a pair of basketball shorts and carrying the basket. Dad came over to me and kissed me on the forehead.

"Im going to fly out to check on the guys and take this stuff out to them for Amelia. Ill be back soon and if you need something have dad call for me he'll be able to reach me, ok" dad said. "Ok dad be careful" I said. "I will babygirl I love you." "I love you to" i whispered with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes.

Dad got a big smile on his face and then walked away from us. Sophia said he was going to change into his dragon and they do that on the beach usually.

After dad disappeared from view, i was talking to Sophia when i heard something and looked to my right. I was in complete awe. My dads dragon was walking towards me.

"Glyn said to tell you that Ladon didnt want to wait to meet you and as soon as he shifted he headed this way to see you. He wouldnt take flight until he seen you with his eyes" Sophia said.

I looked at her with a confused look on my face because he didnt say anything. "We can mind link, its where we can hear each other in our heads. He linked me to tell you" she said.

"Ohh ok" I said. I turned to Ladon who was now in front of me. He bent down until his big head was right in front of my face. He was a Dark yellow with red, blue and silver on him. Sophia said that the colors of the dragons all had meanings to them and she'd explain to me later.

"Hi Ladon its nice to meet you to" i said with a laugh as he nuzzled me with his head. "I guess your my dad also right. I cant wait to get to know you better. And i cant wait to go for a ride with you. Be careful on your trip out to where Oliver is and back" I said.

I put my forehead against his for a minute and then kissed his forehead before leaning back. Ladon backed up and bowled before backing up more and then turning around. He picked the basket back up and then spread his wings and took off. It was an amazing site to see.

After dad and Ladon disappeared from view I sat back in my chair and chatted with Sophia. We got caught up on the stuff thats happened to us since we seen each other on Thursday.

Sophia told me what all shes done while shes been here. Which is pretty much just laying out in the sun. She has an amazing tan going on, im jealous.

I told her about my last exams and then having to work Thursday night, and all day and night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She was mad that i got talked into working long shifts but she knows how i am. Besides i ended up with all week off.

I then started telling her about my trip to The Clare Glens and how beautiful it was. "Do you remember that legend that you and Jacky was telling me about?" I asked her.

"The one about The Clare Glens? The one thats about mystic waterfalls, yea what about it?" Sophia asked me.

"Its real Soph, its a very real place. I took pictures on the way in but i dont know if they are on my camera or not, i need to check it."

"What do you mean its real, its just a legend Aurora." "No it is, when i got up to the big mammaw waterfall i stopped to take a break and use the restroom. When i was done i started walking again. After walking for about five or ten minutes i looked to my right and seen a swinging bridge. Something told me to cross it so i did. I was terrified that it would start swinging with me on it but it didnt. I even stopped in the middle to take pictures in both directions. When i got to the other side it was so beautiful. There was an Acacia tree and on down the path there was an arch made of branches with different types of flowers in it. When i stepped in through it, it was like i was in another world. I cant even explain how beautiful it was. There was a sign that said Mystic waterfalls on it. Someone and i cant tell you who, all i can say is a voice told me that im the chosen girl. I have not only a dragon and a phoenix that i turn into but ill also have hummingbirds that will help me and a basilisk that will protect me and can change into a sword. Lulu even verified it all for me. My mother put a protection spell on me and i wont be able to change until my twenty-first birthday in three weeks. By then i will be able to hear and talk to all six of my animals. I have already started hearing two of them" I said.

"Are you freaking for real?" She yelled. "Thats awesome Rora, what else did they tell you?" Shes asked me. I sat and told her what all was said by the voice and by Lulu. She was in awe by the time i was done.

"Oh my gosh" she squealed "your a princess like me. The only difference is that you will be a queen one day and i wont be. But im good with that. My best friend a freakin princess, this is so awesome. I wanna see your pictures im curious as to how they look now. Is your camera and laptop on the desk in your room?"

"Yes they are" I said. "Ok im gonna run up and get them ill be right back" she said as she ran towards the house. I just sat back and laughed at her.

A queen how the heck am i ever going to be a queen. Its daunting enough to think that im a princess. Im not sure that im suited to be a queen.

I decided to get up and head towards the porch. With Sophia's help i should be able to make it up the steps. After i stood up i got my knee situated on my scooter grabbed my bookbag and started towards the porch.

I had just made it to the bottom of the steps when i heard "And just what are you trying to do young lady?" I looked up to see my pappaw standing there.

"Hey pappaw, i figured id make my way over here and then wait on Sophia to help me up the steps. She went to get my camera and laptop and i figured we could sit at the table to look at my pictures" i said.

"Ill help you up here you dont need to try to hop up the steps and get hurt even more." "You dont have to do that, Im heavy" I said. "Nonsense your not heavy at all" he said as he picked me up and carried me up the steps. He took me to the table and sat me down in a chair. "See, your as light as a feather" He said while laughing.

"Your grandfather is quite capable of carrying you around. He may be two-hundred but he still acts like hes fifty" mammaw said.

Im sure my eyes looked like they were going to pop out of my head. "What" i yelled "two-hundred, thats a joke right. You guys cant be that old, heck you dont even look like you'd be in your forties."

"We dragons are immortal creatures, unless we are killed we live forever. All of us that will be staying here, with the exception of you, Sophia, Jack and James are all over a hundred. Dont worry we will explain more about our kind to you" Amelia said.

"Your mothers side of the family is immortal as well. Your mom is a hundred, or well if she's alive she is. Where dragons can be killed, phoenix's can be as well but we can be reborn. I will teach you everything i can about your mothers side of the family, dont worry dear" Lulu said.

That was alot to take in and even shocking. I thought that being a princess and one day a queen stressed me out just to think about it. Now add on that ill live forever.

I can only imagine how much more information ill find out about both sides of my family. "Dont worry we will all be here to help you along the way sweet girl. By the way im Electra the third and last of your hummingbirds" She said.
